A little about the ingredients-

Vitis Vinifera: is our common grapes and its skin extract, leaf extract and the fruit extract is used for their varied properties in cosmetics. It is mainly used for its skin conditioning and antioxidant properties.

Saxifraga Sarmentosa: is an extract of the herb Strawberry Begonia. It is highly known for its skin conditioning and astringent properties.

Morus Bombycis: is an extract found in mulberries which is often used in cosmetics due to the presence of Arbutin. It controls the production of Melanin thereby naturally lightening the skin. It is also high in antioxidants and has anti-aging properties.

Scutellaria Baicalensis: also known as Baikal Scullcap is a genus of flowering plants of the mint family. Its root is used for medicinal purposes. It is a antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory agent.

Glycyrrhiza Glabra: popularly known as Liquorice is used for its moisturising, emollient, smoothing & soothing properties.

Chondrus Crispus Extract: also known as Irish Moss or Carrageen Moss is an moisturising agent used in creams, mask ,wrappings, shampoos and emulsions.

My Opinion :- After 8 months of reviewing a Garnier Night Cream I never came to reviewing another one here on BDI, not because I repurchased the Garnier one but because I used Aloe Vera Gel & a wonderful Aloe Vera overnight mask all through the summers. Today I am putting forward my views on my latest favorite night cream, Oriflame Optimals White Night Cream. The night cream comes in a glass jar with a silver grey screw-on lid. Also upon opening the main lid you would find a silver foil protector to keep the cream from becoming messy. The packaging is not hygienic as I have to dip my nails in the tub but it is travel-friendly.

                       The fragrance is sweet floral like the other Optimal White Range of products. Most people will like it. The cream is soft creamy and glides on the skin like butter. The consistency of this white night cream is between a gel and a lotion. But it takes time to get absorbed into the skin even after massaging it for a while. The cream just sits there on top of my skin for say 5 mins and thereafter the skin drinks it up. The night cream is not greasy and does not makes my skin oilier, it also is not on the heavier side though it hydrates and moisturises my oily skin well enough.

                         As you can see from the pics that I have already made more than half way through with this night cream, I must tell you that I like it a lot. I apply it religiously every night after cleansing & toning and gently massage it onto my skin. In the morning my skin is bright and radiant but not at all oily, it also feels soft and supple. The night haven't broken me out and does clog pores, that's the best part. The price is on the higher side but you can wait till the sales and get a good discount. Overall a good night cream for oily skin though Oriflame calls it a product for "all types of skin".

                     I rate Oriflame Optimals White Night Cream 4.5 out of 5. It is best suited for oily and combination skin as it is a light weight water based night cream. I love it and plan to repurchase it as soon as I finish it off. Highly recommended for oilies like me who love to flaunt fresh and bright skin.

My Opinion: - After not much satisfaction with the Garnier Light Daily Moisturiser, I am here with the review of Garnier Light Overnight Peeling Fairness Night Cream. The packaging is similar to that of the day cream, outer carton is blue and white while the cream is contained in a pretty yellow plastic jar with a white plastic screw-on lid. There is no stopper or protection lid inside to avoid contact of cream and lid, hence it is not travel friendly. 

                      The fragrance is very mild, lemony-minty which disappears after a couple of minutes after application. The texture is soft buttery but non-greasy and the consistency of this night cream is that of a light-weight cream. I use it on my cleansed face every night (since last 1 month) and its easy to spread on my skin. It gets absorbed into my skin within say 5 mins without leaving any greasiness.

             

                  In the morning I wake up with radiant and well moisturised skin. My skin looks plump and healthy, but then the night cream vanishes somewhere during the night as I do not see any trace of the cream on my skin. Since I have oily skin, I am enjoying the light weight formula. This night cream is very affordable and easily available. It makes my skin look white immediately after application. I would not expect this night cream to fade spots but definitely it peels off the dullness of my oily skin. 

                  This night cream is mild and light-weight and hence it did not break out my skin or irritated the skin. Though the 'suitable skin type' is not mentioned anywhere in this product, I would request dry and normal skin beauties to stay away. I don't think I will be able to use it in the peak of summers but for now I am liking it a lot. Also very little product is required for each use so it will last me another 25 days I guess.

Pros: -

* Easily Available & Affordable

* Didn't break me out, am using it since 1+ month now

* A little product goes a long way, half of the cream is still left in the jar and I would be able to finish it off in another 1 months time I suppose

* Gives a healthy glow to my skin in the morning

* Skin looks fresh and radiant

* Does not make my already oily skin any more greasy

* Mild lemon fragrance, goes away after application

Cons: -

* Garnier does not mention anywhere in the pack as to which skin type it will suit

* It whitens my face but that's temporary




                  I rate this Garnier Light Overnight Peeling Fairness Night Cream 4 out of 5. I would recommend this night cream for combination and oily skin types. Its a okayish night cream that gives adequate moisture to my oily skin and truly peels off the dullness giving my skin a radiant glow.

