AVON NATURALS LIGHTENING PAPAYA & SOY MILK HAND & BODY LOTION- SWATCH, PICS & REVIEW

250 ml for INR 149

Company Says:-

Active Ingredients:-

Ingredients:-

To Use:-

My Opinion:-
Since a year or so I have taken a fancy to body lotions. So I have experimented with many different brands, and liked most of them. Lately I have started using Avon skin and body products as you all might know that Avon is 1 of my fave brands. A body lotion is necessary for maintaining the moisture of the skin. During the hot days we bathe 2-3 times so the requirement of a body cannot be denied.

My arms and legs are dry in the winters but during the summers the skin turns to kind of normal. I have by now got into this habit of applying a body lotion all over my body before retiring to bed at night, after taking a refreshing bath ofcourse. Last summer my HG body lotion was the NMFe Body Lotion but this year I have switched to Avon

The bottle is a combination of bright yellow and orange which I like very much. The fragrance sweet fruity but nowhere near papaya. It is a white light weight lotion with watery consistency. The texture of this lotion is thin but not runny. A little lotion goes a long way as it gets spreads easily on my skin without leaving any trace of greasiness.

Just 3-4 pumps are needed for the entire body so it will not finish off before 30-40 days. It moisturises my skin making it soft and silky but with the much hated oiliness. You don't have to wait for it to get absorbed for 15 mins because it blends into the skin immediately.

This body lotion is enriched with natural extracts of Papaya, milk and soybeans. It boosts of a lightening action of the skin which I have noticed to some extent but then it plumps up my skin and gives a healthy glow which is more important to me. Stays on all night through and in the morning I still get a little scent which is very refreshing.
Swatch

Pros:-
Non-greasy non-sticky formula
Plumps up my skin
Whitening effect on my skin
Cheap :D
Keeps my skin moisturised
Fragrance is awesome

Cons:-
Doesn't contain sun protection
Contains Paraben

I rate this body lotion 4.25 out of 5 (-.75 because it is without sun protection). I will surely repurchase this body lotion again and again as I am in love with. But then body lotions are flings not affairs for me ;)Also I am waiting to see how it behaves in the winters of Delhi :)

AVON SUN SPF 40 PA+++ SUNBLOCK LOTION- SWATCHES, PICS & REVIEW

50 gms for INR 249

Company Says:-

To Use:-

Ingredients:-

My Opinion:- Summers call for sunblocks and till now I have never found my HG sunblock lotion :( Therefore, I keep trying different brands in the hope of getting my HG sunblock lotion. This time I tried Avon's Sun SPF 40 PA+++ Sunblock Lotion. This lotion contains SPF 40 which gives good protection and also PA+++ which also gives UVA protection. The PA rating are- PA+, PA++, PA+++ and the higher the '+' the higher is the protection from sunburn caused by UVA rays.

The bright blue bottle is small and cute, it comes with a flip lid. It has a light texture though it is not runny or watery. But it is not thick also. It has a mild fragrance which I cant relate to anything. The fragrance doesn't stay on for long after application. The fragrance is not nauseating but I don't like it :( This lotion gets absorbed into the skin immediately without leaving the whitish cast most sunblocks do. A small blob of lotion is enough for the face and neck.

Though this lotion is very light weight, it leaves my skin a little greasy. I have to dust my face with loose powder to decrease this oiliness but this trick doesn't work for more than an hour. Neither it broke me out nor did it irritate my skin but it made my skin a little more oilier than it used to be, during the course of its application. Another problem I had with this lotion is that it leaves my skin looking a little dark and makes me sweat more than I generally do.

Pros:-
¤ Contain SPF 40 PA+++
¤ Absorbs well into the skin
¤ Doesn't leave white cast on the skin
¤ Contains Aloe Vera
¤ I didn't broke out after using it
¤ No irritation/allergy experienced, good for sensitive skin

Cons:-
¤ 50 gms for Rs 249 is pricey
¤ Makes me sweat
¤ Not suitable for my oily skin as it adds to the greasiness
¤ Not waterproof

I rate this product 3 out of 5. I would recommend it to girls with dry and sensitive skin. I will not repurchase this sunblock lotion again as it doesn't suit my oily skin.

LAKME BLACK SATIN KAJAL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

1 stick for INR 150

Lakme Says:- Jet black kajal for the blackest black delivery in just one stroke. Draw a sharp, intense line or smudge for a smoky finish. The easy-to-use pencil glides on super soft and smooth, with a glossy finish only satin can provide! Create bold and beautiful eyes with this water resistant formula that keeps color and shine in place without spreading.

