Lakme Says: - Salon-Like* Clean-Up Now Everyday At Home!
# Its Vitabeads & natural exfoliants are known to unclog pores to help remove blackheads, dead cells & excess oil for deeply clean, fresh & fair skin.

#Professional Tip: Use the complete 3 STEP Lakme Fresh Fairness CLEAN UP  regularly.

Refers to basic products used in salon clean ups

Your skin is currently shedding cells, which leads to a build-up of dead cell and dull-looking skin. Scrub your face with Lakme Clean-up Fresh Fairness Face Scrub that exfoliates dead cells and removes excess oil. Enriched with Vitabeads, walnut shell powder and apricot extracts, it helps unclog pores, remove blackheads and restore your skin's fairness.(Taken from Lakme Website)

**Vitabeads are composed of Vitamin E,C & B3 to lighten skin tone**

Usage: Wet face. Take a generous amount and gently massage for 2-5 minutes in circular motion with fingertips avoiding the eye contour. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact rinse thoroughly with clear water.

Ingredients: - Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Walnut Shell Powder, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Glycery Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Zea Mays (Corn) Kernel Meal, PEG 100 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Polysorbate-60, Acetylated Lanolin Alcohol, Titanium Dioxide, Perfume, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycerin, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Niacinamide, CI 17200, PPG-2, Methyl Ether, Phenethyl Alcohol, DMDM, Hydantoin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

My Opinion: - After the Face Wash, now comes the scrub. The packaging is same pretty pink tube with opalescent screw-on cap and so I can carry it along while travelling without the risk of spillage or mess. The fragrance is fake floral but mild. I somehow associate it with bleach, I don't know why. The scrub is a thick creamy paste with medium sized granules which are not very abrasive but not very smooth either. The scrub is a milky pink in color and loaded with walnut shell and corn meal particles. This is not the scrub that sensitive skin ladies can use, and if at all you use, use it once a week. I myself being an oily factory don't use it more than once in 5-6 days. This one will be loved by ladies who love their scrub to be a bit on the abrasive side.

                            I squeeze out a big medium sized blob on the back of my palm and apply dots all over my wet face and neck. Then I gently begin to massage with circular motion all over with fingertips giving the least possible pressure. If you apply too much pressure it is harsh on your skin and if you massage gently it will not harm and redden your skin. This scrub is easy to wash off and the skin looks fresh and radiant after I pat it dry. It doesn't give that horrid stretchy after feel some scrubs/washes give. I always make it a point to follow it up with the Fresh Fairness Clean Up Mask.

                        This Scrub removes  excess oil, dead cells and dirt from the surface of the skin, thereby giving a radiant look. This scrub in combination with the mask has removed a bit of the slight tan I have on me now. The only thing I hate about this scrub apart from the scent is the fake temporary fairness it gives to my skin. It is horrible but it goes away after 30-45 mins or so. This scrub does not remove blackheads as claimed by the brand but I can tell you people that no scrub can remove blackheads, specially the stubborn ones.

                       This scrub apart from giving me wanted fake kind of fairness, also makes my skin soft and smooth. Immediately after washing it off, this scrub gives that fresh and clean feel to my skin. But this scrub needs to be used with caution. Use it for not more than 2-3 mins and with the gentlest pressure possible. Or it would give you red, splotchy and irritated skin. Also it is not safe enough to use during breakouts and hence I have stopped using it now since I have ugly pimples sitting on my face now (they are drying :D). There is nothing special about this scrub but overall a not bad either.

Pros: -

* Affordable & Easily Available

* Contains Vitabeads, Apricot Extracts, Walnut Shell Powder, all sounds impressive

* Screw-on packaging makes is travel safe

* Scrub particles are medium sized and not very harsh on the skin

* Has de-tanning capabilities when used in combination with the mask from the same range, which I always do

* Makes my skin soft & smooth

* Gives radiant glow and fresh-clean feel

Cons: -

* Fake floral scent with bleach like smell

* Fake & temporary fairness

* Not suitable for sensitive skin but Lakme claim its suitable for "All skin types"

                    I rate Lakme Fresh Fairness Clean Up Face Scrub 3.75 out of 5 as it needs to be used with caution. A scrub with no
specialty, a bit more pressure or a minute more can give you an irritated skin with red patches. But if you are sure to use it carefully and you are a fan of Walnut scrubs then go ahead and indulge yourself. Or simply find yourself another one as there is no dearth of good scrubs in the market.

# Oil free
# Dermatologist Tested
# Non-Comedogenic
# Hypeallergenic

Professional Tip: Use the complete 3 STEP LAKME  Clear Pores CLEAN-UP regularly to see results.

* Refers to basic products used in salon clean ups.

