L'OREAL PARIS KAJAL MAGIQUE- SWATCHES & REVIEW

0.35 g for INR 245

L'oreal Paris Says: - Get over ordinary kajals, L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique – the queen of kajals has arrived. Step into the spotlight and let your eyes do the talking.

** Supreme black - A new generation formula! Powered with mineral pigments for deep intense colour.

** Extraordinary Care - Kajal Magique is formulated with care ingredients and gives a soothing feeling. Enriched with Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil Esters and Vitamin C Derivative.

** Smudge-Proof for up to 12H

** Non Transfer

** Waterproof

Ingredients: - Not Listed

My Opinion: - Kajals are a staple in my vanity, I need many kajals, all for different purposes. Some I like for lining my lid, some for the waterline, some for smokey eyes etc etc. I love kajals and I keep on purchasing new ones every now and than. The kajal in question today is Loreal Paris Kajal Magique, a recent launch from Loreal Paris. I used it for a month straight and it now its over. So here I am with the review. The packaging is hot pink and black, sleek and girly, I would rather call it stylish. The plastic slim pencil is black with a hot pink band on its cap and pink fonts on its body. The kajal pencil is retractable so no product is wasted while sharpening and the cap shuts tightly so its travel friendly :)

                        The tip is soft and the formula is creamy, glides on my eyelids without the "tugging & pulling". As claimed by the brand as "Supreme Black", its actually not very well pigmented and also its sets in to a matte powdery finish. I need 2 swipes on my lids and at least 3 swipes on my waterline for intense black rimmed eyes. I refrain from applying pressure on the tip while swiping it on my skin because its quite soft and the tip might break. The pigmentation is not good enough, its not intense black and I wouldn't be able to call it the blackest black. It is more of a smokey dull black, so I love to do smokey eyes with this one.

                         Now coming to this kajal's staying power, it lasts on my upper (oily) lid for a good 7 hours with minimum smudges at the outer corners. On my waterline, this kajal stays for 4 hours and starts to wear off and gets trapped on my lower lash line. Since my lids are oily, the kajal disappoints me when it sticks to my crease. Also another disappointment is that it gets accumulated on the inner corners of my eyes like cheap kajals. The kajal pencil's tip does not give thin precise line after 2-3 uses, it becomes blunt and the lines are thicker. It does not wash off with a regular face wash, a creamy cleanser or plain old Almond oil does clean it off properly. You can as well use an eye makeup remover if you want to.

Pros:

* Affordable  and Easily Available

* Retractable so no product wastage

* Travel friendly as the cap shuts tight

* Waterproof

* Comes with the goodness of Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Vitamins C & E

* Stays on upper lid for 7 long hours

Cons:

* 12H smudge-proof is a very tall claim but its false

* It is not supreme black as suggested by the brand, atleast 3 swipes are required to get a dark black line on the waterline

* Complete ingredient list is not given, though a few are made known

* The tip becomes blunt and does not give thin precise lines

* Its a matte kajal and sets in to a powdery look (might be a pro for many)

                       I rate Loreal Paris Kajal Magique 4.25 out of 5, as it does not perform any better on me than Lakme Eyeconic Kajal and Maybelline Colossal Kajal. I like glossy and very black kajals and this one is a dull black. Girls go and grab it if you don't expect so much from a mere kajal like I do. For the upper lid staying power and aiding smokey look, yes I like it a lot.

LAKME EYECONIC KAJAL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

ENTER BEAUTYDIVA INDIAS'S 2nd BLOG ANNIVERSARY HERE

0.35 gms for INR 199

Company Says: - The new Eyeconic Kajal by Lakmé is literally iconic as all you need is one sweep of kajal and it lasts for 10 hours. The product is waterproof, it doesn’t smudge and it is even safe for the eyes since it is dermatologist tested.
10 hours     No Smudge      Waterproof        Dermatologically Tested

Ingredients: - Not listed

My Opinion: - For me kajal is a must, I have been applying kajal on my eyes since I was hardly 15. I still do till this day. Kajal adds definition and depth to the eyes. I apply kajal on my waterline as well as I line the upper lid with it. Today I am reviewing this newly launched Lakme Eyeconic Kajal as I have used it for more than 10 days and I am happy with its performance. The packaging is sleek and it looks like a black plastic pen with a similar cap which clicks shut tight. It can be thrown into the purse without worry. And since it’s very slim and trendy, I don’t mind carrying it around with me in my purse for touch ups.

              This kajal is not very creamy and intense black as well. A couple of swipes are required to build up the intensity. But it glides on my lids without pulling or tugging. The Eyeconic kajal is matte and has no glossy effect to it. I use it as suggested by the company and truly it does not smudge on my oily lids. I have to swipe atleast twice on my lids and 3-4 times on my waterline for an intense black line. In an air-conditioned environment, it stays put for about 5 hours on my waterline and 8 hours max on my lids after which it starts to fade off a little. But in non air-conditioned environment, it fades and smudges a little on my waterline after 3 hours and simply fades off on my lids after 6 ½-7 hours. The 10 hour claim is not true.

