L'OREAL PARIS KAJAL MAGIQUE- SWATCHES & REVIEW

0.35 g for INR 245

L'oreal Paris Says: - Get over ordinary kajals, L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique – the queen of kajals has arrived. Step into the spotlight and let your eyes do the talking.

** Supreme black - A new generation formula! Powered with mineral pigments for deep intense colour.

** Extraordinary Care - Kajal Magique is formulated with care ingredients and gives a soothing feeling. Enriched with Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil Esters and Vitamin C Derivative.

** Smudge-Proof for up to 12H

** Non Transfer

** Waterproof

Ingredients: - Not Listed

My Opinion: - Kajals are a staple in my vanity, I need many kajals, all for different purposes. Some I like for lining my lid, some for the waterline, some for smokey eyes etc etc. I love kajals and I keep on purchasing new ones every now and than. The kajal in question today is Loreal Paris Kajal Magique, a recent launch from Loreal Paris. I used it for a month straight and it now its over. So here I am with the review. The packaging is hot pink and black, sleek and girly, I would rather call it stylish. The plastic slim pencil is black with a hot pink band on its cap and pink fonts on its body. The kajal pencil is retractable so no product is wasted while sharpening and the cap shuts tightly so its travel friendly :)

                        The tip is soft and the formula is creamy, glides on my eyelids without the "tugging & pulling". As claimed by the brand as "Supreme Black", its actually not very well pigmented and also its sets in to a matte powdery finish. I need 2 swipes on my lids and at least 3 swipes on my waterline for intense black rimmed eyes. I refrain from applying pressure on the tip while swiping it on my skin because its quite soft and the tip might break. The pigmentation is not good enough, its not intense black and I wouldn't be able to call it the blackest black. It is more of a smokey dull black, so I love to do smokey eyes with this one.

                         Now coming to this kajal's staying power, it lasts on my upper (oily) lid for a good 7 hours with minimum smudges at the outer corners. On my waterline, this kajal stays for 4 hours and starts to wear off and gets trapped on my lower lash line. Since my lids are oily, the kajal disappoints me when it sticks to my crease. Also another disappointment is that it gets accumulated on the inner corners of my eyes like cheap kajals. The kajal pencil's tip does not give thin precise line after 2-3 uses, it becomes blunt and the lines are thicker. It does not wash off with a regular face wash, a creamy cleanser or plain old Almond oil does clean it off properly. You can as well use an eye makeup remover if you want to.

Pros:

* Affordable  and Easily Available

* Retractable so no product wastage

* Travel friendly as the cap shuts tight

* Waterproof

* Comes with the goodness of Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Vitamins C & E

* Stays on upper lid for 7 long hours

Cons:

* 12H smudge-proof is a very tall claim but its false

* It is not supreme black as suggested by the brand, atleast 3 swipes are required to get a dark black line on the waterline

* Complete ingredient list is not given, though a few are made known

* The tip becomes blunt and does not give thin precise lines

* Its a matte kajal and sets in to a powdery look (might be a pro for many)

                       I rate Loreal Paris Kajal Magique 4.25 out of 5, as it does not perform any better on me than Lakme Eyeconic Kajal and Maybelline Colossal Kajal. I like glossy and very black kajals and this one is a dull black. Girls go and grab it if you don't expect so much from a mere kajal like I do. For the upper lid staying power and aiding smokey look, yes I like it a lot.

Hope you enjoyed my review, do leave behind your precious comments and share with us experiences with Kajals. Thank you and have a great evening :)

MAYBELLINE 24 HOUR COLOR TATTOO- BAD TO THE BRONZE- SWATCHES & REVIEW

4 gm for INR 350

Maybelline Says: - 24HR Intensity, Tattoo Tenacity.
                             * Dare to wear our longest-lasting shadow.
                             * Our ink technology creates super-saturated color.
                             * Cream gel smoothes on for vibrant color that does not fade.