Ingredients:- Not Listed

My Opinion:- I am in love with kajals, therefore I keep on experimenting with various brands. This is one product I can't live without. On a regular basis I apply a tinted moisturiser, compact, kajal and tinted lip balm and I am good to go. Applying kajal is also a habit now. This time I will give my views on my long forgotten Lakme Satin Black Kajal, which claims to be waterproof, smudge proof.

The best part about Lakme Satin Black Kajal is its pretty packaging, I love the golden floral-vine-y design over the black background. The kajal is a very intense black which all kajal users can die for. It is very creamy as well and hence glides on very smoothly. It doesn't tug or pull the eyelid and gives a clean and controlled line on the upper lid as well as on the lower lid. I have sensitive eyes so I am a bit skeptical in using any new kajal on my waterline but when I tried this kajal on, I was happy with the results. But one problem I faced with this kajal was it smudged on my skin like any regular kajal. No matter how much effort I made to keep my eye area oil-free, it still smudged :(

Well some of my fellow bloggers were so happy that this kajal didn't smudged on them and stayed in place all day long. But this was not the case with me. My experience with its staying power was also not good enough as the kajal slid from my waterline to my lower lid in an hour or so. On the upper lid also it never stayed for not more than 2 hours with smudging. Also it got collected at the inner corners of my eyes, that's so embarrassing :( But of course it stayed a little longer on primed lids but not a vast difference in the staying power and smudging.

Pros:

* Affordable and Easily Affordable

* Very intense black

* Packaging is damn pretty, black & gold designs

* No camphor/any kind of strong smell

Cons:

* Smudges on me, maybe because I have oily skin/lids

* Staying power not satisfactory taking into consideration the big claims made by the company.

I rate Lakme Satin Black Kajal 3.75 out of 5. No I will never repurchase it, it has been sitting unattended since more than 6-7 months now. It's an average Lakme product, not so good but not bad either. This is my personal opinion, so please read other reviews before deciding on this Kajal.

LOTUS HERBALS- POMEGRANATE & PLUM ENERGIZING SKIN POLISHER- SWATCH, PICS & REVIEW

50 gms for INR 155

Company Says:- Gently removes dead cells and rejuvenates skin. Its deep detoxification re-energizes the skin and impart a clean-fresh look.

Active Ingredients:-
Pomegranate- moisturing and skin renewal properties; helps reduce fine lines & wrinkles, makes skin look younger & radiant
Plum- Rich in anti-oxidants, prevents skin damage & reduces the signs of aging

Ingredients:- D. M. Water, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Fumed Silica, Prunus Murne (Plum) Seeds, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seeds, Prunus Murne (Plum) Extracts, Punica Murne (Pomegranate) Extracts, Olive Oil PEG-7 Ester, Xanthan Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan Gum), Methylchloroisothiazolinone(and)methyl isothiazolinone, 2-Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Ponceau 3R CI No. 16155, Brilliant Blue FCF CI No. 42090, Fragrance.

Results:- Reduces fine lines & combats ageing to reveal luminous skin

Direction:- Gently apply Pomegranate & Plum Energizing Skin Polisher on moistened skin with brisk circular movements on the face and neck. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use daily for younger looking & luminous skin.

My Opinion:- I don't share a good relation with scrubs. Most scrubs irritate my skin and gives a red-abused look to my face. Since scrubbing is an important step to achieving a radiant and glowing skin, I always look around for products that can help me substitute a normal scrub but still give mild exfoliation to my face. This is where a skin polisher sounds too good to be true.

This Skin Polisher comes in tub form and the tub is made of transparent plastic. On opening the lid I found another thin plastic lid to avoid spillage/wastage. At first I was skeptical, a little worried you can say. But when I dipped my finger into the jelly-like skin polisher, I found out the granules in it are very fine. I wet my face and started massaging a small blob of the skin polisher all over my face, neck and nape. It was very gentle on my skin and there was no sign of any redness or irritation.

My first impression on opening the lid was wow looks and smells so yummy :P Very edible indeed :D I have been using this Skin Polisher for more than 15 days now, every single day but once. It is working well for my oily skin and I haven't broken out as yet. I cannot say a word about its anti-wrinkle properties as I don't have any wrinkles/fine lines. Also my skin looks radiant and my friends ask me about the glow. This is proof enough on how much its suiting me. I am using it daily and not experiencing any dryness. My is refreshed after a wash. Its a nice product for girls like me who are sensitive to scrubs.

