My Opinion :- I have not used soap on my skin for a very long time be it my facial skin or body skin in general :P But I always use a face wash/cleanser for my face and a body wash for my body. I have normal skin on my body with oily back & chest and dry limbs. I know it sounds weird but that's the way my skin is. I get a couple of pimples on my back during the hot days from time to time. Its not that I don't clean myself well but its just that I get them.

The body wash comes in a sturdy plastic squarish transparent bottle and is travel friendly as the flip top/lid click shuts tightly. When I took out a blob of The Nature's Co Spearmint Body Wash body wash, it smelt like some medicated mouth wash with mint flavor :D After adding a little water it foamed so well that the small blob was enough to clean my whole body. I either use a loofah or my hands, both ways the cleaning is effective. This body wash is a dark forest green shade and its consistency is neither too thick nor too runny/watery.

I have been using it for more than 15 days now, daily once. Since its made for oily skin, I was a little worried. But this body wash didn't make my arms and legs dry, its not harsh on my skin. Apart from imparting a fresh cool feeling to my skin, it has effectively controlled the oiliness of my back and chest. Actually I had 5 pimples on my back when I first started to use this body wash. But after 5-6 days the pimples were gone/healed and there is no sign of any recurrence. It is 100% natural and consists of natural hill spring water which is very soothing and healing.

Pros:-

* 100% natural, product is cruelty free, vegan and eco-friendly

* Hasn't dried out my skin

* Has dried out/healed the pimples on my back

* Gives a fresh feeling

* A little product is needed for a single wash so 250 ml for INR 485 seems okayish

Cons:-

None except the smell of medicated minty mouth wash which is gone after rinsing the body with water

The Nature's Co products are not available easily but they are available online

I rate this product 4.75 out of 5, .25 I have deducted for the smell :/ Otherwise this is out and out a great product and I will purchase it when this bottle gets over, maybe it will take 3 months or more. Its a must try for the ones with oily backs, also suits normal skin. The Nature's Co. products are amazing.

Hope you enjoyed my review, do leave behind your precious comments and share with us experiences with Body Washes. Thank you and have a great evening ahead :)

This product was sent to me by PR/Company for consideration but my review is honest as always

We all love to have a glowing skin, specially for important functions like parties, marriages, festival etc. If you are serious about the glow and fairness try out this mini facial.

* Start off by cleansing your face and neck with a cleansing lotion and cotton balls.

* Mix together 1 tbspn milk, 1tspn almond (powdered), 1 tspn chironji/ Buchanania lanzan (powdered) and a generous pinch of saffron (kesar). Now massage your face and neck with this paste for 10 mins.

BIOTIQUE ALMOND KAJAL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

Biotique Almond Kaajal- Swatches & Review

3 gms for INR 100 (approx)

Company Says:- This natural blend prepared in traditional Ayurvedic method improves your vision and promotes the growth of eye lashes. Made from natural extracts. You can apply this Kaajal everyday to add sparkle to your eyes. Pure Sesame Oil, Sweet Almond Oil along with extracts of Eclipta Alba and Indian Gooseberry nourish the eye area.

Ingredients:-
Almond Oil- 10%
Triphala Extracts- 5%
Mulethi Extracts- 2%
Kapoor- 2%
Netranjan- 5%
Kaajal- 2%
Ointment- Q.S.

My Opinion:- I love to wear kajal all the time and keep on experimenting with various brands. I have learnt 1 thing about kajal in the long run is that it smudges- sometimes immediately and sometimes a little later. This Biotique kajal is no exception, it smudges immediately after applying. If I powder the area around my eyes then this kajal stays on for not more than 30 mins without getting smudged. It is satiny and intense black and glides on very effortlessly. That is 1 factor I love about this kajal. Biotique kajal is fully ayurvedic and contains natural ingrdients like Almond Oil and Sesame Oil. This is another factor I love about this kajal. It glides on my lid very easily and also lines my waterline easily in a single swipe. I like this kajal for many reasons but the only reason I could not make it my HG kajal is that it smudges like hell and gives me raccoon eyes. In an hour it makes me look like a panda =D It doesn't irritate my eyes and gives a cool feeling upon application, this is because of the presence of Kapoor. Hope Biotique does something about this smudging problem.

Pros:- Ayurvedic, contains natural ingredients, affordable, easy to remove, 5 years shelflife

Cons:- Cheap looking packaging, smudges a little too much, lasting power too bad

I rate this product 3 out of 5. No I am never repurchasing this Kaajal ever again.

HIMALAYA LIP BALM- REVIEW

HIMALAYA LIP BALM- REVIEW

10 gms for INR 20

Company Says:- Lip Balm enriched with Carrot Seed Oil, a natural sunscreen and Wheatgerm Oil, a rich source of Vitamin E, to nourish and soften lips.

Direction For Use:- Apply on lips as and when needed.