Available in 8 stunning shades:

1. Bad To The Bronze
2. Bold Gold
3. Fierce And Tangy
4. Pomegranate Punk
5. Edgy Emerald
6. Tenacious Teal
7. Painted Purple
8. Audacious Ashpalt

My Opinion: - The first shade I bought from this range of Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo is Bad to the Bronze along with Bold Gold. The Bad To The Bronze one, I have already hit pan as I wore it every single day back then. And according to me its the prettiest of all the 8
shades available, its a bronzy-browny shade with cool taupe undertones. Its a unique shade and I do not have a similar shade in my entire eye shadow collection. It was love at first sight and I picked it up immediately. This cream shadow comes in a not-so-heavy glass jar with a black screw-on lid. The packaging is travel-friendly and apt for on the go use. This cream shadow has a bit of inky smell to it but it's not strong enough to put you off.

                    The texture is soft and buttery which makes it easy to apply on my lids without tugging which is a good point. Its a smooth & creamy gel based shadow which needs to worked fast with. I apply it on one after the other eye so that it might not dry up and blending is easy. It does not dry very fast but still need to work fast. It comes with a brush which is decent enough to apply the cream shadow but I prefer fingers to the brush as fingers makes it much easy to apply, spread as well as blend the shadow with ease. It looks quite shimmery on the pot and actually its loaded with very finely milled iridescent and gold shimmer, you can see that on very close inspection. Also I found a few random specks of silver shimmer in it but on application it gives more of a pearly finish rather than a shimmer look.

              The pigmentation is decent and a single swipe is enough to cover your lids but if you want more coverage, it can be built up for more opacity. Whenever I am rushing out which nearly always I am, I reach out for this color tattoo as I can apply & blend it with my finger. Then I need to apply just eye liner & mascara and I am good to go. This color tattoo can be used alone or topped with other shadows but I mostly prefer wearing it alone. This cream shadow once set, does not smudge or budge from its place. It did not crease or melt in the hot summer days, but my friend who has dry lids complained of a dry-wrinkly look after this shadow sets. It is waterproof and stays on my lids with a minimum (negligible) amount of fading for a good 7-8 hours. Removing this cream shadow is easy, you just need to wash off with face wash and water.

SWATCHED HEAVILY

Pros: -

* Affordable and Easily Available

* Texture is buttery & soft

* Glides on my eyelids without pulling or tugging

* Stunning shade of taupe-bronze which will suit/flatter most Indian skin tones

* Can be used alone or as a base

* Does not dry immediately, can be smudged & spread at ease

* Stays on for ever, till I remove it myself

* Easily washes off with face wash & water, no makeup remover required

* Lovely pearly finish makes it good for everyday wear

* Decently pigmented, can be built up for opacity

* Does not smudge & budge

* Waterproof

SWATCHED HEAVILY- AFTER PLACING UNDER WATER

Cons:

* Imparts a dry & wrinkly look to the lids if eye cream is not used underneath for girls with dry lids

LEFT- SINGLE SWIPE & RIGHT- DOUBLE SWIPES

                I rate Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze 4.5 out of 5. A neutral pearly-finish browny shade for everyday wear and will suit most Indian skin tones. It is my favorite go-to shadow whenever I need to rush. Although I have hit pan on this color tattoo, I still have much product left in it to repurchase. But I definitely will once it gets over which I don't think is anytime soon. Highly recommended for girls who adore neutral shades.

Hope this review helped you in some way and do leave behind your sweet comments and also tell us which is your favorite shade of Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo. Thank you and have a rocking Afternoon :)

ORIFLAME OPTIMALS SEEING IS BELIEVING MULTI BENEFITS EYE CREAM- REVIEW

All Skin Types

15 ml for INR 439

Company Says: - Light weight eye cream visibly reduces puffiness, brightens dark circles and help smooth out fine lines. Its D-circle complex helps reduce puffy eyes and brighten dark circles. Eyebright extract helps soften shadows.

Ingredients: - Aqua, Glycerin, Isopropyl Myristate, Sesamum Indicum Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Dimethicone, Petrolatum, Sorbitan Stearate, Tetrahydroxyproply Ethylenediamine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Caffeine, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Euphrasia Officinalis Extract, Propylene Glycol, Saxifraga Sarmentosa Extract, Vitis Vinifera Extract, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protien, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Allantoin, Sodium Metabisulfite, Sodium Sulfite, Xanthan Gum, Morus Bombycis Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Extract, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, EDTA, Chondrus Crispus Extract, Glucose, Sorbic Acid, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, CI 42090

Some of the Ingredients simplified-

Vitis Vinifera: is our common grapes and its skin extract, leaf extract and the fruit extract is used for their varied properties in cosmetics. It is mainly used for its skin conditioning and antioxidant properties.

