ORIFLAME MILK & HONEY GOLD NOURISHING HAND & BODY CREAM- REVIEW

250 gms for 479

With Organic Extracts of Milk & Honey

Oriflame Says :- A rich moisturising cream which softens, conditions and nourishes your hands and body delectably.

Ingredients :- Aqua, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Stearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Paraffinum Liquidum, Mel, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Carbomer, Ceteareth-20, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Stearic Acid, Sine Adipe Lac, Propylparaben, Parfum, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Isopropyl Myristate, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Citronellol, Hydroxycitronellal, CI 47005, CI 14700

My Opinion :- I have dry skin on my body, specially on my limbs. As winter approaches, I perk up my body care routine as my skin gets drier. Last month Oriflame sent me a whole bunch of products and I was very excited to find Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand & Body Cream among other stuff. This cream is officially my first body cream from Oriflame, but I doubt if it had the word 'Gold' in it back then. Anyways the formula and packaging seems to have remained the same over the years. As I was using some other body lotions (for both day & night time) from other brand, I started using this since last 20 days or more. So here I am with my views on Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand & Body Cream.

                         This Milk & Honey Cream comes in a cute round see-through plastic jar with a golden brown screw-on lid. The packaging is sturdy but not hygienic as I have to dip my finger to get the cream out for use (I have long nails). The jar is big enough to be travel-friendly but there is a protective foil at the mouth of the jar to avoid the cream from coming in contact with the lid and getting messy. Still I don't prefer to carry it along with me during my frequent travels as the cute jar is bulky and a little heavy too. I wish Oriflame had a smaller tube packaging of this cream as well, then it would have been hygienic and travel-friendly as well.

                      The fragrance of this hand & body cream too has remained the same as far as I can remember. The Milk & Honey Soap has a similar scent, fresh Jasmine but sweet and mild. The scent stays on for a while before fading off totally. This hand & body cream is a pale yellowish in color, thick butter-ish but more of a gel formula, it's light weight but very hydrating. This Milk & Honey Cream gives a cool feel to the skin upon application and therefore I think it would be a treat to use it during the hot summer nights. About 5 small blobs of cream is enough to cover my entire body. I prefer to dip a Q-tip to take out the product instead of my finger as the quantity is huge (250 gm), I would not be able to finish it off anytime soon and also I don't want to contaminate it.

THE CREAM LOOKS LIKE THICK BUTTER, VERY HEAVY

                             I use two different body creams/lotions everyday at different times, a lotion/cream with sun protection for the day and a plain one for the night. This hand and body cream does not come with sun protection and this is the reason I apply it all over my body during the night as I love to apply body lotions/cream at night before hitting the bed. I have seen my mom doing this since I was a mere child and I have happily followed her. This cream easily gets absorbed into the skin with a gentle massage and immediately hydrates my dry skin. This Milk & Honey Cream is non-sticky and has good moisturising abilities but it just goes off within an hour leaving behind a luxurious silky-satiny feel to the skin. This silky feel stays on till washed off with water.

                           As for my hands, they are a lot dry, so I need a specialized hand cream but I do top it with this hand and body cream and than my hands are silky to the touch. In the morning my skin feels soft and supple and silky to the touch. I have to move on to a richer cream/lotion as the harsh winters come by because by then my skin would be much more drier and would need a richer moisturiser. Otherwise this hand and body cream would work wonders on my skin during the summers/warm/not so cold days when the skin on my body is not so dry. I know of a girl, who has normal facial skin and uses this on her face at all times and has fabulous skin. Ofcourse I never tried it on my face and I never will :P but it's my mom's favorite body cream (she had normal body skin) and a hit from Oriflame.

Pros:

* Very hydrating

* Imparts a luxurious silky-satiny feel to the skin

* Mild & sweet Jasmine fragrance

* Rs 479 for 250 gm is justified, Oriflame products are on sale most of the time

* Non-sticky & non-greasy formula

* Light-weight gel formula, looks like thick butter

* Gets absorbed into the skin easily

* Contains organic extracts of milk & honey

* Makes the skin soft & supple

Cons:

* Bulky packaging, not travel-friendly & hygienic (I prefer tube packaging over jars with open mouths

* Available only through Oriflame consultants

* No SPF included

* Moisturizing effect lasts only for an hour or less, would need reapplication if used during the day

                   I rate Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand & Body Cream 4.25 out of 5. It does not comes with sun protection and so I had to use it during nights only. Gives a luxurious silky feel to the skin apart from being hydrating. Highly recomemded to all girls who adore body creams and also to girls with all skin types except very very dry chapped skin. A great body cream from Oriflame <3

ORIFLAME ECOBEAUTY HAND CREAM- REVIEW

75 ml for INR 329

Oriflame Says :- A hand cream that offers immediate nourishment with Fairtrade Organic Coconut Oil and Fairtrade Shea Butter, helping to soften skin and protect against the effects of environmental stressors. Contains moisturising Organic Glycerin and mineral UV filters.