Ingredients:- Each gm contains: Oils Eranda (Rinicus Communis) 10mg, Garijara (Daucus Carota) 10mg, Godhuma (Triticum sativum) 10mg, Hyamaraka (Wrightia tinctoria) 10mg, Narikela (Cocos nucifera) 10mg.

* Store in a cool and dry place * Do not freeze * Ayurvedic Propriety Medicine * Hypo-allergenic * No harmful chemicals *

My Opinion:- I have been using this lip balm on and of for quite sometimes now. It is the most overlooked product of Himalaya. A single tube goes on and on for a long time. Its very moisturising and prevents chapping. A little balm under my lipstick keeps my lips soft and moist. This lip balm contains Wheatgerm Oil and Coconut Oil which are very nourishing and moisturising in nature. It also contains Carrot seed Oil which is a natural sunscreen. It stays on for an hour or 2 during daytime but at night it stays on till the morning. In the long run it prevents and heals chapped lips which most of us face during winters.
It has a somewhat fruity scent which is mild n doesn't stays on for long and looks like Vaseline, only its a bit thicker. The lip balm comes with a shelf life of 3 years and it claims to contain 100% herbal actives and its very cheap at only INR 20. The tube comes with an easy to apply slanted tip therefore there is no tension of contamination. But I do clean off the tip with a tissue regularly. Moreover it is a hypo allergenic lip balm without any harmful chemicals which makes it safe for kids also.

This product has no cons whatsoever and I rate this lip balm 5 out of 5. I will purchase it as soon as it gets over. Thanks to Himalaya for this great lip balm :D

LOTUS HERBALS-SEDUCTION BOTANICAL TINTED LIP GLOSS- SWATCHES & REVIEW

Cranberry Punch- Lip Swatch
LOTUS SEDUCTION BOTANICAL TINTED LIP GLOSS- SWATCHES & REVIEW
4.2 gms/5 ml for INR 195

Company Says:- Non-Sticky * Ultra Shine

Ingredients:- Grapes and Jojoba Extracts

Cranberry Punch- Hand Swatch

My Opinion:- I bought this lipgloss a few days ago and since then I have been using it each evening. And no I am not wearing it over any lipstick but on my bare lips. My lips are in bad condition during winters, they literally peel off :D So I am always on the lookout for moisturising lip products. And this one is just what I wanted.

Its mostly non-sticky as the company claims and it is quite shiny when freshly applied, the shine fades out after 5 hrs on me. This gloss doesn't bleeds or smudges on my lips, stays put till I myself remove it. It has very little shimmer which I like so much. A single coat on my bare lips gives a rich color but with another coat the color intensifies. Used over a lipstick it looks amazing, very intense which I love a lot. This gloss has a mild floral scent and the applicator is slant at the tip like most other glosses.

I rate this product 4.5 and want to get the bright pink shade soon, sorry I didn't bother to take notice of the shade names :P As for now I am liking it a lot and its quite cheap as well :D

Beauty Aids From The Kitchen Garden-II

Hi Ladies, continuing my post on beauty aids from the kitchen garden, here I have some more beauty recipes for you all.

Avocado (Aaroo):- It is rich and nourishing with high vitamin contents. It is widely used in making herbal cosmetics and can be used to soothe and smoothen dry skin. Mash a ripe avocado and add a few drops of lemon juice and the white of an egg. Mix well and apply on your face and neck. Leave it on for 15-20 mins and wash off with tepid water. The skin will absorb all the vitamins and oils and will benefit very much.

Lemon:- Lemon is known to be a bleaching agent and a natural astringent too. It is not good for dry, sensitive and parched skin types but is very good for oily and blemished skins. A mixture of honey and lemon juice is used to lighten dark spots on the body especially on the elbows and knees. Add milk and lemon juice to oatmeal powder to make a mask. Apply on face and neck for 15 mins and wash off. It will cleanse and liven your skin color. Using lemon juice on your hair helps prevents dandruff.

Potato:- Thin slices of potato can be used for rejuvenating tired eyes and also reduces dark circles. Potatoes also lighten blemishes on the face.

Marigold:- The orange marigold is a very prolific garden plant. A disinfectant herb, it has a very effective result in beauty treatments. Marigolds are known for their healing properties. You can prepare Marigold skin tonic at home very easily. Mix about 2 tbspn of dried Marigold flowers or 3 handfuls of fresh ones to 2-2 1/2 cups of boiling water. Cool and add 2 tbspn of Witch Hazel, bottle it. It is specially very useful for greasy and spotty skin.

Rose:- You can prepare Deluxe-rose water yourself, which you will find very pure and clean. Take 2 handfuls of dark, scented rose petals and put them into a wide topped bottle. Now add about 1 liter of water and 200 gms of sugar into the bottle. Keep this mixture for 2-3 hours, shake in between. Then strain and store it in a cool place. This is a very precious homemade skin tonic.

Hope you all benefit from the above recipes and leave your precious comments. Thanks :)