Morus Bombycis: is an extract found in mulberries which is often used in cosmetics due to the presence of Arbutin. It controls the production of Melanin thereby naturally lightening the skin. It is also high in antioxidants and has anti-aging properties.

Euphrasia Officinalis: also known as Eyebright is used in eye lotion/cream and eyewash. It soothes irritated and inflamed eyes. This herb is used to combat as well as treat many eye deseases/problems.

Scutellaria Baicalensis: also known as Baikal Scullcap is a genus of flowering plants of the mint family. Its root is used for medicinal purposes. It is a antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory agent.

Chondrus Crispus: also known as Irish Moss or Carrageen Moss is an moisturising agent used in creams, mask ,wrappings, shampoos ans emulsions.

My Opinion: - Eye Creams are a necessity for me as I am sleep deprived at times and therefore puffiness and dark circles are regular problems I face. Though my dark circles are light but the puffiness is real ugly at times. Today I am reviewing Oriflame Optimals Seeing is Believing Multi Benefits Eye Cream which I have been using since many many years now but on and off, not regularly. I love the cute glass jar it comes in, though its not hygienic since I have to dip my finger in the jar, I still love it. The eye cream comes in a grey-blue carton and is a heavy glass jar with a screw on grey plastic lid. Upon opening the lid, a silver foil protective shield can be seen which prevents the cream to come in contact with the lid. Very travel friendly.

                 The consistency of this light blue eye cream is thick creamy and the texture is buttey soft. Even though it looks thick, its light weight and easily gets absorbed into the skin. I just need to apply a few dots around my eyes and pat it until the cream is spread well and absorbed. The eye cream is non-fragrant which is a big advantage as many girls like non-fragrant creams/lotions these days.

THE SWATCH

                  Usually I use this eye cream at nights and in the mornings I find all the puffiness gone plus the skin around the eyes is well moisturised, soft, smooth and bright. It does work on my slight dark circles but I can tell that it will never work on serious dark circles. Also it does nothing for fine lines, not that I have a lot of lines but I think this cream will not be effective against fine lines around the eyes. But it does give that fresh and healthy look to the eyes. At times I use this Eye Cream during the day, concealers blends well with it underneath, shadow goes on well and liner is also not disturbed. This eye cream has remained my favorite since years as it does not make my oily lids oilier. The amount in the swatch pic is enough for more than one use and hence the price is justified.

Pros: -

* Moisturises and brightens the skin around my eyes

*
 Reduces and banishes puffiness

* Works well as eye makeup base

* Does not make my oily lids oilier

* Makes the skin around my eyes soft and smooth

* Makes the eye are look fresh and healthy

* I apply this eye cream at nights only and a jar sees me through 2 1/2 months, hence the price is justified

Cons: -

* Availability is an issue as this product is available only through Oriflame Consultants

* Does nothing for serious dark circles

* Does not do much for fine lines around the eye area

* Contains oodles of parabens

            I rate Oriflame Optimals Seeing is Believing Multi Benefits Eye Cream 4.25 out of 5. I highly recommend this eye cream to beauties with puffiness problem. Try once and you won't regret.

Hope this review helped you in some way. Thank you for reading this review and please do leave behind your experience with Oriflame Eye Creams. Have a great time ahead :)

GARNIER SKIN NATURALS LIGHT EYE ROLL-ON- REVIEW

Caffeine + Pro-Vitamin B5

Anti-puffiness
Anti-dark circles

15 ml for INR 199

Company Says: - Eye puffiness and dark circles can make your eyes look dull and tired. Garnier Light Eye Roll-on is a massaging roll-on that combines caffeine and the draining effect of a massage to reduce puffiness and dark circles and brighten the eye contour.

