My Opinion: - Some days back I reviewed Nivea Repair & Beauty Lip Balm which I have been using at nights and reaping good results. So today I am here with my views regarding Maybelline Baby Lips Anti-Oxidant Berry Lip Balm which I have been using during the day. But let me tell you girls here itself that this is not the only lip balm I am using during the dayWithout wasting much time let me come to the packaging of this lip balm which is super cute retractable blue tube with pink cap and cuter pink font on the tube. This way it is very travel-friendly, can be applied on the go without a mirror.

                                  The fragrance is very mild and reminds me of fresh berries. Its a pleasant fragrance which most people including the ones with sensitive noses will love. The lip balm is baby pink in color and it is buttery soft and glides on the lips with ease. Just a couple of swipes is all you need to get baby soft lips for hours.  Actually the lip balm stays on for 4 hours at the max with light snacks and completely goes off after a full meal. It needs to be reapplied every few hours when worn alone but if used underneath a lipstick its effects stays on for much longer periods. This lip balm is non-tinted and hence I love to wear it under lipsticks. It comes with the added advantage of SPF 20 and that is the main reason I prefer to use it during day time. 

                            Ok I tried using this lip balm twice at night and the results were simply awesome. My lips were baby soft and very well hydrated, I found my lips to be pink and very smooth & supple. This lip balm basically does whatever Maybelline claims but the effects are temporary, my lips are hydrated, moisturised and soft & supple only when the lip balm is on. As soon as the lip balm fades off, slowly the lips become a little dry so I have to keep reapplying it whenever required. My lips are well moisturised and protected from the sun and that's enough reason to say this lip balm from Maybelline is worth the hype and rave reviews from my blogger friends. I love it too, I am also using the Berry Crush one which is tinted and comes with SPF 16.

               I rate Maybelline Baby Lips Anti-Oxidant Berry 4.25 out of 5. I am a self confessed lip balm addict and try my hands at all possible lip balms I come across. A very affordable lip balm in a very catchy packaging which gives you baby soft lips, then why not give it a try this winter and pamper your lips. And good news for all the men out there, this lip balm is non-tinted and you too can grab one for yourself. Next I plan to get the Mango Pie one. Recommended for all lip balm fanatics :D

My Opinion: - Lip crayons do look cute and most of us have gone crazy and grabbed as many as possible from all brands that launched these crayons. When I saw similar crayon in the Oriflame catalog I grabbed 3 of these- Vibrant Almond, Pink Impact & Striking Rose. Oriflame chose to call them Lip Impact Crayons and today I am going to put forward my views on the shade Striking Rose which is a pretty but vibrant pink with blue undertones, bright and vivid just right for the winters. The packaging is similar to all lip crayons but this one does not have the twist up/down mechanism and it needs to be sharpened. The crayon has a plastic body and its color corresponds to the shade of lipstick inside it. The lid shuts tight and is of deep blue-black color. This makes it easy to carry around in the purse.

STRIKING ROSE (MIDDLE)

                       The fragrance is that of chameli ka tail (Jasmine Oil) but thankfully it fades off after 15-20 mins of application. The texture of this lip crayon is extremely soft & buttery and the consistency is that of a thick liquid lipstick. It is very pigmented and a single coat is enough for full coverage. This lip crayon in Striking Rose is glossy so I prefer not to use a gloss on top of this lip color. This particular shade stays on for a long time but does not survive a full meal. It fades off after 3-4 hours and leaves behind a beautiful pink stain. This lip crayon is easy to apply and travel friendly. You wouldn't need to add gloss on top of this shade as it is glossy all by itself. Ok this particular shade is not an everyday wear shade of lip color as it is a bold pink and it is not wearable for office/college, atleast for me.

SWATCH- ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING

                         I could use this lip crayon only thrice before the tip went blunt. Since its too soft, sharpening it is a pain and also a lot of product goes waste. My favorite Lakme Sharpener doesn't help as the crayon is a little thinner for the jumbo hole and a little thicker than the normal hole. So I had to get myself a brand new Oriflame Sharpener but I haven't given a trail. This lip crayon moisturises my lips and doesn't give that dehydrated-stretchy feel to my lips. You may or may not wear a lip balm underneath as this lip crayon does not accentuate the flakiness and deep lines of the lips if you have any. As I said earlier, the tip of this lip crayon is very soft you need to be careful while applying, a little too much pressure will break the tip. Once I left the lip crayon in Vibrant Almond in the car for 2 day, and later when I checked it... eewww it melted and the shape of the tip was disfigured. Therefore I don't think it would be a good idea to carry it in your bag.

Pros:

* Very soft & buttery, glides on lips with ease

* Lasts for 4-5 hours and leaves behind a beautiful stain

* Easy to carry around & great for on-the-go touch-ups

* Moisturising and hydrating but does not bleeds

* Does not settles into the lines of lips

* Vibrant pink shade which will suit the festive mood

SWATCH- NATURAL LIGHTING

Cons:

* Sharpening this lip crayon is a pain as it is too soft

* I had to purchase Oriflame Sharpener as the crayon did not fit the standard jumbo or normal eye/lip pencil sharpener

* Melts like hell so think before carrying it in your purse



                  I rate Oriflame Lip Crayon in Striking Rose 4 out of 5. Its a bold but gorgeous shade of pink and should suit most Indian skin tones. If you purchase Oriflame Lip Crayons, make sure to ask for their sharpener as well. Recommended only to beauties who love to wear bold, bright and vibrant shades on their lips.