Very Fine Granules
Pros:-
Gives an instant polished look to the skin
The smell & color is yummmm :D (no I didn't try eating it)
Good substitute of scrubs
Very mild exfoliating, gentle on my skin
Affordable

Cons:-
Leaves behind a red-ish stain on my fingertips, though it goes away after proper washing with soap
Comes in tub form so its not hygienic, tubes are much better

I rate this product 4.5 out of 5. Right now I am enjoying this skin polisher and I recommend it to all the girls who has problem with scrub and to the others also who needs an instant glow on their faces.

EVA- LIP DRENCH IN ORANGE- PIC, SWATCH & REVIEW

Eva Lip Drench in Orange- Swatch, Pics & Review

9 gms for INR 20

Company Says:- Keeps your lips smooth, supple and soft

Directions:- Squeeze the tube from bottom and glide the applicator directly on lips. Apply in sufficient quantity whenever required

Caution:- For external use only
Not to be used for children under 3 years of age
Best use before 24 months from pkd

My Opinion:- Lip balm is one of the most essential item in my purse/dresser. Cant live without one, I have loads of lip balm but that doesn't keep me from buying more. The minute I see a new lip balm, I buy it. May be I am getting addicted to lip balms ;) A couple of months back when I saw Eva Lip Drench at the chemists' I bought it immediately :D

As soon as I opened the tube omg I was in love with the fruity-orangey scent of this product. It was yum enough for me to try licking it off my lips :P but it was tasteless :( Its consistency is a little thinner than Vaseline lip balm or in that case most other lip balms. It is more like the Vaseline in the tub, spreads on my lips so well.

It makes my lips soft and supple, keeps them well moisturised for hours. I don't need to reapply every now and then as it stays on for long. It is perfect to use under drying lipsticks. But it has no sun protection and that's the only issue I have with this lip balm.

Pros:-
Sweet orange flavour
Pretty bright orange tube
Travel-friendly, can be tossed in the tinniest of purse
Moisturises my lips and keeps them soft and supple

Cons:-
Doesnt contain SPF :(

I rate this lip balm 4 out 5. I will buy other flavours if they are available (I didnt see other flavours except this one). Had it contained SPF, it would have been the best in my collection of lip balms :D

2. Thanks to its remarkable scrubbing properties and enriched with a natural regenerating active, it helps peel off imperfection marks.

Its secret?
An unprecedented association in the formula which fights imperfections and their marks:
¤ Concentrated Salicyclic acid is one of the most efficient exfoliating actives*.

I love the pretty blue grains, they are so gentle on my skin

Ingredients:-Water, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Palmitic Acid, Steareth-12, Polyethylene, Salicyclic Acid, Coco-Betaine, Aammonium Polyacryldimethyltauramide,/Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Capryloyl Salicyclic Acid, CI 42090/Blue 1 Lake, CI 77007/ Ultramarines, Copper PCA, Menthol, Pentasodium Ethylenediamine Tetramethylene Phosphate, Polysorbate 60, Sodium Hydroxide, Synthetic Wax, Tetrasodium EDTA, Vaccinium Mrytillus Fruit Extract, Zinc Gluconate, Fragrance (F.I.L. B35396/1)

Soap free washing preparation with organic surface active agent.

My Opinion:- I am sensitive to most scrubs so its a real pain to find the right formula. Using most scrubs gives my skin some redness and irritation :( A couple of months back when I was browsing through the shelves of a cosmetic counter, the SA suggested I give this scrub a try. I purchased it after going through the details on the tube.

When I opened the lid of the tube, the smell of shaving cream put me off. I took a small blob and added a little water, it foamed well. I applied it on my wet skin and gently massaged it into my face, neck and nape. Wow it was very mild on my skin and gave a cool sensation which I love very much. I kept massaging for 2-3 mins giving max attention to the corners of my nose (hope you understand what I mean), I got a few tiny blackheads over there.

After washing off I didn't see any redness and my skin was not irritated. Also my cheeks didn't feel dry and I had a nice glow on my face. In the beginning, I was skeptical to use it daily on my face but after using it for a week, I began using it daily but only once, in the morning/or at night, whenever I feel like. This scrub is gentle on my pimples also and it cleans off the oil from the surface of the skin with ease.

And yeah, about the anti-mark and anti-spot factor, I would say it did nothing of that sort for me even after using it for 2 months now. Another thing is that only a little blob is required every time so I can say that a little goes a long way. This tube is nearly over now, so I thought its the best time to share my experience with you all.

