Company Says: -
Did you know?

VITA OILS SYSTEM
Revolutionary Non Greasy formula.

Instant nourishment boost for smooth and shiny hair anytime
Based on lab test, improvement of hair smoothness comparing damaged hair treated with non-conditioning shampoo vs Dove Nourishing Oil Care

Next generation nourishment for hair that’s strengthened against damage

Directions: - Pump 3-5 times depending on your hair length onto palm. Smooth evenly through wet or dry hair. Avoid roots. Style as desired. No need to rinse. For best results, use daily with Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo & Conditioner.

Ingredients: - Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Amodimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Perfume, Tocopheryl Acetate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butylated Hydroxytoluene.

My Opinion: - Serums are very essential part of hair care; it adds the finishing touches to hair after shampooing and conditioning etc. For many years now I have this habit of reaching out for a serum after every singler shampoo/hair wash. I have tried tons of serums and have liked most of them, though I first started with Livon Silky Potion when I was in school and loved back then. Now coming back to the review, the packaging is classy and good looking. A transparent plastic pump bottle with a white plastic dispenser and transparent lid. The bottle is somewhat oval-ish in shape which I like. Also its travel friendly and takes up less space since its sleek enough.

                  This serum is golden yellowish and runny in consistency. Its texture is silky and its completely non-greasy and extremely light. This serum is nearly non-scented (too mild for my nose to pick up) and just 2-3 pumps are enough for my hair. I apply serum after shampooing and conditioning or after using a mask/pack on my hair. I take a single pump, rub it between my palms and start applying on the lengths of my hair and then I take another pump and another one till I am done. One very big advantage of this serum is that it can be applied on dry hair as well and that too without greasiness.

                           This serum contains Vita Oil which is a blend of Coconut, Almond and Sunflower Oils which are extremely beneficial for the hair. It adds shine to my hair, detangles my hair after a wash and smoothens my hair making it soft and silky. This serum does not weighs down my hair or makes it limp and greasy. I like the fact that it decreases frizz and makes my hair quite manageable. Rs 300 for 40 ml is decent pricing because this bottle lasts me for about 2+ months with regular use. The bottle is reusable and I shall be able to use it for products which I think should come with a pump dispenser.

Pros: -

* The phrase Vita Oils impressed me

* Makes my hair manageable

* Controls frizz

* Makes my hair silky, shiny and smooth

* Affordable at Rs 300 for 40 ml, taking into consideration the fact that it takes more than 2 months to get over with regular use

* Can be applied on dry hair as well with good results

Cons: -

* Contains silicons but which serum does not contain chemicals

* None actually

               I rate this Dove Damage Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Vita Oil Serum 4.75 out of 5. It’s a nice serum and does what its supposed to do, no tall claims are made by the company and whatever they say is nearly true. This is the only serum after Livon Silky Potion that I have repurchased. It’s a must try for all girls who long for shine and frizz control.

With Revolutionary Vita Oils
Nourishes Deep Inside And Effectively Repairs For 99% Smoother Hair*
Advance Care & Repair For Beautiful Hair

200 ml for INR 300

Company Says: - Did you know? Dry hair needs more than simple moisture, it also needs essential nutrients that restore smoothness, softness & shine
Contains revolutionary Vita Oils, a unique blend with coconut, almond and sunflower oils, it is rapidly absorbed to deeply nourish & replenish essential nutrients, without leaving greasiness on hair. *Based on lab test, improvement of hair smoothness comparing damaged hair treated with non-conditioning shampoo vs Dove Nourishing Oil Care.

How to Use: - As your weekly haircare regime, apply a palmful and massage onto freshly cleansed hair concentrating from the middle to the ends. Leave for at least 3-5 minutes for best results. Rinses out easily.