Your skin is currently shedding cells, which leads to a build-up of dead cells and dull-looking skin. Designed specially for skin prone to breakouts, Lakmé Clean-up Clear Pores Face Scrub is dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic.With the goodness of green tea extracts to soothe your skin, and salicylic acid to prevent breakouts and fight blemishes, this gentle scrub helps get rid of dead cells, unclog pores, and gives you clear, matte skin. (Taken from Lakme Website)

Usage: Wet face. Take a generous amount & gently massage for 2-3 minutes in circular motion with fingertips avoiding the eye contour. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact rinse thoroughly with clear water.

Ingredients: - Aqua, Potasium Laureth Phosphate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Methyl 2-Sulfolaurate, Disodium 2-Sulfolaurate, Hydrated Silica, Polyacrylate-1 Crosspolymer, Glycerin, Hydrolysed Jojoba Ester, Citric Acid, Glycereth-18, Salicylic Acid, Kaolin, Perfume, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract,Epilobium Angustifolia Extract, Olea Europaea Leaf Extract, CI 40290, CI 15985, CI 19140, PPG-2, Methyl Ether, Phenethyl Alcohol, Methylisothiazolinone

Epilobium Angustifolia Extract- has anti-microbial & anti-irritant properties for skin.

Olea Europaea Leaf Extract- is the leaf of Olive. It is a skin conditioning agent and help reduce skin damage.

My Opinion: - The 2nd step to a Salon Clean Up is to use the Clear Pores Clean Up Scrub. I have used this scrub about 5-6 times till now and I can say this is the best product from this range. Now coming to the packaging, its a aqua green tube with opalescent screw-on cap which is very convenient for travelling. No chance of any mess or spillage since the cap shuts tight. The silver font on the tube looks classy and very attractive. The fragrance is sweet but still refreshing, has some fresh green tea extract notes but those are very mild. The scent is quite similar to that of the face wash. This scent will not bother the sensitive noses also as it fades off after application.

                       The scrub is non-gritty and looks like a very light blue-green gel. It is a thick paste with non-abrasive, non-gritty, finely milled scrub particles which I am in love with. I use it every 5 days and it gives me adequate exfoliation sans the redness and irritation. I wet my face, squeeze out a little scrub onto the back of my hand and apply it on dots all over my face and neck. Then I start to gently massage it all over laying special stress around my nose, mouth, forehead and chin. Since my skin has broken out, I try to be extra gentle while working with the scrub. This scrub easily washes off with a few splashes of water and does not leave behind any residue (greasiness/stickiness etc). I usually keep adding a little water at a time since the scrub dries off after a little while like all scrubs do. I keep gently massaging for about 4-5 mins and wash off.

                          This scrub is so gentle on my skin that it does not redden and irritate my skin. It is just a mild exfoliator that gently removes dead cells and excess oil from the skin surface thereby giving a subtle matte glow which lasts for only a day at the max. Just now remember that the texture of the scrub can best be described as a mixture of a gel with fine table salt but here the scrub particles are not visible. My skin is smooth and clear after washing off and it stays that way for a long time, say a day at the most. of course it does mattify my skin and controls oil secretion to some extent. I love this scrub for its gentleness as most scrubs doesn't seem to work for me. I exfoliate every 5 days apart from using a gentle exfoliating face wash daily as I have very oily skin. I have never used this scrub alone, but always in combination with the wash & mask and it gives good results.

Pros: -

* Affordable & Easily Available

* A small blob is enough for a single use, 50 gms will go a long way

* Very mild but effective scrub

* Very gently on my skin, no reddening or irritation

* Makes my skin smooth & soft

* Gives a subtle matte glow

* Gives that clean fresh tingling feel to my skin

Cons: -

* None as such

                    I rate Lakme Clear Pores Clean Up Face Scrub 4.25 out of 5 as it is a very gentle yet very effective scrub. It might not be the best scrub I have used but it is the best product from this particular range. If you want to try any one product from this range, go ahead and try this scrub, you will not regret I promise. But dry skin beauties might not like it at all, so try before you buy or better still skip it. A nice scrub I am enjoying at the moment.

LAKME NOURISHING GLOW CLEAN UP FACE SCRUB- REVIEW

With Strawberry Extracts

50 gms for INR 99

Company Says: - Salon-Like* Clean Up Now Everyday At Home!

# Natural exfoliants known to unclog pores that helps remove blackhead, dead cells & excess oil for deep cleaned and smooth skin
# Professional Tip: Use the complete 3 STEP Lakme Nourishing Glow Clean Up regularly

Usage: Wet face. Take a generous amount & gently massage for 2-3 mins in circular motion with fingertips avoiding the eye contour, Rinse thoroughly with water & pat dry.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact rinse thoroughly with clear water.

* Refers to basic products used in salon clean ups.