Pros:-
Makes my skin soft, smooth and glowing
Uproots blackheads from the corners of my nose
Gives a fresh feeling when used
Its very gentle on my skin
A little goes a long way
Affordable

Cons:-
Smells like shaving cream
I feel it wouldn't uproot stubborn blackheads (I don't have stubborn ones but its just a feeling :D)
Anti mark anti spot claim is totally false
Gives a slight stinging sensation to the area between my nose and upper lip, but nothing serious

I rate this product 3.75 out of 5. This daily scrub is working for my oily-acne prone skin right now but I would not purchase it again since I plan to try out a scrub from another brand. This product is not bad at all but I wouldn't rate it as very good also, just somewhere in between :P

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY EYE DEFINING PENCIL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY EYE DEFINING PENCIL IN GREEN- SWATCHES & REVIEW

1.3 gms for INR 119

Company Says:- Provides rich color and is smudge-proof

Key Ingredients:- Camphor n Castor oil for a cooling n soothing effect.

Available in 4 shades:-
Black
Green
Brown
Metallic Blue
Eye Defining Pencil (Green)

My Opinion:- Eye pencils gives a pop to the eyes and enhance them dramatically. Eye pencils can pull up a look in no time. I love these colorful pencils and keep on trying out different brands all the time. This time I laid my hand on this Avon Simply Pretty Eye Defining Pencil. I chose the shade green, am in love with greens :D It is an intense green shade and I think it would look great on most Indian skin tone.

This pencil is not creamy but I don't need to tug and pull my eyelids to line them. I use it to line my eyes and also my waterline. Sometimes I use it on my entire lid as eyeshadow. I haven't experienced any irritation (I have sensitive eyes) so I would say its a good quality pencil, safe as well. Though nowhere it is mentioned that its ophthalmologist test but still I never had any problem when using this pencil on my waterline.

The staying power is not good enough, it stayed on my waterline for less than an hour and on my lids for about 2 hours without primer. But with primer it stays on for longer, about 3.5-4 hrs which is pretty good considering the small price it comes in. But then this pencil is not smudge-proof as the company claims. It smudges to an extent but not too much. This pencil makes no claims to be waterproof but it doesn't go off with water alone. I need a face wash or cleanser to take it off completely.

Pros:- Contains camphor and castor oil, intense color, cheap

Cons:- Smudges and needs a primer to last long.

I rate this product 3.75 out of 5. I don't think I will get another pencil from this range.

Directions for use:- Apply generously oil over the body after bath and at night.Use Daily.
Suitable for all skin types.

Suitable For All Skin Types

My Opinion:- Last winter I came across creams and lotion from Everyuth. I bought a cream and this nourishing body lotion as these were very cheap and came with natural ingredients like wheatgerm oil and cocoa butter. My arms and legs are on the drier side and in winters they dry out even more. So I started using this lotion and the dryness was neither reduced nor control, well can say this lotion controlled the dryness temporarily. It gave oily coating to my skin which goes away within an hour or so. But a very good thing about this lotion is that inspite of being greasy it didn't stain my clothes and nor did it gave that sticky feeling. It is mildly scented and the scent is not a bad one, its pleasant enough for me.

Pros:- Travel friendly, very cheap, non sticky

Cons:- All claims made by the company are false.

I rate this product 2 out of 5. This nourishing body lotion didn't work for me and also it didn't harm my skin. Noway am I going to buy it again.

I love vanilla ice cream and this hand gel reminds me of ice cream yummmm :P This gel comes in a cute white tube and has an awesome fragrance. It can be carried in the purse easily because its small enough. Its watery and hence very runny therefore gets easily absorbed into the skin. It is a non-sticky gel formula and doesn't make my hands/palms greasy though a mild fragrance lingers on and on for quite sometime.

The best part is that this hand gel is anti-bacterial. I am using it for 1 month now and I am nearly done with this tube. I haven't experienced any dryness or itching (it contains alcohol) of my palms/hands regular use rather I should say frequent use. I use it whenever I feel like, it gives my hands a clean and fresh feeling. All claims made by the company are true and I am very happy with this product.

Pros:- Travel friendly, awesome fragrance, affordable, anti bacterial, doesn't dry my hands

Cons:- Contains alcohol, lot of products come out when I open the lid of this tube.

I rate this product 4.75 out of 5. I am planning to get the Frangipani fragrance next. This is 1 product that I am in love with right now.