Ingredients: - Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethiconol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Perfume, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Lactic Acid, Disoduim EDTA, Arginine, TEA-Dodicylbenzenesulfonate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Trideceth-5, Hellianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Carbomer, Methylisothiazolinone, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, CI 17200, CI 19140, CI 42090

My Opinion: - Since I started blogging and reading the wonderful reviews written by my co-bloggers, I have become very conscious about the health and look of my hair. I remember using a hair mask by Oriflame years back and loved it, sorry I don’t remember the name now. I was more than happy to receive this Dove hair mask from Indibloggers.  It comes in a white plastic tub which is kind of triangular in shape, the lid is screw on type and it does not have a protective shield to prevent the mask to come on to the lid if overturned. That makes it difficult to carry along in my travels but otherwise the lid clicks shuts tight and is perfectly travel-friendly. Dipping my fingers in the tub might contaminate the mask so I like tube packaging better.

                     Coming to the fragrance part this hair mask is sweet, mild and very feminine, the trademark Dove fragrance that we all seem to like. The consistency is very thick & creamy like body butter and the texture is soft like butter. This pale yellowish mask should be used once a week and I don’t use it as advised by the company. Well I have tried it as per their directions but I am more comfortable using it my own way. In winters, I take dollops of the hair mask and massage onto my scalp, down the length of my hair until my roots. Then I wrap a hot towel around my head and change for another hot towel as soon as the first towel is cold, I repeat this process as required. But in summers, I tie my hair into a pony tail, ofcoursre after shampooing my hair. Then the apply the mask on the pony tail alone :D I may or may not wrap a hot towel around my head, it depends on my mood, time etc

                    I have used this mask in a couple of ways, after shampooing and conditioning on towel dried hair as the rule says it; secondly after shampooing on towel dried hair without using conditioner and lastly on my wet- towel dried hair without shampooing. But I always follow the deep conditioning treatment with towel therapy. The first and last option works well for me in the winters when my scalp as well as hair is a little dry than normal. And the 2nd option works in summers/hot days.

                     This hair mask deep conditions my hair and makes it soft and shiny. The don’t have to use a serum/detangler or any other potion for that matter as my hair is extremely manageable and smooth after using this mask. This effect stays on for a week at the most and by then it’s time to use the mask again. I fall in love with my hair every week for a couple of days after using this hair mask. I wouldn’t say this is the best mask/treatment I have ever used but certainly it’s one of the best. I am on my 2nd tub now, hope that says it all.

Pros: -

* Suits my hair condition well, hair ends are no more dry after its regular use

* Affordable I would say, Rs 300 for 200 ml which is a good amount of product, not much is needed for a single use so takes about 2-2.5 months to get over

* Makes my hair manageable, soft and shiny and also controls frizz to quite an extent

* Does not make my scalp itchy when I apply it directly on my scalp

* I don’t need to use a serum/detangler after using this hair mask on my hair

* Contains coconut oil, sunflower seed oil & sweet almond oil in the form of vita oils which is very beneficial for the hair

Cons: -

* Contains Paraben

* Slips off my wet palms when it apply it on the length of my hair

* Tube packaging would have been better

                             I rate this Dove Damage Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Weekly Vita Oil Repair Mask 4.5 out of 5. I am on my second tub which is also about to get over now. I recommend this to girls with dry, normal as well as combination hair but girls with oily hair might get to see limpness in a couple of days after use, also might get a greasy scalp if care it not taken to apply below crown.

Hope you all enjoyed reading the review and please do share your experiences with us if you have used or are planning to use this hair mask. Thank you and have a nice day

DOVE DAMAGE THERAPY NOURISHING OIL CARE DAILY TREATMENT CONDITIONER- REVIEW

With Revolutionary Vita Oils

With the Power of Double Nourishment*

Advanced Care & Repair for Beautiful Hair

180 gms for INR 160

Company Says:-
Did you know? Dryness and dullness are signs of damaged hair leading to hair that's weak and rough to touch. That's why new Dove and Vita Oils goes deep inside and restores smoothness, softness and shine.
Dual Action Formulation:- With the power of double nourishment*
Gold Stripe: Contains revolutionary Vita Oils treatment to deeply nourish & replenish essential nutrients, leaving No Greasiness
*Refers to Nourishing benefits
White Stripe: Contains conditioner that seals cuticles to lock in nourishment and smooth frizz
Instant Deep Nourishing Power of a Treatment in the Time of a Conditioner. For Amazing Smoothness, Softness & Shine.

