Ingredients: - Aqua, Kaolin, Glycerine, Bentonite, PEG-400, Titanium Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Disodium Laureth Sulphosuccinate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Niacinamide, Dimethiconol, TEA Dodecyl Benzenesulfonate, Xanthan Gum, Perfume, Allantoin, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Propylene Glycol, CI 17200, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Methylisothiazolinone, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, DMDM, Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butyl Carbamate.

Face Mask Contains Iodine.

My Opinion: - Following yesterday's Lakme Fresh Fairness Face Wash & Scrub, today I will wrap up the Fresh Fairness Clean Up Regime with the last product in the line up- the Face Mask. The packaging is a pretty pink tube with opalescent screw-on cap which is very safe to travel with. I have used and carried along this mask with me many a times. It is a not so thick very pale pink creamy mask which is very soft and buttery in texture. To me it looks like a mixture of cream and lotion, does not feel like a clay mask as it is so light.

                       Coming to the fragrance part, I have hated the the scent this range carries. Its kind of artificial floral with that bleach kind of smell, for me its unpleasant but not unbearable. This mask is easy to apply and I usually apply it with fingers and it applies evenly without effort. It takes time to dry, atleast 12-15 mins. I use this mask after I use the Fresh Fairness Scrub and this gives me soft and smooth skin after washing off. This mask washes of easily and a little rubbing is enough to clean it off completely. It leaves a kind of oily/silky film over the surface of the skin which evaporates after I pat my skin dry.

                         This Fresh Fairness Mask in combination with the scrub has de-tanning properties, it has taken off a slight tan from my skin which makes me love this mask. This mask thankfully does not whitens my skin but brightens and and gives a radiant after glow. But of-course all the effects are temporary and too short lived for my or anyone's liking. This mask is not that kind of oil controlling mask but upon washing off and patting dry my skin is oil free for quite some time and it also does not make my skin greasy or shiny. But as claimed by the brand, I did not see any pore tightening, this is false.

Pros: -

* Affordable & Easily Available

* De-tans in combination with the scrub

* Makes my skin bright & not white

* Gives me soft, smooth & radiant skin

* Easy to apply & Easy to wash off

* Suitable for all skin types specially in summer

Cons: -

* Same Artificial floral scent with bleach smell :/

* Takes time to dry

* Contains Parabens

                      I rate Lakme Fresh Fairness Clean Up Face Mask 4 out of 5. This is the best product in this range and therefore I give it a 4. Now I am not using it as I have pimples on my face and using the Clear Pores Clean Up Range. Inspite of the cons, specially the unpleasant scent I give it 4 as it has de-tanning properties as claimed by the brand. And also this mask like the wash & scrub did not give that much hated fake white look to the skin. This mask will truly suit all skin types in summers.

LAKME CLEAR PORES CLEAN UP FACE MASK- REVIEW

With Green Tea Extracts

50g for INR 110

Lakme Says: - Get a Salon-Like* Clean-Up
# Easy rinse-off clay based mask absorbs excess oil & helps tighten pores for clear & matte skin
# Helps prevent breakouts & contains green tea extracts known to calm your skin

Professional Tip: Use the complete 3 STEP LAKME Clear Pores CLEAN-UP regularly to see results

* Refers to basic products used in salon clean ups.

Get that clear, matte skin with Lakme Clean-up Clear Pores Face Mask that comes with the absorbing power of clay. It helps remove excess oil and tighten pores. While green tea extracts are known to soothe your skin, salicylic acid prevents breakouts and fights blemishes. (Taken from Lakme Website)

Usage: Wet face. Apply the mask evenly on your face & neck & allow it to dry. Rinse off with water and pat dry.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact rinse thoroughly with clear water.

Ingredients: - Aqua, Kaolin, Bentonite, glycerin, PEG 400, Titanium Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Disodium Laureth Sulphosuccinate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Niacinamide, Dimethiconol, TEA DodecylBenzenesulfonate, Perfume, Xanthan Gum, Allantoin, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Salicylic Acid, Disodium EDTA, CI 40290, CI 15985, CI 19140, Pheoxyethanol, DMDM, Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butyl Carbamate, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Methylisothiazolinone

Face Mask contains Iodine.

My Opinion: - This is the 3rd and last step of Lakme Clear Pores Clean-Up Skin Care Regime. Coming to the packing its a aqua green tube with opalescent screw-on cap which is safe for travelling. I always follow the Lakme Clear Pores Clean Up Face Scrub with the Clear Pores Mask. I have therefore used it 5-6 times in accordance with the other 2 products (face wash & face scrub). The fragrance is similar to the other to products, refreshing green tea extract/oil but this one is not too mild but fades off within minutes of application.