My Opinion: - As the hot days approached, the Himalaya Night Cream seemed to become a little greasy or maybe I wanted to try out Lakme’s Perfect Radiance Night Repair Crème :P :D I am using this night cream for weeks now and I think it’s the perfect time to review it today. The cream from Lakme comes in a white box, and on opening the box another flap can be found, and only on lifting the second flap,  the tub of cream can be seen. The shiny silver plastic jar looks very classy, actually the packaging looks like a high end brand cream. The fragrance is mild, sweet and floral, which most girls will like, I personally love it.

BOX IS MUCH BIGGER THAN THE TUB

                               At night I cleanse my face and apply it in dots all over my face and neck. Then gently I massage it into my skin. This cream gets absorbed into my skin within few seconds, I don’t have to work on it. This cream is extremely light weight and suits my oily skin to the T. it gives my skin adequate moisture but does not leave it greasy and shiny. Not even the T zone is oily/shiny. This cream is not heavy but it’s somewhere in between a gel and a lotion. It helped fade few of my fresh acne marks and this fact makes me love this cream.

                                       This cream made a difference in my skin like no other night cream did. It made the tan on my face fade off, controls oiliness, gives a radiant glow to my skin every morning and evens out my complexion. But since I have been using this only for a couple of weeks, I didn’t see any difference in the 2 dark spots on my cheek (both are quite tiny). Or maybe this cream worked on 5 instead of all the 6 blocks for me. But still it has made me happy enough with its true claims. This night cream didn’t break me out or it never irritated my skin. Finally I have found my HG Night Cream for the summers :D

Pros: -

* Affordable at Rs 299 for 50 gm, very little is needed for each application hence this cream will take a long time to get over

* Controls oiliness, gives a radiant glow every morning

* Skin absorbs it within seconds; don’t need to work on it

* My fresh acne marks are gone after I started to use this cream

* All claims made by the brand are true

* Never broke me out or irritated my skin

Cons: -

* Dark spot on my cheeks stays the way they were

* Fairness claim is a big question mark, but it brightens my skin and give a glow every morning 

* Contains Parabens
 
* Not hygienic as I have to dip my fingers in the jar every time I use the cream 

                           I rate this Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Night Repair Crème 4.75 out of 5 inspite of the 3 cons. I recommend this night cream to all the girls with oily/combination skin. I plan to use the day cream from this range but waiting for my present day creams to get over. So I have found my HG night cream after minimal experiment and I am very happy for this.

My Opinion: - I have been experimenting with different night creams since the day I came to know about its benefits. At one point of time I was not even applying my regular moisturiser on my face at night, most girls use day cream/lotion during night also. Since night creams have become an integral part of my night time beauty regime, I am using Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream right now. In short if I have to write this review , then I am happy to say that I have found my HG night cream for the winter months. Though I am yet to find out how this night cream fares in the hot weather. Now coming to the packaging, it’s a big disappointment with the box it comes in. This little carton has a false bottom and so has the white plastic tub which carries the cream. If not checked properly, a person may think that this box/tub contains a large amount of product. Very deceiving on the packaging front I would say. The tub has a protective shield, a foil, to prevent the cream from getting onto the green plastic lid.

                        The fragrance of this cream is very mild floral, nothing very special and I  think girls with sensitive noses will not have any issues with the fragrance. Its utterly light in texture and its more of a gel-lotion type consistency. This is one night cream, which is so light but still effective, I suppose it will suit oily skin very well. Just a small blob is enough for the entire face and neck, and if you somehow apply a little excess of this cream, it sits on your skin just like a mask. But applied in the required amount, this cream penetrates the skin I feel. I don’t have to keep massaging or rubbing the cream on my skin as it absorbs quite quickly.

                        This night cream contains Natural AHAs, which are extremely beneficial for the skin. Also the rest of the ingredient list is impressive except the inactive ingredients (Parabens), never expected this from Himalaya Herbals. Regular use for 3-4 months has given me radiant skin, every morning I wake up with bright, moisturised and soft skin. I can barely say about the regeneration and repair claim but I can vouch for the rest of the claims made by the company. This cream did not break me out and also it did not make by T-zone oilier. It just about balanced the skin well for the cold days, you all know how cold it gets in Del/Ggn. This cream has made me happy with its performance,  inspite of being so cheap. I used 2 tubs of this night cream during the winters and I am yet to finish of the 2^nd tub as you can see in the pics.

  Pros: -

·         Extremely affordable

·         Very light and yet highly moisturising

·         Quick absorbing

·         One 25 gm tub goes on for 2 months atleast

·         Impressive ingredients list including natural AHAs

Suits my skin very well during the winter and I am yet to finish off the 2^nd tub I bought, still using it in this weather (nearly summer) and it’s working great on my skin

·         Didn’t break me out and gave me brighter skin every morning

Cons: -

·         Himalaya HERBALS  is not expected to use Parabens in their products

·         Deceiving packaging

                                 I rate this Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream 4.25 out of 5 (-0.75 for false bottom packaging as well as parabens). This is a very good cream for oily skin but I have doubts regarding its performance on dry skin. It’s a must try product from Himalaya Herbals. Though I love Himalaya products very much, still I will not expect them to use Parabens as they claim to be a Herbal company.