**Ecobeauty products are vegan friendly and bear The Vegan Society, we guarantee all raw materials and final products are free from animal testing, animal fat, gelatin or any ingredients derived from animals.

Ingredients :- Aqua, Glycerin, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Propanediol, Bentonite, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Caprylate, Butyrosermum Parkii Butter, Xanthan Gum, Phenethyl Alcohol, Limonene, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Parfum, Linalool, Maltodextrin, Sigesbeckia Orientalis Extract, Geraniol, Quartz, Citral, CI 77891

My Opinion : I love the large variety Oriflame has to offer in Hand Creams, I have already reviewed Coconut & Ricemilk Hand Cream and Nourishing Hand Cream for Dry Hands. I use different hand creams at different times- one for the day and another for the night. The one I am using for the day is Oriflame Ecobeauty Hand Cream which I bought many months back but started using since the last month ans a half. This time I chose this particular hand cream as it boosts of being vegan, paraben free and claims to contain 99% organic ingredients. I sit in an air conditioned office whole day and naturally also my hands are on the dry side which turns drier in the winters. Therefore the need of a hand cream arises after each time I wash my hands.

                         The hand cream is thick white and light-weight, not sticky or greasy therefore it is perfect for day time use. It has been enough moisturising (but it would not work for very dry skin) since I started using it but now my hands are turning a little drier and I am planning to keep this hand cream aside after this review. The hand cream sinks into my skin in seconds with a little massage and I can almost immediately work on my laptop and handle official documents. The hand cream comes in a white opaque plastic tube with a refreshing green screw-on cap. The tube packaging is ideal for carrying around in your purse and hygienic too. The fragrance of this hand cream is not on the pleasant side but it is not unpleasant as well.

                       This hand cream washes off with water only without the use of soap so I have to reapply every time I wash my hands. But supposedly I don't wash my hands for a longer period of time, the hand cream and its moisturising effect stays on. Also a small blob of cream is required for each use so the Rs 329 tag for 75 ml is justified, after using it for over a month now nearly half of the cream is left in the tube which I shall use up later. Around September/October the skin on my hands were normal so this cream was working very well for me but now as winter is here I am switching on to a richer hand cream for day time also. Overall a good hand cream for the summers and perfect for day time use as most ladies  prefer a rich formulation for the night.

Pros:

* Good day-time hand cream

* Non-greasy & non-sticky

* Moisturises enough

* Does not transfers to papers, keypad etc

* Contains Organic Coconut Oil & Glycerin and Shea butter

* It's a Vegan hand cream

* Gets absorbed into my hands easily, within seconds

* Does not contains Parabens

Cons:

* Fragrance is not very pleasant but not unbearable as well

* Not for very dry skin

* Available only through Oriflame consultants

                     I rate Oriflame Ecobeauty Hand Cream 4.25 out of 5 as it is vegan and paraben-free. I would suggest using it during the summer months as most ladies would find it non-hydrating for the dry winter months. Another decent non-sticky non-greasy formula from Oriflame which I recommend for use during summer months at day time.

ORIFLAME NATURE HAND & NAIL CREAM WITH NOURISHING COCONUT & RICEMILK- REVIEW

ENTER BEAUTYDIVA INDIA'S 2nd BLOG ANNIVERSARY HERE

75 ml for INR 169

Company Says: - Use hand cream daily for soft, smooth hands and to help protect hands and nails throughout the day.

Ingredients: - Aqua, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Glyceryl, Stearate SE, Stearyl Alcohol, Paraffinum Liquidum, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Polysorbate 20, Parfum, Ceteareth-20, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Methylparaben, Stearic Acid, Carbomer, Propylparaben, Cocos Nucifera, Commiphora Myrrha, Propylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Hydroxide, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Isopropyl Myristate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Sine Adipe Lac, Trdeceth-9, Coumarin, Oryza Sativa Bran Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Sorbic Acid

Cocos Nucifera- is our common coconut and it is used in the formulation of moisturisers & body butters as it gets readily absorbed into the skin. It is highly nourishing and conditioning.