                          The mask is a very thick paste, smooth and creamy but it is a little difficult to spread. It takes a little time and effort to evenly apply this mask on my face and neck. As claimed by the brand it does not dry in 5-7 mins but it takes a good 15 mins to dry off completely. I apply it after using the scrub on my wet face, that way it is much easier to spread the mask. Also I have noticed that if it is applied in a thin layer as suggested by Lakme it dries faster but if a thicker layer is applied, then it takes much longer than the said time (5-7 mins).

MILKY BLUE THICK PASTE

                              This mask is also difficult to wash off, I tried wetting my face and then gently massaging to remove the mask, it helped to some extent but wetting my face with a facecloth and then taking it off is the best way I could up with. That way its not time consuming and comes off easily. It leaves my skin soft and smooth. Mattifies my skin and absorbs the excess the oil like all clay masks do plus it diminishes my pores for quite some times. The result last for a day at the max. This mask didn't do anything for my acne- neither good nor bad. Just another clay mask with Green Tea Extracts and Salicylic Acid. The ingredient list says that it contains oodles of Parabens which the other 2 products from this range does not contain.

AFTER SPREADING

Pros: -

* Affordable & Easily Available

* Controls Excess Oil and mattifies the skin

* Makes skin soft & smooth

* Contains Salicylic Acid & Green Tea Extracts, both great for oily skin

* Gentle on my acne, didn't irritate them

Cons: -

* Contains Parabens

* Result is temporary

* Takes time to dry (all clay masks do)

* Difficult to remove

                       I rate Lakme Clear Pores Clean Up Face Mask 3.75 out of 5. It is just another clay mask but here it is induced with Green Tea & Salicylic Acid. Takes time to apply and difficult to apply, I couldn't give it a higher rating. Dry skin girlies stay out and normal skin ladies use a moisturiser immediately as this Clear Pores Regime can be a little drying.

LAKME NOURISHING GLOW CLEAN UP FACE MASK- REVIEW

With Strawberry Extracts

50 gm for INR 99

Company Says: - Easy rinse off mask, contains clay known to absorb excess oil & helps in skin tightening leaving your skin soft & glowing.

Professional Tip: Use the complete 3 step Lakme Nourishing Glow Clean Up regularly.

Usage: Wet face. Applythe mask evenly on your face & neck & allow it to dry. Rinse off with water and pat dry.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact rinse thoroughly with clear water.

Ingredients: - Aqua, Kaolin,Glycerin, Bentonite, PEG-400, Titanium Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Disodium Laureth Sulphosuccinate, Cetstearyl Alcohol, Niacinamide, Dimethiconol, TEA Dodecyl Benzenesulfonate, Xanthan Gum, Perfume, Alantoin, Sodium Ascorbyl PhosPhate, Disodium EDTA, Propylene Glycol, Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, CI 17200, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Methylisothiazolinone, Butyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodoproynyl Butyl Carbamate

My Opinion: - Lakme launched a new/revamped 3 step skin care range in red tubes, Lakme Clean Up Nourishing Glow Range. I bought the scrub and mask along with other Lakme Stuff. I was given the face wash from this range for free so I have all 3 newly launched products. Today I shall be reviewing the face mask from this range. My skin is oily and its getting oilier by the day, so oil control/absorbing face packs are a boon for me. The packaging of this face mask or the entire range is very attractive, red tube with white translucent screw-on cap. This makes it hygienic as well as travel friendly.

                    The fragrance is sweet and mild, reminds me of Strawberries. But the fragrance is gone in a couple of minutes after application. Also you wouldn't find hints of it once the mask is washed off. The consistency is very thick heavy and the texture is creamy and smooth. It is very easy to apply on the skin (face & neck) but I need to spread it quickly on my skin or it thickens even more and looks like it has dried on my fingertips. I also use a brush to apply the mask on my face and it works much better for me that way.

                   There is no details in the tube regarding at what intervals the face mask should be used and also about how long it has to be kept. Anyways, I use this face mask twice a week nowadays and I am using this since mid March I suppose. The tube is nearly empty and I think I will be able to use the leftover mask just one last time. I think this mask will last most girls nearly 10 applications, 12 at the most. For Rs 99 its good enough.

                 This mask truly absorbs oil from the skin and gives an immediate glow and softness. Works good as a pre-party mask as it does not take long to dry and the results are good. Used in tandem with the other 2 products, step 1- Face Wash & step 2- Face Scrub, it works much better. So I use the wash, scrub and then the mask and my skin is oil free for long. This mask is a good product by Lakme but the only problem is that it is difficult to wash it off. So I use a wet face cloth to clean off the dried mask and then splash water to clean off in a jiffy.

