HIMALAYA HERBALS PURIFYING NEEM PACK- REVIEW

Normal to Oily Skin
Deep cleanses & purifies for clear, problem-free skin

50 gms for INR 65

Company Says: - A purifying pack that helps to regulate excess oil secretion, cleans clogged pores and prevents the recurrence of pimples. Neem, well-known for its purifying and anti bacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples and their recurrence. Combined with Turmeric, it helps remove acne-causing bacteria. Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) cools and soothes the skin, improving skin texture and leaving you with clear, problem-free skin.

Key Ingredients: - Fuller’s Earth, Neem, Turmeric

Directions: - Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove with a wet sponge and wash with cool water. Use once or twice a week. Do not apply on broken or inflamed skin

May cause tingling sensation due to herbal active ingredients, which is normal.

Ingredients: - Each gm contains: Ext. Haridra (Curcuma Longa)* 20 mg.
Pdrs. Nimba (Azadirachta Indica)* 100 mg, Panka# 40 mg.
Ref.: * API  # Bhava Prakasha

Inactives: - Sodium Methylparaben IP, Sodium Propylparaben IP, Imidazolidinyl Urea, DMDM Hydantoin.

Natural herbal formulations tend to change color over time. However, the product efficacy remains unchanged.

My Opinion: - Two products that I have been using from Himalaya since many years now, Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash and Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack. I always keep backups of these two products just because my skin is oily and pimple-prone. If I do not have pimples than I don’t bother to use the face wash but I use the pack once in 10 days even if my skin doesn’t break out. During the winters my skin becomes combination and behaves well and that’s when I put this face pack to rest. Coming to the review now, this face pack comes in white plastic tube with green patterns and writings. It has a dark green flip-open lid which makes it travel friendly and hygienic as well.

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS UNDER FLASH

This face pack is of muddy green grainy textured, and the fragrance is very herbal with multani mitti and neem scent in it. I shake it a little before taking a small blob to spread on my face, then I take another blob and another one till my face is completely covered with this pack. I don’t apply a very thick layer and moderate layer does the work for me. It is easy to spread the pack with fingertips rather than a face pack brush. It takes around 15 mins to dry off completely in summers and 20-25 mins in cool weather. When it dries I splash some water on my face and scrub a bit before washing off. I know this can get messy but it’s worth the effort.

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS IN NATURAL LIGHT

When I use it during break outs, this pack helps to control the pimples and dry them out. I apply atleat once a week during my break outs otherwise I restrict using it to once in 10-12 days. For the first few uses a tingling sensation was felt on my skin but later on my skin got used to it. It is a face pack cum scrub for me, though Himalaya Herbals does not mention this. This pack is available in 2 different sizes and I always go for the small 50 gms tube as it is convenient to carry along while travelling. This face pack has the ability to make my skin clean and clear after every use. Inspite of all the goods, this face pack has 2 disadvantages- 1. It contains Parabens & 2. You might not know when it would get over as the tube is extremely opaque so when you feel the tube is getting lighter, then purchase a new tube or else you might be left with pack on one side of your face :P

AFTER SPREADING

Pros: -

* Controls & Dries out my pimples

* Affordable (Cheap) & easily Available

* Face pack plus works as a mild scrub for me

* Gentle on my skin, suits it as well

* Gives a fresh clean look to my face with regular use

Cons: -

* Contains Parabens

* Tube is opaque and you might not know when it is getting finished off

I rate Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack 5 out of 5 inspite of the 2 cons. I shall continue using this face pack until I come across a better one. Highly recommended to girls with oily-acne prone skin. Dry skin & sensitive skin girls please stay away from this face pack. I would wrap up by thanking Himalaya Herbals for this baby :D

Hope you enjoyed my review, do leave behind your precious comments and share with us experiences with Face Packs. Thank you and have a great day

Follow with Himalaya Face Moisturising Lotion. Use Himalaya Purifying Neem Pack once a week to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin.
Active Ingredients: Each gm contains: Ext. Nimba (Azadirachta Indica)* 50mg, Haridra (Curcuma Longa)* 5mg   (Ref: - * API)

Inactives: Phenoxyethanol, Methylcholoisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Sodium Benzoate IP, Potassium Sorbate
Color: Brilliant Blue FCF (CI 42090), Tartrazine (CI 19140)

Natural herbal formulations tend to change color over time. However, the product efficiency remains unchanged.

My Opinion: - I get pimples every now and then.  So I always keep a couple of face washes that claim to prevent/minimize the appearance of pimples. Therefore, today I am reviewing the highly acclaimed Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash which claims to prevent pimples and purify skin in all skin types. Right away coming to the packaging of this product, it very basic, very simple like most face washes. A transparent plastic tube with a flip open lid. The lid shuts tight and the packaging is very hygienic and travel friendly. It can be safely carried around in a purse.