Oryza Sativa Bran Extract- is actually Rice bran extract and is used in cosmetic formulations for its skin conditioning and skin protecting properties.

Coumarin- is a white solid crystalline chemical substance with a sweet odour similar to vanilla, sweet & nutty, when diluted it smells like freshly cut hay. The substance naturally occurs in tonka beans, sweet clover, strawberries, cherries, bison grass, woodruff and apricots. In cosmetics it is used in the formulation of after-shave lotion, bath products, cleansing products, moisturizers and various skin care products. It is used in place of vanilla in many a food products.

Commiphora Myrrha- is a natural aromatic gum. It is said to be a tonic with rejuvenating properties. It has medicinal properties and its widely used in the treatment and prevention of gum diseases. Also it is used as an Analgesic for toothaches.

Sine Adipe Lac- is also known as Milch, nonfat dry milk & getrocknet. It is used in cosmetic formulations as an antistatic and skin conditioning agent.

My Opinion: - During the peak summer months, I kept using my body lotion on my hands as well. But now that fall is here, I have reverted back to using proper hand creams. Oriflame has a wide range of hand creams and I have used their Handcare Nourishing Hand Cream for Dry Hands and liked it a lot. So next I wanted to use their Nature Hand and Nail Cream with Nourishing Coconut & Ricemilk. I have been using it during days some quite sometimes now. So here are my views on this hand cream.  The packaging of this product is a white plastic tube with a screw-on cap and there is no fear of mess if you throw it into your handbag for touch-ups. Nothing special about the packaging, it’s very basic.

                          The fragrance of this hand cream is similar to freshly made Coconut Ladoos/Barfis (yummmm…); I simply love its aroma. This white hand cream is something between a lotion and a cream, it’s not runny though. Its light weight in consistency and very smooth and creamy in texture. Even though it is light weight it gives enough moisturization to my hands all throughout the day though I need to reapply it after 3-4 hours (in Air-conditioned environment). This cream is not waterproof or water-resistant. It washes off with plain water. Just a blob is more than enough for both my hands, so I can say that a little goes a long way.

This much is enough for both hands

                            I apply this hand cream only during the daytime, after my bath and maybe twice or thrice thereafter. This cream is good for all seasons (except winters) to be used during the day as it is light weight and non greasy. It gets spread on my hands very easily and also gets absorbed into my skin easily and quickly without much massaging. It has soften my dry rough cuticles and my skin looks hydrated and well cared for after regular use of this product. Nothing dramatic or magical has happened to my hands but they are well moisturised and softer right now. I also use a heavier hand cream during the night along with nail serum etc. This tube contains 75 ml of cream which is very less taking into consideration that I have to use is atleast thrice a day. It’s getting used up pretty fast and I have started looking for another  hand cream for the daytime.

Pros: -

* Fragrance is yummy like coconut ladoos & barfis

* Affordable at Rs 169 and its mostly on sale (this month Oriflame is giving it out at Rs 149)

* Light-weight and non-greasy, hence perfect for day

* Skin absorbs it quickly and easily without any such rubbing/massaging

* No sticky feeling so I can right away touch my mobile phone or work on my lappy

* Its size makes it convenient to throw it into my handbag for later use

Cons: -

* Not waterproof/water-resistant

* Needs to be applied after 4 hours

* It’s going to get used up in over a month’s time I think

* Available only through Oriflame beauty consultants

* A flip-open cap would have been better

* Contains Parabens

I rate this Oriflame Nature Hand and Nail Cream with Nourishing Coconut & Ricemilk 4 out of 5. It’s nothing special but it’s cheap and it does its job well. Must try product for Oriflame loyals and hand product fanatics. I would repurchase only if Oriflame introduces a jumbo pack of this hand cream or maybe I would buy one when I get bored of my other hand creams.

Hope you enjoyed this review, please do share your experiences with us about hand creams you are using right now. Thank you and do have a rocking time.

ORIFLAME NOURISHING HAND CREAM FOR DRY HANDS- REVIEW

100 ml for INR 259

Company Says:- Nourishing hand cream with Sweet Almond Oil to immediately soften and smooth dry skin. Use throughout the day.

