(F.I.L. B43449/1)

My Opinion: - The product that I am going to review today is Garnier Light 3 in 1 Facial Fairness. I like this kind of multi-tasking beauty products as I am always on the go and its easier to carry 1 product rather than than carrying a face wash, a scrub and a mask. I love the tube packaging as its positively travel-friendly. This fairness facial comes in a white and yellow plastic tube with a white plastic screw-on cap, very hygienic.

                        The fragrance of this fairness facial is a mixture of clay and cucumber with a touch of Eucalyptus oil (if that makes sense), nothing very strong or undesirable. The texture is dry-creamy and the consistency is thick. Its non-gritty and very gentle on my skin. It does not lather at all though it contains SLS. I like to use it as scrub and mask but not as face wash. This cleanser is a white thick cream with bright blue micro particles which are not gritty or harsh on my skin.

               I wet my face and massage a little on my skin and it scrubs away all dullness and dead cells, this I do 3 times a week. It leaves my skin radiant and much brighter. Once a week I use it as a mask all over my face and neck. The advantage of this mask is that it dries within a few minutes, great for winters :P It washes off easily and leave behind a soft glowing skin. But I am not comfortable using this cleanser as a face wash, I have used it for a week as a face wash but it didn't work for me. Firstly, it didn't lather even a bit, secondly it leaves behind some residue and doesn't give me squeaky clean skin.

                    One big advantage of this product is that its multi-tasking, it works as face wash, scrub and mask. And therefore, it is very convenient to carry one tube instead of multiple tubes while travelling. It controls the greasy-ness and shine of my skin to some extent. It didn't break me out or irritated my skin in any way. A must have product for all skin types including sensitive skin as this product is very mild and gentle.

Pros: -

* Affordable and Easily Available

* Multi-Tasking cleansing product

* When used as mask, it dries off within minutes

* When used as scrub, its mild and gentle on my skin

* As mask and as scrub, works great for me, does not make my skin red

* Travel-friendly

Cons: -

* When used as wash, it leaves behind some residue

* Does not give that squeaky clean feel when used as wash

                   I rate Garnier Light 3 in 1 Facial Fairness 4 out of 5. I am liking it as scrub and mask but not as wash. I recommend this cleanser to all skin care freaks and I suppose this product will work for all skin types.

Hope you were benefited by this review, do leave behind your lovely comments and share with us your experience with multi-tasking products. Thank you and have a great Sunday :)

DIY FACIAL

Once a month your skin deserves a special treatment, a facial. Give your skin this once a month self facial to ensure a radiant glow and creamy complexion.

Step 1: Take a little Cleansing Lotion/Cream and apply on dots all over face, neck and nape. Massage gently with your fingertips for a min or two. Keep it on for another min and wipe off with a moist cotton ball with soft hands. This step is important as it removes all impurities as well as stale makeup.

Step 2: Moisten your face with warm water and apply a suitable scrub on your entire face, neck and nape. Avoid the area around your eyes and lips. Massage with circular motion for couple of mins or as long as you want.

Step 3: Steam your face with hot water for 5 mins. Add a dash of lemon juice in the water. Skip this step if you don't know how to do steaming.

Step 4: If you have blackheads, wrap 2 tissues around 2 index fingers and gently press to remove them. Don't press hard as you may injure your soft facial skin.

Step 5: Choose a face pack according to your skin type and apply with a brush on your whole face, neck and nape avoiding the eye area and the lips. Keep it on till it dries. Wash off with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

Step 6: Now take toner in a cotton ball and apply as required to close the pores and tighten the skin.

Step 7: Take a suitable moisturiser and apply all over face, neck and nape in dots. Gently massage it into your skin.

Step 8: Now atlast use a rich eye cream all around the eyes. Massage gently.

Weekly Home Facial

                   Hi Babes, a facial has three major steps- 1. Cleansing 2. Nourishing and 3. Toning. Regular facial ensure a smooth and even complexion with no black or white heads. Apart from the facial treatments you get for yourselves in the beauty parlour take out time every week to pamper your skin with this low cost treatment that can be done by yourself at home with products from your kitchen.
                  Cleanse your face and neck with raw milk if you have dry skin or use rosewater if you have oily or sensitive skin. Soak a cotton ball in milk or rosewater and clean face and neck with it.
             Moisturizing or Nourishing can be done with a mixture of 2 tsps of honey and lemon juice for oily skin, 2 tsps each of honey and milk cream for dry skin and 2 tsps of  milk cream and 2 drops of almond oil for sensitive skin. Massage your face and neck with the mixture that is applicable to your skin type. Leave on for 5 mins and wash off with tepid water.
             Deep Cleansing is the next step. It has to be done to remove black as well as white heads and to slough off dead skin. For oily skin take 2 tsps of dalia (broken wheat), a few drops of lemon juice, 1tsp of gramflour and required amount of cold milk. For dry and sensitive skins replace the lemon juice with rose water. Apply on your face and neck and gently scrub off the mixture when semi-dry. Be extra cautious in case of sensitive skin. Wash off with cool water.
              To firm up your facial muscles and tighten up the skin use a face pack. For oily skin mix together 2 tsps of fuller's earth, half a tsp each of lemon juice and honey and adequate amount of water. For dry skin replace lemon juice with almond oil if you wish and for sensitive skin replace lemon juice as well as honey with rosewater and a few drops of almond oil. Apply on your face and neck and wash off when the pack feels dry.
              Now is the time to close pores of your skin. Pour rosewater into ice tray and let ice cubes form. Take a rosewater ice cube and rub it all over your face and neck for a couple of mins as the finishing step to this easy and effective home facial.
This will close and shrink off all the pores and give your skin a porcelian  look and feel.
              Take sometime off your busy schedule and give a little caring to your skin at home with natural/organic products off your kitchen shelf. Your skin will benefit in the long run. Now that the month of September is nearly gone its time to get serious with the festivities that comes alongside of winter.
