WELLA KOLESTINT COLOR CREME- AN UPDATE

Hi girls, sorry for delaying this update to Wella Kolestint Color Creme. If you remember I had colored my hair on the 16th of May with Wella Kolestint Color Creme in Medium Mahagony Brown. Since I had been on vacation around the last week of May and first week of June and also because I wanted to be very sure about the after effects so I delay this post. But now I can let you all know my experience till now with the color on.

Condition of my hair before the coloring:- My hair needs shampoo, conditioner and a detangler/serum to be in good condition. I didnt face hair fall or dandruff but my roots are dry and my scalp is oily :P

Post coloring condition:- I am happy to say that there no difference in the condition of my hair except that I don't need a detangler when I use the conditioner provided in the Wella Kolestint Color Creme pack. This conditioner is awesome and I love the fragrance. The color has not faded even though my hair gets direct exposure to the sun for long hours. This is a plus point :) I have not experienced any itching or dryness which I used to experience with other hair colors.

Since I haven't faced any problem since the past 1 month, I am very happy with Wella Kolestint Color Creme. And also my hair remains soft and silky like before, there is no sign of any roughness as well.

I rate this product 4.50 out of 5 (.50 deducted because of presence of ammonia). Right now I am enjoying my richly colored hair and yes I will surely purchase it to color my hair a rich hue for the winters :)

My Opinion:- I love to color my hair with deep rich colors to brighten it. So when Wella sent me 2 packs I was a happy girl. I chose Medium Mahagony Brown today and applied as instructed. I hate the smell of most hair colors but this color didnt smell yuck after mixing and after applying it was nearly fragrance-free and to sit with the color on for 40 mins was a good experience. I had done the allergy test just before I previewed Kolestint and I came out without any reactions :D So I moved on to doing the Strand Test and my hair strand took around about 40 mins to show up the color I had fancied. It came out a rich mahagony so I proceeded to color my full head. The first step as suggested by the company, I applied the Pre-Coloration Treatment and waited for a couple of mins for it to work on my hair. Then I applied the color creme (mixture of equal quantities of color creme and developer) which was a funny orange, all over my hair and comb through a couple of times.

It is very creamy and didnt drip and spoil my clothes or stain my skin. It wasnt wet but creamy like when I use a creamy hair mask on my hair, I liked this quality very much. When my time came for rinsing, my hair lathered well when I added a little water to my hair. Then I rinse untill the water came clean and trust me it didnt take a lot of time. I used the Intensive Shine Treatment which is a rich conditioner with a very sweet floral fragrance, waited for 2-3 mins so that the conditioner gets to work on my hair. A little more rinsing and I was done :) Now I was scared that my scalp will itch, which happens whenever I color my hair. But there isn't any kind of itching till now. My hair is behaving well without a serum and is soft and silky to the touch. The best part is that not even a single hair fell while applying as well as during washing. I color is intense and rich and you can see the results on my hair.
With Color on

Pros:- no hairfall, no itching, no overwhelming smell, affordable and showed good results

Cons:- none as of now but I will update after 15 days again.

I will rate this product after 15 days when I update you about the condition of my hair. But I definitely suggest you girls to go check it out as there are 12 shades available in this range. And yes, as of now my hair is behaving well without a serum for the first time :D

WELLA KOLESTINT COLOR CREME- A PREVIEW

Somedays back I got a mail from wella kolestint PR, a sweet lady. I was asked whether I was interested in reviewing a hair color and I promptly said yes. Yes, because I love to color my hair even though I know the side effects/damaging effects of hair color. Since last 3 years I am into the habit of color my hair for the sake of fashion or maybe because I love the rich color on my hair.

I was asked to select 2 of the many shades available and I selected Medium Golden Brown which I believe will be great for highlights and Medium Mahogany Brown which I will be using as the base color. About a week ago I got the packs and was dying to do a preview on it. I am so excited to use these colors on my hair and come Sunday, I will put on the color and share the pics with you :)

My hair is basically problem-free and I just use a shampoo and a conditioner and that's about it. So I will review these colors after I use them and tell you girls all the details. Thanks :D