                               Massage is a technique used by experts to boost natural draining and decongest tired eyes. The formula, enriched with caffeine, known for its stimulating properties on micro-circulation, helps to brighten the skin and boost radiance.

- Fragrance- free -
- Dermatologically tested -
- Ophthalmologically tested -

Proven Efficacy:

  • Immediately cooling effect to decongest puffy eyes.
  • In 14 days, skin looks brighter and more radiant*.
  • In 28 days, eye puffiness and dark circles are reduced**.

** Clinical test, 50 women, 4 weeks.

How do I use Garnier Light Eye Roll-on?

  • Apply Garnier Light Roll-on to the eye contour area (both above and below) in light circular massaging movements. The liquid will be applied automatically via the roller ball. If necessary, smooth in any remaining liquid with your fingertips.
Use immediately after waking up and anytime during the day whenever eyes feel tired or puffy.

The Power of Caffeine*:

An energizing and anti-tiredness ingredient, Caffeine is also well known for its stimulating properties on micro-circulation.

The formula is enriched with pro-vitamin B5 for it's hydrating properties.
* Caffeine contained into Light Eye Roll-on is from synthetic origin.

Ingredients: - Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Aluminum Hydroxide, Biosaccharide Gum-1, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Caffeine, Capryly Glycol, Disodium EDTA, ESCIN, Guanosine, Hydroxyproline, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Laureth-7, Methylparaben, Mica, Panthenol, Polyacrylamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum (F.I.L. B32720/1)

My Opinion: - I have used this product twice before and if I am not wrong, Garnier has fixed the price of this Eye Roll-on at Rs 199 since the last 3 years. Three years back I had used this Eye Roll-on to de-puff my naturally puffy eyes and it had worked very well. So this time when I was sent this product for review by the brand, I was happy to use it once again. The packaging of this product is very innovative just like a marker with a flat roller head at the tip.The pen has a beautiful yellow plastic body with a transparent screw-on lid and the roller is made of steel and hence gives a cool feeling to my eye area while massaging.

              The liquid is colorless and watery. The product spreads easily on my eye area and takes about 3-4 mins to dry up. It gets absorbed within a few minutes and does not sit on my skin. I use it morning and evening after cleansing my face. It does not make any difference to my eye shadows/liner/concealer etc. It is fragrance free and that is a big advantage for an eye product. True to the brand's claim, it instantly cools off the eye area and gives a soothing and refreshing feeling.

                I do not have serious dark circles and my main problem is puffiness. This product has always helped me to ward off puffiness, I never get puffy eyes while using this product but once I leave it immediately the puffiness is back. So I will call it a temporary relief for people with puffy eyes, of course the brand does not claim to provide long lasting effects so I wouldn't complain. Coming to the anti-dark circle claim, I will say it does very less for dark circles and it would absolutely do nothing for people with serious dark circles.

                   With regular use though, it gives a slight brightening effect. It will take atleast 3 months to get used up if I use it twice a day and so Rs 199 is very affordable taking into consideration the prices of eye-care products from other brands. Thumps up to Garnier for maintaining the price at Rs 199. This Eye Roll-on contains Caffeine which is known for its depuffing properties and Pro-vitamin B5/Panthenol which is a humectant, emollient and moisturiser and has good skin penetration.

Pros: -

* Easily Available and affordable

* Great packaging, easy to carry around in my purse

* De-puffs my eyes

* Would stay with me for 3+ months

* Steel Roller gives a soothing and cool massage to my eye area

* Contains Caffeine and Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5)

* The Eye Roll-on is fragrance-free, dermatologically as well as ophthalmologically tested

* Brightens up with regular use

Cons: -

* Does nothing for dark circles

* Contains Methylparaben (though I am not paranoid about parabens, some people are)

                I rate Garnier Light Eye Roll-on 4 out of 5. Its one of the first eye products I had used so I couldn't give any less than 4. Its a great product for people with puffy eyes but it would do nothing for dark circles especially for people with heavy dark circles.

Hope you enjoyed this review, do leave behind your precious comments and share with us your experiences regarding eye-care products.