                    The company rightly says that this kajal is smudge proof and after it sets in (after 2 mins), it cannot be smudged. But touching the eyelids with fingers can ruin and smudge the line. I have not done any eye makeup look with this kajal and I have been using it on my naked lids (powdered) and I am quite happy with the results. Since Lakme says that this kajal has been dermatologically tested so it feels safe to use it daily and with lens too (yes I am a chashmish :D). one big drawback is that the ingredients are not listed on the pack. And I don’t know what’s this fuss is all about using the Bi-phased Makeup Remover. Plain almond oil works well to remove all the traces of this kajal from my eyes. But simply washing off with water won’t help as it is truly waterproof and face washes also don’t help much.

SWIPED ONCE

Pros: -

* Claims made by the company are true- its smudge proof, its waterproof and it’s dermatologically tested.

* Affordable at Rs 199

* Available at all Lakme counters and cosmetic shops

* Packaging is slim and it looks like a pen

* Should fit into most purses, though touch-ups are not necessary

* Thanks to Lakme for the easy instructions on the back of the pack

* Glides on my lids without tugging and pulling

* Stays on for long hours

Cons: -

*10 hours claim is not true

* Ingredient list is missing

* This kajal is not intense black and its matte too; some girls/ladies might not like this

           I rate this Lakme Eyeconic Kajal 4.5 out of 5. Girls/ladies I strongly recommend this Kajal to each one of you, it’s a must try product which is very affordable and also it works so well. Kajal lovers go ahead and grab this baby right now. Another good kajal from Lakme once again :D

LAKME BLACK SATIN KAJAL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

1 stick for INR 150

Lakme Says:- Jet black kajal for the blackest black delivery in just one stroke. Draw a sharp, intense line or smudge for a smoky finish. The easy-to-use pencil glides on super soft and smooth, with a glossy finish only satin can provide! Create bold and beautiful eyes with this water resistant formula that keeps color and shine in place without spreading.

Ingredients:- Not Listed

My Opinion:- I am in love with kajals, therefore I keep on experimenting with various brands. This is one product I can't live without. On a regular basis I apply a tinted moisturiser, compact, kajal and tinted lip balm and I am good to go. Applying kajal is also a habit now. This time I will give my views on my long forgotten Lakme Satin Black Kajal, which claims to be waterproof, smudge proof.

                       The best part about Lakme Satin Black Kajal is its pretty packaging, I love the golden floral-vine-y design over the black background. The kajal is a very intense black which all kajal users can die for. It is very creamy as well and hence glides on very smoothly. It doesn't tug or pull the eyelid and gives a clean and controlled line on the upper lid as well as on the lower lid. I have sensitive eyes so I am a bit skeptical in using any new kajal on my waterline but when I tried this kajal on, I was happy with the results. But one problem I faced with this kajal was it smudged on my skin like any regular kajal. No matter how much effort I made to keep my eye area oil-free, it still smudged :(

                       Well some of my fellow bloggers were so happy that this kajal didn't smudged on them and stayed in place all day long. But this was not the case with me. My experience with its staying power was also not good enough as the kajal slid from my waterline to my lower lid in an hour or so. On the upper lid also it never stayed for not more than 2 hours with smudging. Also it got collected at the inner corners of my eyes, that's so embarrassing :( But of course it stayed a little longer on primed lids but not a vast difference in the staying power and smudging.

Pros:

* Affordable and Easily Affordable

* Very intense black

* Packaging is damn pretty, black & gold designs

* No camphor/any kind of strong smell

Cons:

* Smudges on me, maybe because I have oily skin/lids

* Staying power not satisfactory taking into consideration the big claims made by the company.

                     I rate Lakme Satin Black Kajal 3.75 out of 5. No I will never repurchase it, it has been sitting unattended since more than 6-7 months now. It's an average Lakme product, not so good but not bad either. This is my personal opinion, so please read other reviews before deciding on this Kajal.

BIOTIQUE ALMOND KAJAL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

Biotique Almond Kaajal- Swatches & Review

3 gms for INR 100 (approx)

Company Says:- This natural blend prepared in traditional Ayurvedic method improves your vision and promotes the growth of eye lashes. Made from natural extracts. You can apply this Kaajal everyday to add sparkle to your eyes. Pure Sesame Oil, Sweet Almond Oil along with extracts of Eclipta Alba and Indian Gooseberry nourish the eye area.

Ingredients:-
Almond Oil- 10%
Triphala Extracts- 5%
Mulethi Extracts- 2%
Kapoor- 2%
Netranjan- 5%
Kaajal- 2%
Ointment- Q.S.