Ingredients: -Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Walnut Shell Powder, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Glyceryl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Zea Mays (Corn) Kernel Meal, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Polysorbate 60, Acetylated Lonolin Alcohol, Titanium Dioxide, Perfume, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycerine, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, PPG- 2 Methyl Ether, Phenethyl Alcohol, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone

My Opinion: - The second product I am reviewing from Lakme's  Nourishing Glow Clean Up Range is the Face Scrub. Straight away coming to the packaging of this product, its a red tube with white translucent screw-on cap. This tube is hygienic as well as travel-friendly.

                    The fragrance like the face wash is similar to strawberries and is very mild and sweet. It lingers on while the scrub in on and fades away once washed off. The texture is creamy and the consistency is thick. The scrub particles are gritty but mild and gentle on my skin. This scrub is not harsh and hence does not redden my skin. The walnut particles are not fine but big either, they are somewhere in between.

                    I use it alone or in tandem with the face wash and face mask. Depends on my mood and requirement. Both ways it works well for me and cleans off the excess oil from my skin. Girls with oily sensitive skin will love this scrub but the ones who loves a fair bit of abrasion should stay away from this scrub.

                    This scrub lifts off the excess oil from the skin and gives it a radiant glow which is temporary. My skin feels soft and smooth after each usage. Over all an average product which is easy on the pocket and belongs to one of the most trusted brands, Lakme. Nothing unique about this product, just another scrub nothing else.

Pros:-

* Affordable and easily available

* Absorbs excess oil from the skin surface

* Scrub (walnut) particles are gritty but gentle on my skin, I like mild exfoliation and not heavy abrasion

* Gives a temporary glow to the skin

* Contains extracts of corn, walnut, strawberry and apricot, all good for skin

* I personally stay away from Apricot scrubs but this one is very gentle on my skin

Cons: -

* All effects are temporary

* Contains SLS

                I rate Lakme
Nourishing Glow Clean Up  Face Scrub 4 out of 5. Just another scrub, try it if you love scrubs, have oily skin and prefer mild exfoliation. At Rs 99 you have nothing much to lose.

Hope this review helped you in some way and do leave behind your sweet comments and also share with us your experience of Apricot Scrubs. Thank you and have a great day :)

Garnier Skin Naturals Philosophy:

* Products have been dermatologically tested to ensure respect to your skin.

Ingredients: - Water, Kaolin, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Corn Starch, CI 77891, Decyl Glucoside, Polyethylene, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Benzyl Salicyclate, CI 42090, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Limonene, Linalool, Menthol, Phenoxyethanol, Propylene Glycol, Pumice, Salicyclic Acid, Smithsonite Extract, sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Zinc Gluconate, Fragrance. (F.I.L. B43449/1)

My Opinion: - The product that I am going to review today is Garnier Light 3 in 1 Facial Fairness. I like this kind of multi-tasking beauty products as I am always on the go and its easier to carry 1 product rather than than carrying a face wash, a scrub and a mask. I love the tube packaging as its positively travel-friendly. This fairness facial comes in a white and yellow plastic tube with a white plastic screw-on cap, very hygienic.

                        The fragrance of this fairness facial is a mixture of clay and cucumber with a touch of Eucalyptus oil (if that makes sense), nothing very strong or undesirable. The texture is dry-creamy and the consistency is thick. Its non-gritty and very gentle on my skin. It does not lather at all though it contains SLS. I like to use it as scrub and mask but not as face wash. This cleanser is a white thick cream with bright blue micro particles which are not gritty or harsh on my skin.

               I wet my face and massage a little on my skin and it scrubs away all dullness and dead cells, this I do 3 times a week. It leaves my skin radiant and much brighter. Once a week I use it as a mask all over my face and neck. The advantage of this mask is that it dries within a few minutes, great for winters :P It washes off easily and leave behind a soft glowing skin. But I am not comfortable using this cleanser as a face wash, I have used it for a week as a face wash but it didn't work for me. Firstly, it didn't lather even a bit, secondly it leaves behind some residue and doesn't give me squeaky clean skin.

                    One big advantage of this product is that its multi-tasking, it works as face wash, scrub and mask. And therefore, it is very convenient to carry one tube instead of multiple tubes while travelling. It controls the greasy-ness and shine of my skin to some extent. It didn't break me out or irritated my skin in any way. A must have product for all skin types including sensitive skin as this product is very mild and gentle.

Pros: -

* Affordable and Easily Available

* Multi-Tasking cleansing product

* When used as mask, it dries off within minutes

* When used as scrub, its mild and gentle on my skin

* As mask and as scrub, works great for me, does not make my skin red

* Travel-friendly

Cons: -

* When used as wash, it leaves behind some residue

* Does not give that squeaky clean feel when used as wash

                   I rate Garnier Light 3 in 1 Facial Fairness 4 out of 5. I am liking it as scrub and mask but not as wash. I recommend this cleanser to all skin care freaks and I suppose this product will work for all skin types.

Hope you were benefited by this review, do leave behind your lovely comments and share with us your experience with multi-tasking products. Thank you and have a great Sunday :)