Thank you and have a great day ahead :)

AVON GLIMMERSTICKS DIAMOND EYE LINER- BLACK ICE & TWILIGHT SPARKLE- SWATCHES, EOTD & REVIEW

Company Says: -
Define eyes with a bold, glamorous

Sparkle pearls adds shine and dimension by catching light for a fun, flirty look

Longwearing, smudge-proof shades glideon smooth and keep the glimmer going with all-day drama…. or night-time glamour!

Ingredients: - Not Listed

Available in 7 shades: -

* Black Ice – Black with silver/holographic sparkles

* Twilight Sparkle – Deep blue with bright blue sparkles

* Smoky Diamond – Dark grey with silver sparkles

* Emerald Glow- Dark/almost blackish green with green & silver sparkles

* Flashy Copper - Golden sparkly brownish copper

* Golden Diamond – Yellowish gold with gold sparkles

* Sparkling Silver - Steel grey with silver sparkles

My Opinion: - Eye pencils add a pop of color to the eyes, giving a very attractive look. These eye pencils pick you up on a bad day. I prefer using these in all possible shades but blacks and blues are an all-time favorite. Today I am reviewing 2 eye liner pencils from Avon, one of my favorite brands. One is Black Ice and the other is Twilight Sparkle. The packaging is a slim black plastic pen look-alike, retractable which makes it travel/purse friendly. I never use these eye liners on my waterline since the sparkles in them might irritate my eyes, I use them only on my upper as well as lower lash lines.

NATURAL LIGHT

                          These eye liner pencils are like dry crayons and are not creamy at all but they glide on the eyelids with much ease. They are perfect for thick lines as well as cat eyes but the rounded tip makes it impossible to create thin lines. The self-sharpening bit is a big lie but that is not a big drawback, since I use the tiny little sharpener from my Lotus Herbals Eye Pencil to get a pointed tip if required. The pigmentation is medium, not bad but not very good either. About 2-3 swipes are necessary for a dark noticeable line, they don’t tug or pull my eyelids and glide on with much ease.  The fact that these eye liner pencils are retractable, saves the pain of sharpening them which avoids the wastage of valuable product.

ARTIFICIAL LIGHT

                           Black Ice is a lighter shade of black with silver as well as holographic sparkles. These sparkles are not OTT or gritty and I use this particular shade for the day as well as night. This shade is not an intense black but sober enough for all the black eye liner-lovers. The second shade is Twilight Sparkle which is a true deep blue, almost tilting towards black, with oodles of bright blue sparkles. These sparkles are a bit on the gritty side but still I wouldn’t call them OTT. They can safely be worn during the day as well but I make it sure never to wear this shade to office. During the night it looks awesome and adds drama to the eyes. Both shades can be worn as eye shadow if smudged well before they get set.

GLITTER/SHIMMER STILL REMAINS AFTER WASHING OFF

                              The lasting power of these both shades is amazing, they stay whole day/night, until I choose to remove them. They don’t even melt after sweating and stay intact without a single smudge or smear but the sparkles travel all over the eyelids. I have very oily lids and I generally use a primer before applying any eye makeup but these eye liners stay put on my lids even without a primer or any other base. Now coming to removing/cleaning off these eye liners, it’s a chore I would say. These needs to be cleaned off with an eye makeup remover, but still the sparkles stay on even after washing off the face with a foaming cleanser. I have tried all types of cleanser but failed to remove all traces of sparkles. I can clearly see sparkles all over my eye-area the next day also :P

Pros: -

* Long-lasting, smudge-proof formula

* Does not tug/pull the eyelids even if they are not creamy

* Sweat-proof & Water-proof

* Retractable slim pen packaging makes it travel/purse friendly

* On discounts, they are a steal (very affordable)

* Self-sharpening avoids wastage

* 7 stunning shades available

Cons: -

 * Difficult to remove/clean off the sparkles

* This range lacks a basic brown shade (I hate them for this)

                I rate these Avon Glimmersticks Diamonds Eye Lines in Black Ice & Twilight Sparkle, 4.75 out of 5. These are my go to eye liner pencils; especially the Black Ice and I love them truly when it comes to the staying power. I miss a proper brown shade in this range (greedy me :P). I recommend these eye liner pencils to all eye makeup lovers.