My Opinion: - I love lip balms, just keep on trying any brand and type I come across. This time its Nivea Repair & Beauty Lip Balm which I use only at night. The word "Repair" made me use this lip balm only at nights but I did also try using it underneath lipsticks and glosses with great results during daytime as well. This is one lip balm that is staple in my winter care essentials every year. Now that the days are getting colder, I would make a repurchase of this lip balm as this one you see in the pics is nearing its end. My lips are dry and a little bit of negligence can aggravate the condition so I always apply lip balms during the day as well at night.

                        The packaging of this Nivea Repair & Beauty Lip Balm is simple and like most lip balms it comes in a twist up tube like lipsticks. It can be thrown into a purse as the lid shuts with a click and is mess free. The fragrance is that of peppermint and it is not on the stronger side. The lip balm glides on the lips like butter and a single coat is enough to give a subtle shine and required softness. This lip balm contains a ton of good ingredients like shea butter, jojoba oil, castor oil and glycerin which are known for their moisturising and conditioning properties. It also contains menthol and that is the reason my lips experience a cool tingling feel for quite sometime after application of the balm.

                           Like I said I have been using this lip balm mostly during nights and a couple of swipes ensures that it protects and repairs my lips all throughout the night. In the morning I find my lips soft and fully moisturized. If my lips feel dry or flaky any time, this lip balm comes to my rescue. It is one lip balm you can apply over those matte-drying kind of lipsticks and you will have moisturized lips at once. Now I don't use this lip balm in the day time for a couple of reasons, main being the lack of Sun Protection. Also it leaves behind a whitish coat on my lips after application, it does clears off after sometimes but I am not a patience girl to keep waiting. I have used it many a times underneath lipsticks/glosses with SPF and works just as fine but still I prefer to use it at night. 

WHITE CORE FOR REPAIR & PINK CORE FOR BEAUTY

Pros:

Cons:


* Gives a whitish look to the lips immediately after application but it fades off

* Does not come with Sun Protection

               I rate Nivea Repair & Beauty Lip Balm 4.5 out of 5 as it can easily repair as well as protect dry and chapped lips. Whenever my lips feel dry or flaky specially in the winters, I blindly entrust my lips to this lip balm. Highly recommended for beauties with dry and chapped lips but everyone can use it except those allergic to Menthol. I would say its the best lip balm from Nivea I have tried so far.

My Opinion: - After the not so satisfying experience with Oriflame Lip Spa Therapy, today I will be reviewing a very cheap but good lip balm, VLCC Natural Sciences Daily Protect Lip Balm with Honey. The packaging is simple, twist up white plastic tube with a similar plastic cap. Fits into most purses, convenient to use and travel-friendly.


























                     The texture is very very soft buttery and the consistency is thick waxy. The fragrance is nothing special, just mild candy scent which stays on for long. This lip balm is so soft that it melts in the purse and gets deformed. So a little bit of the stick should be twisted up for use and pressure should not be applied.

                  This lip balm is very moisturing and keeps my lips soft and supple. It is orange in the tube but non-tinted on the lips. Lipsticks slide off when applied over this lip balm so I use it during the night and it stays on it morning. Its a non-sticky but waxy lip balm which gives temporary relief to dry chapped lips. It is not glossy as claimed by the brand but it gives a nice sheen to the lips which I like.

* I apply at night and there is still some left on my lips in the morning

* Cheap, dirt cheap actually

* Gives relief to dry chapped lips but that's temporary

                  I rate VLCC Natural Sciences Daily Protect Lip Balm 4 out of 5. Its dirt cheap and gives required moisture to my lips at night and my lips are soft and smooth in the morning. A must try for all lip balm lovers.

My Opinion: - I love lip balms and I just remembered I have a handful of lip balms to review. One of the lip balms I am reviewng today is Oriflame Lip Spa Therapy. I have used Oriflame Tender Care as lip balm and loved it. So I ordered it and always I was told that this Lip Spa Therapy was out of stock. That's the reason I had very high expectations from this lip balm. The packaging is very cute, a white slim plastic tube with a pretty pink band in the middle portion of the tube. Very hygeinic and fits into even the tiniest purse.

                 This lip balm looks like a lipstick, its a pretty pink slim bullet with white inner ring, call it dual core. Its a light weight lip balm apt for applying underneath lipsticks. Its non greasy, non waxy but moisturising. It helps to keep my lips soft, that's it. Nothing more nothing less. Its non glossy and non tinted which I like.

               The fragrance is very sweet very mild bubblegum-y which goes away after application. It is not very moisturising as the company claims 300% moisturising. Too tall a claim, this will do absolutely nothing for very dry chapped lips. So no use during winters but rest of the year it works well under lipsticks. If worn alone, it needs to be reapplied after short durations which finishes of the lip balm very soon. And hence its expensive. Just another lip balm, nothing special.