The face wash is bright green in color, and is like a liquidy gel. It’s not exactly watery but it’s definitely runny. The fragrance is sweet herbal-y with a touch of fresh Neem leaves. According to me, the fragrance is refreshing and rejuvenating.  I take out a small blob on the palm of my hand, add a little water, lather it and apply it all over my face and neck. Then I wash it off and really feel fresh thereafter. I use this face wash atleast thrice a day and no it has not dried out my skin. But yes it controls oil for about 2 hours and then my nose becomes shiny (My skin is very oily in the summers). I generally use a toner and a moisturiser and top it off with a loose powder.

This face wash soothes my skin while breakouts, and truly prevents pimples and therefore I am very happy with it. It does not lather much (its soap free) and I am personally happy that this face wash does not contain SLS (foaming/lathering agent). It contains Neem which is extremely beneficial for pimples of most kinds. Also is contains turmeric which too is great for the skin. My skin feels clean, soft and clears up within a week. What more can I ask for from a face wash of Rs 50.

Pros: -

* It’s very affordable and easily available, it can be found in many different sizes

* Contains Neem & Turmeric which are good for skin

* Does not dry out my skin- I wash my face thrice a day

* Very gentle on pimples, soothes my skin

* Refreshingly sweet herbal fragrance

* Soap-free, hence very mild on sensitive skin

* Available in a number of different sizes

* All claims are true

Cons: -

* Does not foam/lather much, though for me it’s not a con but for others it might be

* It claims to purify skin in all skin types but dry skin girls stay away or use only once a day

I rate this Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash 4.75 out of 5. I recommend this face wash to girls with oily skin who are frequented with pimples like me.  Girls with combination skin can use it once a day but girls with dry skin stay out. I have been using this face wash for many years now and I must say I love it and always have it in stock.

Hope you enjoyed my review, do leave behind your precious comments and share with us experiences with anti-pimple Face Washes. Thank you and have a nice time

HIMALAYA HERBALS REVITALIZING NIGHT CREAM- REVIEW

Nourishes and repairs.
Restores moisture balance.
25 gms for INR 90
Suitable for all skin types.

Company Says: - Throughout the day, your skin is exposed to the damaging effects of pollution, sun-rays, dirt and grime. During night, the body’s restorative mechanism takes over to repair the skin damage caused during the day.

A deep penetrating, daily use cream that has Apple, Lemon and Tomato rich in Natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) which revitalize your skin. Wheatgerm, a natural anti-oxidant with Vitamin E protects and moisturizes your skin. Working with the skin cells’ natural regeneration cycle, infusions of White Lily with healing vitamins, provide intensive repair and nourishment throughout the night, so that you wake up with a soft, supple and revitalized skin.

Directions for Use : - Apply on cleansed face and neck each night, when skin is most receptive for repair and renewal. On waking, your skin is soothed, soft and revitalized.

Ingredients: -
Each gm contains: Exts. {Mahanimbu (Citrus grandis), Nimbaka (Citrus limon), Tamatar (Solanum lycopersicum)} 30mg, Seva (Pyrus malus) 30mg, Godhuma (Triticum sativum) 20mg, Ksirakakoli (Lilium polyphyllum) 20 mg.

Inactives: Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine. Hypoallergenic.
No harmful chemicals. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
Store in a cool and dry place.
Do not refrigerate.

My Opinion: - I have been experimenting with different night creams since the day I came to know about its benefits. At one point of time I was not even applying my regular moisturiser on my face at night, most girls use day cream/lotion during night also. Since night creams have become an integral part of my night time beauty regime, I am using Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream right now. In short if I have to write this review , then I am happy to say that I have found my HG night cream for the winter months. Though I am yet to find out how this night cream fares in the hot weather. Now coming to the packaging, it’s a big disappointment with the box it comes in. This little carton has a false bottom and so has the white plastic tub which carries the cream. If not checked properly, a person may think that this box/tub contains a large amount of product. Very deceiving on the packaging front I would say. The tub has a protective shield, a foil, to prevent the cream from getting onto the green plastic lid.

The fragrance of this cream is very mild floral, nothing very special and I  think girls with sensitive noses will not have any issues with the fragrance. Its utterly light in texture and its more of a gel-lotion type consistency. This is one night cream, which is so light but still effective, I suppose it will suit oily skin very well. Just a small blob is enough for the entire face and neck, and if you somehow apply a little excess of this cream, it sits on your skin just like a mask. But applied in the required amount, this cream penetrates the skin I feel. I don’t have to keep massaging or rubbing the cream on my skin as it absorbs quite quickly.