Ingredients:- Aqua, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Paraffinum Liquidum, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Carbomer, Ceteareth-20, Parfum, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Stearic Acid, Propylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Isopropyl Myristate

My Opinion:-
A couple of years back, the only thing I applied on my hands and feet was the regular body lotion. But since I have started blogging and taking more care of myself, I started using hand creams on my hands. I think that I tend to take more care of myself if I have different products for different purpose/body parts. This is how I got this habit of using hand creams all the time.

Today I am going to put forward my views on Oriflame's Nourishing Hand Cream For Dry Hands. Winter makes my hands a little dry, so I chose this particular hand cream. It comes in a matte peachy-orangey tube with a flip open lid. The lid click shuts thightly so its travel-safe, I have travelled with it safely. The fragrance is sweet-milky (if that makes any sense), its mild and that's what I love in a hand cream. I tend to reach out for it all throughout the day for the sweet smell actually.

This cream is not thick, its like a lotion and it spreads so easily on my hands. Just a blob is enough for each application and I apply atleast 5 times a day and its seen me through nearly 50 days of cold weather. This cream gets absorbed quickly and leaves behind no greasiness on my hands and I can work on my laptop after waiting for a couple of mins. It does not stains my clothes or anything I touch.

It has taken good care of my hands by giving them enough moisturization. My hands remained soft and smooth while I kept using this. This cream has reduced the darkness of my knuckles which is why I loved it. It contains Sweet Almond Oil which is very nourishing and has whitening properties.

But though its named Nourishing Hand Cream For Dry Hands, its not going to help the ones with very dry/peeling hands. Its good the ones with little dryness which most of us get in the severe winters. Also I needed to apply this cream after every single wash because it goes off when hands are washed (without soap/hand wash). Its neither water-resistant nor water-proof.

Pros:-

* Contains Sweet Almond Oil/Extract which has nourishing as well as whitening properties

* Nourished/Moisturised my hands

* Saw me through 50+ days, complete paisa vasool (value for money)

* Whitened my knuckles to quite an extent

* Spreads well, gets absorbed fast and does not make my hands greasy

Cons:-

* Price is a bit high at Rs 259 but offers are very frequent in oriflame

* Contains Urea and Parabens

* Not moisturising/nourishing for very dry hands, don't go by the name

I rate this Oriflame Nourishing Hand Cream For Dry Hands 4.25 out of 5. Its a good hand cream as it gives proper moisture/nourishment but people with very dry/peeling hands please stay away as it will do nothing for you. Now next hand cream after finishing this off is from Avon, I will review it after some days. Till then do take good care of your hands and thanks for reading this post :D

DIY/HOMEMADE MULTIPURPOSE CREAM

Good Evening girls,
It's freezing right now, and sitting at home and doing nothing is not my cup of tea. So I thought why not share with you all my Mom's secret recipe to a soft and supple skin all through the harsh winters. Her skin never tends to get dry like mine does. Anyways coming back to the cream, my Mom and now me too applies it all over hands, feet/legs and the entire body to be precise. I dare not use it on my face but Mom says its a great cleanser as well. After using it for a couple of weeks now, I totally agree with her. Its a great hand cream cum foot cream cum body cream for the ones with dry skin like mine. Now the recipe follows:

Ingregeints:-
Pond's Cold Cream- 2 Tbspn
Almond Oil- 3 Tspn
Glycerin- 1 1/2 Tspn
Rose water- 1 Tspn or less
Essential Oil- 1-2 drops (I use lavender oil)
Empty Tub to store the cream

Method:-
Take Pond's Cold Cream and put it in the tub, add the glycerin and mix well. Now add the almond oil little by little and keep mixing. Finally add the rose water and essential oil and stir till you get your cream mixed well. Its ready to use.

You can also add coconut oil if you like to instead of almond oil. This cream takes good care of dry skin specially hands, feet, arms & legs. It also improves the condition of the cuticles with prolonged use. After you prepare this cream once, you can adjust the quantity of the ingredients to suit your needs. And also I would like to state that I never used it on my face to massage or to clean off makeup, so I would not be able to tell you anything regarding that. I use it at night before hitting the bed all over my body and hands and feet.

Hope you enjoy reading and preparing the recipe. Do leave behind your precious comments. Thank you so much for reading this post and have a great day ahead :)