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY SHINY LIQUID LIPGLOSS- SWATCHES N REVIEW

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY SHINY LIQUID LIPGLOSS- SWATCHES N REVIEW

3 ml for INR 189

Company Says:-
* Super Shiny and Ultra Glossy
* Keeps lips Moisturised

Ingredients:- Not Listed

My Opinion:- Avon Simply Pretty Shiny Liquid Lipgloss is a new launch. It comes in 3 shades- pink, peach and nude. I got the pink one, its a lovely pink shade with brown undertones- Pink Shine. Its fragrance is that of milk chocolate- yummy and it tastes great :P According to the company these glosses comes in pomegranate flavor- sounds yum right :D
I got Pink Shine and it is not much pigmented and gives my lips a pinkish nude glossy look. It does stay on for a long time and actually it survived a round of chaat this evening =) It is quite moisturising but very sticky though it lasts for 4-5 hrs on my lips. It stains glasses/cups like hell when I drink from them. Its more like a tinted lip balm and not like a gloss. Its consistency is very thick and it comes with a regular slanted tipped applicator.

Pros:- Very shiny and glossy, lovely shades, affordable, scent and taste is yummy =)

Cons:- Not pigmented, quantity is leaser than lip glosses from other brands. Super sticky, ingredients not listed

I rate this Lipgloss 3.75 out of 5. I don't think I will repurchase it, not even the other shade also. This gloss is sticky and non pigmented.

ELLE 18 LIP SMOOTHIE- SWATCHES N REVIEW

ELLE 18 LIP SMOOTHIE- SWATCHES N REVIEW

9 ml for INR 80

Company Says:- Deliciously beautiful lips in yummy fruit flavors. Smooth, glossy and super kissable.

Ingredients:- Cocoa Butter is the only ingredient listed in the tube.

My Opinion:- With all the hype going on about Elle 18 Color Bombs, I immediately got a few products when they were made available in Delhi. This Lip Smoothie is 1 of the many products I bought from that range. Mine is a shade called Peach Afterglow and it gives my lips a peachy nude glow which stays put for an hour or 2. But when I first applied this Lip Smoothie on my lips, I got a burning sensation which was not serious though. The intensity of the sensation kept on decreasing with time and within the next 20-25 mins it was completely gone.
It was so uncomfortable wearing it on my bare lips so I decided to wear a lip balm under the lip smoothie. But my plan failed and still I had the problem of a burning/stinging feeling on my lips. Hence I have stopped using this product and returned back to my old fav glosses. Though it cost me only INR 80-85, its a total waste for me. Actually it stings/burns more than most plumpers do. It gives a good shine and I love the nude glow it gives my lips. But then sadly its a big no no for me :(

Pros:- None except the lovely nude look it gives my lips.

Cons:- It dried out my lips with every application, caused burning sensation on my lips, it gets accumulated at the corners of my lips.

I rate this product 1.5 out of 5 and this I am giving only because I love the shade so much. Its a total waste for me. Do read the reviews of other bloggers before deciding on this lip smoothie.

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY KAJAL- SWATCHES N REVIEW

AVON SIMPLY PRETTY KAJAL- SWATCHES N REVIEW

2.6 gms for INR 79

Ingredients:- Not Listed

My Opinion:- I love applying kajal on my eyes. I apply it everyday and my makeup seems to be incomplete without it. Basically my everyday makeup is just a tinted lip balm or gloss or kajal. I keep on experimenting with different brands and last month my pick was Avon Simply Pretty Kajal. It comes in only 1 shade- Black, matt and intense. I line my upper-lids with it after priming and powdering my lids and the kajal stays on for 3+ hours. I am happy to declare that this kajal don't fade off soon and also it doesn't smudge off.
But after the said 3 hours it fades off leaving a light-blackish vague line on my upper-lid, I must say that I am much impressed by this kajal. But when applied to my waterline it fades off soon leaving a line on the roots of my lower lashes. It wears off before the first hour of application and needs to be reapplied time and again- it sucks, also it smudges if I don't add a dash of powder below my lower-lashes. But otherwise it stays put till I remove it with a makeup remove from the roots of my lower lash line. Line on the upper-lid is easily removed by my Pond's Daily Face Wash.

Pros:- Cheap, comes in a pencil so I can keep sharpening it to make its tip pointed whenever necessary and in the process avoid contamination, intense black, easily glides on so no need to tug or swipe over and again. No irritation ( I have sensitive eyes)

Cons:- Ingredients not listed, smudges- but all kajals do, 3-4 swipes needed on my waterline.

I rate this product 3 out of 5 only because the ingredients of this kajal are not listed. Otherwise its a steal at INR 79 and I already have 2 pencils with me right now. Its not a must buy for me because I would rather prefer experimenting with another brand :-D