Pros: -

* Affordable and Easily Available

* Dries off quickly

* Gives a temporary glow after usage

* Control/absorbs oil to quite an extent

* When used in tandem with the wash & scrub, it works much better

Cons: -

* Difficult to wash off with water, needs a wet face cloth to clean it off before washing

             I rate this Lakme Clean Up Nourishing Glow Face Mask 4.25 out of 5.
This mask is the best among the Nourishing Glow Clean Up range. I recommend this Face Mask to oilies like me. Its affordable and effective to quite an extent, so girlies go out and grab one :D

HIMALAYA HERBALS PURIFYING NEEM PACK- REVIEW

Normal to Oily Skin
Deep cleanses & purifies for clear, problem-free skin

Company Says: - A purifying pack that helps to regulate excess oil secretion, cleans clogged pores and prevents the recurrence of pimples. Neem, well-known for its purifying and anti bacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples and their recurrence. Combined with Turmeric, it helps remove acne-causing bacteria. Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) cools and soothes the skin, improving skin texture and leaving you with clear, problem-free skin.

Key Ingredients: - Fuller’s Earth, Neem, Turmeric

Directions: - Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove with a wet sponge and wash with cool water. Use once or twice a week. Do not apply on broken or inflamed skin

May cause tingling sensation due to herbal active ingredients, which is normal.

Ingredients: - Each gm contains: Ext. Haridra (Curcuma Longa)* 20 mg.
Pdrs. Nimba (Azadirachta Indica)* 100 mg, Panka# 40 mg.
Ref.: * API  # Bhava Prakasha

Inactives: - Sodium Methylparaben IP, Sodium Propylparaben IP, Imidazolidinyl Urea, DMDM Hydantoin.

Natural herbal formulations tend to change color over time. However, the product efficacy remains unchanged.

My Opinion: - Two products that I have been using from Himalaya since many years now, Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash and Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack. I always keep backups of these two products just because my skin is oily and pimple-prone. If I do not have pimples than I don’t bother to use the face wash but I use the pack once in 10 days even if my skin doesn’t break out. During the winters my skin becomes combination and behaves well and that’s when I put this face pack to rest. Coming to the review now, this face pack comes in white plastic tube with green patterns and writings. It has a dark green flip-open lid which makes it travel friendly and hygienic as well.

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS UNDER FLASH

This face pack is of muddy green grainy textured, and the fragrance is very herbal with multani mitti and neem scent in it. I shake it a little before taking a small blob to spread on my face, then I take another blob and another one till my face is completely covered with this pack. I don’t apply a very thick layer and moderate layer does the work for me. It is easy to spread the pack with fingertips rather than a face pack brush. It takes around 15 mins to dry off completely in summers and 20-25 mins in cool weather. When it dries I splash some water on my face and scrub a bit before washing off. I know this can get messy but it’s worth the effort.

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS IN NATURAL LIGHT

             When I use it during break outs, this pack helps to control the pimples and dry them out. I apply atleat once a week during my break outs otherwise I restrict using it to once in 10-12 days. For the first few uses a tingling sensation was felt on my skin but later on my skin got used to it. It is a face pack cum scrub for me, though Himalaya Herbals does not mention this. This pack is available in 2 different sizes and I always go for the small 50 gms tube as it is convenient to carry along while travelling. This face pack has the ability to make my skin clean and clear after every use. Inspite of all the goods, this face pack has 2 disadvantages- 1. It contains Parabens & 2. You might not know when it would get over as the tube is extremely opaque so when you feel the tube is getting lighter, then purchase a new tube or else you might be left with pack on one side of your face :P

AFTER SPREADING

Pros: -

* Controls & Dries out my pimples

* Affordable (Cheap) & easily Available

* Face pack plus works as a mild scrub for me

* Gentle on my skin, suits it as well

* Gives a fresh clean look to my face with regular use

Cons: -

* Contains Parabens

* Tube is opaque and you might not know when it is getting finished off

             I rate Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack 5 out of 5 inspite of the 2 cons. I shall continue using this face pack until I come across a better one. Highly recommended to girls with oily-acne prone skin. Dry skin & sensitive skin girls please stay away from this face pack. I would wrap up by thanking Himalaya Herbals for this baby :D

Hope you enjoyed my review, do leave behind your precious comments and share with us experiences with Face Packs. Thank you and have a great day
