HIMALAYA LIP BALM- REVIEW

HIMALAYA LIP BALM- REVIEW

10 gms for INR 20

Company Says:- Lip Balm enriched with Carrot Seed Oil, a natural sunscreen and Wheatgerm Oil, a rich source of Vitamin E, to nourish and soften lips.

Direction For Use:- Apply on lips as and when needed.

Ingredients:- Each gm contains: Oils Eranda (Rinicus Communis) 10mg, Garijara (Daucus Carota) 10mg, Godhuma (Triticum sativum) 10mg, Hyamaraka (Wrightia tinctoria) 10mg, Narikela (Cocos nucifera) 10mg.

* Store in a cool and dry place * Do not freeze * Ayurvedic Propriety Medicine * Hypo-allergenic * No harmful chemicals *

My Opinion:- I have been using this lip balm on and of for quite sometimes now. It is the most overlooked product of Himalaya. A single tube goes on and on for a long time. Its very moisturising and prevents chapping. A little balm under my lipstick keeps my lips soft and moist. This lip balm contains Wheatgerm Oil and Coconut Oil which are very nourishing and moisturising in nature. It also contains Carrot seed Oil which is a natural sunscreen. It stays on for an hour or 2 during daytime but at night it stays on till the morning. In the long run it prevents and heals chapped lips which most of us face during winters.
It has a somewhat fruity scent which is mild n doesn't stays on for long and looks like Vaseline, only its a bit thicker. The lip balm comes with a shelf life of 3 years and it claims to contain 100% herbal actives and its very cheap at only INR 20. The tube comes with an easy to apply slanted tip therefore there is no tension of contamination. But I do clean off the tip with a tissue regularly. Moreover it is a hypo allergenic lip balm without any harmful chemicals which makes it safe for kids also.

This product has no cons whatsoever and I rate this lip balm 5 out of 5. I will purchase it as soon as it gets over. Thanks to Himalaya for this great lip balm :D

REPUBLIC DAY NAIL ART

Final Look

Wish you all a very happy Repulic Day. I had not posted for few days as I was a little busy with my work. Since its Repuic Day Eve I thought of trying out a simple tri-color look on my nails. I used 3 colors- orange, white and green, tried using navy blue also but ended up using black :P So here is how I did my nails this time.

I began with applying colorbar nail treatment and let it dry out completely.

* Then I drew the pattern with a marker on all my nails.

* Now I filled in the white polish at first as it is easy to apply this way.

* When the white polish was dry, I applied green polish on 1 side of the white part and orange on the other side of the white part.

* Now I left it to dry completely and then give it a black border as it was looking too simple.

* Finally I sealed in my masterpiece :p with a top coat and I was done.

Thanks you Ladies for bearing with me :D. Please do leave behind your precious comments. Thanks

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY KAJAL- SWATCHES N REVIEW

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY KAJAL- SWATCHES N REVIEW

2.6 gms for INR 79

Ingredients:- Not Listed

My Opinion:- I love applying kajal on my eyes. I apply it everyday and my makeup seems to be incomplete without it. Basically my everyday makeup is just a tinted lip balm or gloss or kajal. I keep on experimenting with different brands and last month my pick was Avon Simply Pretty Kajal. It comes in only 1 shade- Black, matt and intense. I line my upper-lids with it after priming and powdering my lids and the kajal stays on for 3+ hours. I am happy to declare that this kajal don't fade off soon and also it doesn't smudge off.
But after the said 3 hours it fades off leaving a light-blackish vague line on my upper-lid, I must say that I am much impressed by this kajal. But when applied to my waterline it fades off soon leaving a line on the roots of my lower lashes. It wears off before the first hour of application and needs to be reapplied time and again- it sucks, also it smudges if I don't add a dash of powder below my lower-lashes. But otherwise it stays put till I remove it with a makeup remove from the roots of my lower lash line. Line on the upper-lid is easily removed by my Pond's Daily Face Wash.

Pros:- Cheap, comes in a pencil so I can keep sharpening it to make its tip pointed whenever necessary and in the process avoid contamination, intense black, easily glides on so no need to tug or swipe over and again. No irritation ( I have sensitive eyes)

Cons:- Ingredients not listed, smudges- but all kajals do, 3-4 swipes needed on my waterline.

I rate this product 3 out of 5 only because the ingredients of this kajal are not listed. Otherwise its a steal at INR 79 and I already have 2 pencils with me right now. Its not a must buy for me because I would rather prefer experimenting with another brand :-D
