My Opinion:- Body washes are a favorite with me, I tend to pick up as many as possible and use them according to my mood. I have used Oriflame as well as Avon body washes and many other brands including Lux and the rest I can’t remember right now. But the one I am reviewing today is Palmolive Thermal SPA Massage Body Wash which is a pretty blue in color. It’s a frothy runny gel kind of body wash and it has some off-white particles in it which is very fine, not at all abrasive. These grains must be the white clay, thermal minerals and massaging micro-spheres but I am not sure.

             Coming to the fragrance, the smell reminds me of the deep blue seas. The fragrance is fresh, crisp and rejuvenating. It’s nothing special but I like it. Also I sometimes relate it to the fragrance of many gents personal care product but it’s not strong. I use it with a loofah on my wet skin. I put a blob or two on the wet loofah and lather it and then use it all over my body. This body wash lathers very much and I love all the lather over myself :P It is more effective when used with a loofah but when I use it with my hands it does not lathers up and also a lot of product is required.

                  This body wash gives a clean and refreshing feeling to my skin. I cannot say a word about the terms “Thermal”, “Spa” and “Massage” but it gives a gentle exfoliation to my skin and leaves it smooth and supple. It is a body wash and its main duty is to clean and that it does without a doubt. This body wash does not leave behind any residue on my skin and wash off with minimum effort. Do not need gallons and gallons of water like many other body washes require to get off my skin. the main advantage of this body wash is that it does not dehydrated or dry out  my skin and in every season it has kept my skin soft and smooth. A huge quantity of 250 ml is cheap for the price of 100 bucks. I don’t have any complains and its scent really gives the feeling of well being and freshness.

WHITE CLAY PARTICLES

Pros: -

* Affordable and easily available

* Lathers well but its soap free

* Cleans my skin without leaving behind any residue

* Keeps my skin soft and supple

* Does not dry out my skin, not even in the cold days

* Does not need gallons of water to wash off

Cons: -

* I don’t think the term “Thermal Spa Massage” has anything to do with this body wash

* Contains SLS

              I rate this Palmolive Thermal SPA Massage Body Wash 4 out of 5. I become weak when it comes to body washes so girls please excuse my rating :P since I am being a little partial towards this body wash. It’s nothing special but it does its job well. I shall definitely purchase the other variants of this body wash.

POWER SHOWER

Showers are a good perk up in the morning. A great way to start your day. Showers are quick and stimulate your body.

Start with tepid shower and end with a blast of cold water for just a second. Allow thie powerful spray to come down on your body. Give your body an invigorating buff with a body brush/loofah. Use a mild shower gel in a citrusy fragrance. Rinse off with the sting of shower.

Dry vigorously, using a towel folded lengthwise. Clasp the ends of towel and see-saw your back and lower back dry.

Smooth on a rich moisturising body lotion for that soft and shiny skin.

Never soak yourself in a very hot bath. Fill the tub with hot water roughly 7 inches deep and add required quantity of cool water to make the water bearable but not hot or cold. Add 6 tbspn of Epsom salt and climb into the tub.

Your lower body till your waist must be immersed in the water. Now splash water all over yourself and follow by rubbing and scrubbing your body. Clean finger/toe nails with a nail brush and scrub off dead cells on your heels with a pumice stone or foot file.

Use a body brush to clean the skin on your back and shoulders as these areas are more prone to blemishes. A loofah/sponge can be used for the rest of your body, with firm circular movements.

Slide further into the tub and gently rub your stomach with a loofah in a clock wise direction. This will encourage circulation and help to break down cellulite buildup. Step out and rinse with plain water. Dry with a soft fluffy towel. Apply body lotion in a fragrance you love.

For a herbal soak- Sage leaves, Rose petals, Lavender and Sea Salt can be mixed together into a small muslin bag. Run hot water through the muslin bag and fill up the tub as required. Soak in this precious water for a luxurious feeling. It leaves your skin feeling soft and silky.

BATH OIL- DIY SERIES

                          Precious drops of olive or almond added to your bath water enhances a creamy, shiny and smooth skin. Aromatherapy is the use of scented essential oils. These oils help to i,prove circulation, soothe tiredness and even helps to fight infection. Rose, Lavender (my fav) and Chamomile are the best oils for relaxing. Inhaling essences like sandalwood and Chamomile is said to have a calming effect on the mind. All you need to do is add a few drops of your favorite oils into your bath water and bathe in it.

A Rich DIY Bath Oil

1 cup Olive Oil

1 tbspn Body Wash

1 cup Vegetable oil

1 tbspn Lemon Juice

Blend all the ingredients together. Store in a glass bottle and use 1-2 tbspn for your bath.

Milk Baths For Soft & Silky Skin

              Cleopatra used to take Milk Baths everyday so why not you too start doing it once in awhile. Milk baths are an ideal way to nourish and soften your skin especially during the winters. Milk baths can be a costly proposition but I have come up with a couple of milk based baths that won't pinch your purse.

* Add 1/2 cup whole milk to your bath water. Swirl it to mix well and use the water for your bath.

* Take a small muslin bag and fill it with- 3 tbspn each of milk powder, powdered oats and laundry starch. Dip the bag into a bucket of water and leave it immersed for 5 mins or until water turns milky. Bathe with this water.

* Take 3 tbspn of milk powder, 1 tbspn of almond oil and 1 tbspn of powdered oats. Add 2 cups of hot water to the powders and strain the liquid. Now add the oil and pour into your tub or bucket.

             After bathing always dry your entire body with a large fluffy towel. Thereafter use you favorite moisturiser on your body while still damp. Wait for a couple of mins before putting on your clothes.