My Opinion:- I love to wear kajal all the time and keep on experimenting with various brands. I have learnt 1 thing about kajal in the long run is that it smudges- sometimes immediately and sometimes a little later. This Biotique kajal is no exception, it smudges immediately after applying. If I powder the area around my eyes then this kajal stays on for not more than 30 mins without getting smudged. It is satiny and intense black and glides on very effortlessly. That is 1 factor I love about this kajal. Biotique kajal is fully ayurvedic and contains natural ingrdients like Almond Oil and Sesame Oil. This is another factor I love about this kajal. It glides on my lid very easily and also lines my waterline easily in a single swipe. I like this kajal for many reasons but the only reason I could not make it my HG kajal is that it smudges like hell and gives me raccoon eyes. In an hour it makes me look like a panda =D It doesn't irritate my eyes and gives a cool feeling upon application, this is because of the presence of Kapoor. Hope Biotique does something about this smudging problem.

Pros:- Ayurvedic, contains natural ingredients, affordable, easy to remove, 5 years shelflife

Cons:- Cheap looking packaging, smudges a little too much, lasting power too bad

                     I rate this product 3 out of 5. No I am never repurchasing this Kaajal ever again.

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY KAJAL- SWATCHES N REVIEW

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY KAJAL- SWATCHES N REVIEW

2.6 gms for INR 79

Ingredients:- Not Listed

My Opinion:- I love applying kajal on my eyes. I apply it everyday and my makeup seems to be incomplete without it. Basically my everyday makeup is just a tinted lip balm or gloss or kajal. I keep on experimenting with different brands and last month my pick was Avon Simply Pretty Kajal. It comes in only 1 shade- Black, matt and intense. I line my upper-lids with it after priming and powdering my lids and the kajal stays on for 3+ hours. I am happy to declare that this kajal don't fade off soon and also it doesn't smudge off.
              But after the said 3 hours it fades off leaving a light-blackish vague line on my upper-lid, I must say that I am much impressed by this kajal. But when applied to my waterline it fades off soon leaving a line on the roots of my lower lashes. It wears off before the first hour of application and needs to be reapplied time and again- it sucks, also it smudges if I don't add a dash of powder below my lower-lashes. But otherwise it stays put till I remove it with a makeup remove from the roots of my lower lash line. Line on the upper-lid is easily removed by my Pond's Daily Face Wash.

Pros:- Cheap, comes in a pencil so I can keep sharpening it to make its tip pointed whenever necessary and in the process avoid contamination, intense black, easily glides on so no need to tug or swipe over and again. No irritation ( I have sensitive eyes)

Cons:- Ingredients not listed, smudges- but all kajals do, 3-4 swipes needed on my waterline.

                      I rate this product 3 out of 5 only because the ingredients of this kajal are not listed. Otherwise its a steal at INR 79 and I already have 2 pencils with me right now. Its not a must buy for me because I would rather prefer experimenting with another brand :-D

Shahnaz Hussain Kajal-Shaeyes- Swatches & Review

SHAHNAZ HUSSAIN KAJAL-SHAEYES- SWATCHES N REVIEW
gms for INR

Company Says:-
A very special combination of herbs and pure Almond oil to pamper your eyes. Makes eyes look exotic and healthy. The content of Trifala in this product helps improve vision while the pure Almond oil encourages the growth of luxuriant lashes. Trifala was used in the ancient Ayurvedic system of medicine for maintaining and improving eyesight.

Ingredients:- Trifala, Pure Almond Oil, Indian Gooseberry, Myrobalans.

Method of Use:- Can be used daily. In case of irritation due to sensitivity, discontinue use. Can be easily removed with Shacleanse, and moist cotton wool. The Almond content reconditions the skin surrounding the eyes, and encourages luxuriant eyelashes.

Shades:- Black, Blue, Brown, Green.

My Opinion:- I have been using this for many years now, in between I used himalaya, oriflame, Biotique Kajals though Lakme Kajal was my first one. But I was never satisfied with anyone brand in particular. I liked 1 thing in 1 brand and another thing in the other brand so basically my quest for that perfect kajal is still far from over.

Long back my mom introduced me to this Shaeyes kajal and since then I have been using it everyday. Its not super black but intense enough to make my eyes stand out. I use it to line my upperlid, lower lash line and specially the waterline. My eyes are so sensitive and this kajal never made them watery or itchy, a big plus point for me or anyone with sensitive eyes.

Shaeyes- Hand Swatch
The only problem I face is that if I use it on my normally moisturized lids, it tends to smudge and give me raccoon eyes which I hate too much. But then If I use it after priming and powdering my eyelids then it just stays on and on. Though it lightens on the waterline and I have to reapply it after 3-4 hours, not a problem for me- am very much used to it.

When the tip is pointed its easy to apply but as it gets blunt and rounded at the tip it becomes difficult to line my eyes with it directly. No problem to apply on waterline but I have to use an angled brush to line the upper as well as lower lash lines, not a problem for me because am very much used to it as well.

Pros:- Its herbal, contains no lead, does not irritate my eyes, case comes with a small mirror making it convenient to apply whenever necessary.

Cons:- Packaging is cheap looking, comes in a stick form and thus becomes blunt and rounded at the tip.

I rate this product 4 out of 5 and I think I will buy it again and again till I find a perfect kajal for myself.