This night cream contains Natural AHAs, which are extremely beneficial for the skin. Also the rest of the ingredient list is impressive except the inactive ingredients (Parabens), never expected this from Himalaya Herbals. Regular use for 3-4 months has given me radiant skin, every morning I wake up with bright, moisturised and soft skin. I can barely say about the regeneration and repair claim but I can vouch for the rest of the claims made by the company. This cream did not break me out and also it did not make by T-zone oilier. It just about balanced the skin well for the cold days, you all know how cold it gets in Del/Ggn. This cream has made me happy with its performance,  inspite of being so cheap. I used 2 tubs of this night cream during the winters and I am yet to finish of the 2nd tub as you can see in the pics.

  Pros: -
·         Extremely affordable
·         Very light and yet highly moisturising
·         Quick absorbing
·         One 25 gm tub goes on for 2 months atleast
·         Impressive ingredients list including natural AHAs
Suits my skin very well during the winter and I am yet to finish off the 2nd tub I bought, still using it in this weather (nearly summer) and it’s working great on my skin
·         Didn’t break me out and gave me brighter skin every morning

Cons: -
·         Himalaya HERBALS  is not expected to use Parabens in their products
·         Deceiving packaging

I rate this Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream 4.25 out of 5 (-0.75 for false bottom packaging as well as parabens). This is a very good cream for oily skin but I have doubts regarding its performance on dry skin. It’s a must try product from Himalaya Herbals. Though I love Himalaya products very much, still I will not expect them to use Parabens as they claim to be a Herbal company.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading this review, please do leave behind your precious comments and also do tell us your experience with this night cream if you have used it. Thank you and do have a great 5th Saturday and happy March ending ahead :D

HIMALAYA HERBALS FOOTCARE CREAM- REVIEW

Clinically proven visible improvement for cracked and rough feet within 3 days.
Soft and Supple feet in 3 DAYS
Deep Moisturising * Non-greasy * Daily Care
20 gms for INR 40

Company Says:- Effective relief from dry, cracked heels and rough feet. Deep moisture for soft and smooth feet. Your feet take about 8000 steps everyday. The pressure exerted on your feet often exceeds your body weight. Also, about half a litre of moisture is lost through your feet every day, causing extreme dryness, loss of elasticity and damage to your skin. Yet, your feet remain the most neglected part of your body. Moisturising your feet regularly can help prevent these problems, keeping them soft and smooth. Himalaya FootCare Cream is an unique, daily-use, natural formulation that heals and softens excessively dry and rough feet, preventing cracks and helping protect feet from microbial infections. The gentle, yet effective combination of natural moisturisers provides an unique three-way deep moisturising effect, making your skin soft, increasing the natural moisture content and keeping your feet moisurized even during extensive exposure to the elements. Sal Tree extract has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric and Honey provide antiseptic and germicidal action, and Feenugreek helps heal cracks and relieve inflammation.
Use daily for soft, smooth, healthy feet.

My Opinion:-
The foot cream comes boxed with a paper flap shaped like a foot attached on top of that box. This cream from Himalaya Herbals is available in 2 sizes, unfortunately I got the smaller one but no problem with that. The white and orange plastic tube has a screw on green transparent lid.

The texture of this foot cream is soft and creamy and the consistency is that of a light cream. The cream is beige in color and gets absorbed very easily. I need a big blob for the entire foot and I like to massage it on my skin for a few seconds. This foot cream is very light and non greasy and spreads well on my skin.

I can safely carry this cream while travelling as it is a small tube and also the screw on lid is safe enough. The fragrance is a mixture of floral and herbal, which is pleasant and not very strong.

This cream has made my feet soft and smooth. I suppose it will be great for the summers as well. I can't really say much about the crack-healing claim because I donot have cracks on my heels. But this good foot cream gives adequate moisturization to my dry feet.

Pros:-

* Moisturises my feet well

* Roughness is gone, my feet are softer and smoother after regular usage

* Non-greasy formula makes it applicable for daytime

* Very cheap

* Gets absorbed very easily, spreads well too

* Natural ingredients like Sal, Honey, Fenugreek & Turmeric sounds very impressive

Cons:-

* A lot of product is needed for each application

I rate this Himalaya Herbals FootCare Cream 4.25 out of 5 (-0.75 because too much quantity is required for application on each foot). Its a good foot care product, a must try for all foot cream lovers. I love it and will keep coming back to this cream. I am on my third tube. Thank you for reading this post, have a great day ahead :)