Directions for Use:- After shampooing, massage conditioner through hair and rinse thoroughly after 1 to 3 mins. For best results, use daily with Dove Nourishing oil care shampoo and use weekly with Dove Nourishing Oil Care Repair Mask.

Ingredients:- Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Dipropylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Glycerine, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Perfume, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Trideceth-5, Hydrolyzed Wheat Prottein, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Magnesium Nitrate, Carbomer, Ammonium Hydroxide, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Sodium Benzoate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium Chloride, Methylisothiazolinone, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, CI 77492, CI 77891

My Opinion:- I always follow up my shampooing with a good conditioner. Since Dove & Indiblogger had sent the entire Nourishing Oil Care Range, I used the Daily Treatment Conditioner along with the Dove Nourish Oil Care Shampoo. This conditioner comes in a convinient tube packaging which is of white plastic. Now this packaging is very hygienic but because of the loose flip open lid its not travel friendly, atleast I don't trust it.

The fragrance is very mild, sweet and feminine, actually its the trademark Dove fragrance. The consistency of this conditioner is thick but creamy. Its very appealing how the dual colored paste is dispensed through the star shaped nozzle. First half part of the conditioner is white and the other half is golden yellow. Looks like chakri (Snack) to me :P

Now this conditioner is a bit tricky to use, a little more weighs down the hair and a little less will impart no shine and would do absolutely nothing.As I said earlier that I always follow my shampoo with conditioner. I take some on my palm, rub it a little and apply to the ends and also to the entire length of my hair taking special care not to apply a single bit to my scalp. Then I rinse off after 2-3 mins. This conditioner is easy to rinse off and does not leave behind any residue. It does not need gallons of water to wash off completely, a big advantage.

This conditioner imparts shine and makes my hair soft and manageable. Also my hair is frizz-free to quite an extent. I love everything about this conditioner except the fact that it contains Carbomer, SLS & Silicons and therefore cannot be used for very long periods. I have to take breaks before coming back to this conditioner again.

Pros:-
* Sweet feminine fragrance
* Conditions my hair well
* Makes my hair soft & shiny
* Controls frizz/fly away hair
* Dual colored conditioner is appealing to the eyes when dispensed through the star shaped nozzle
* Needs lesser rinsing compared to other conditioners so I can use it when running short of time
* Very affordable for the quantity provided

Cons:-
* A little experimenting with this conditioner is necessary to get the hang of it
* Contains Carbomer, SLS & Silicon, known to build up residue

I rate this Dove Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner 4.25 out of 5. This product does whatever it says and that includes everything a conditioner must do. Nearly all conditioners contain chemicals and that's why our hair is shiny & silky after using them. I am sure I will keep coming back to this conditioner over & again. A must try for the ones with unmanageable & frizzy/fly away hair.

DOVE DAMAGE THERAPY NOURISHING OIL CARE SHAMPOO- REVIEW

With Fiber Actives and Revolutionary Vita Oils

Vitamin Enriched Nourishment For Hair That's Resilient To Damage

200 ml for INR 123

Company Says:-
Did you know?
Dryness and Dullness are signs of damaged hair leading to hair that's weak and rough to touch. That's why new Dove wit Vita Oils goes deep inside and restores smoothness, softness and shine
Vita Oils System:-
* Revolutionary non greasy formula
* Unique blend with natural Coconut, Almond and Sunflower Oils that are so fine they are rapidly absorbed to deeply nourish and replenish essential vitamins
Next generation nourishment for hair that's strengthened against damage

Directions for Use: Apply to wet hair, lather and rinse. For best results, apply twice and use daily with Dove Nourishing Oil Care.

Ingredients:- Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Dimethiconol and Trideceth-10 and Tea Dodecylbenzenesulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Perfume, Glycol Distearate, Glycerin, Carbomer, Amodimethicone and Cetrimonium Chloride and Trideceth-12, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Mica and Tit , Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Gluconolactone, Trehalose, Adipic Acid, Sodium Sulphate, PEG-45M, DMDM, Hydantoin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Prunus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut ) Oil, Methylchloroisothiazolnone and Methylisothiazolinone, CI 17200, CI 42090, CI 19140

My Opinion:- Dove has always been my fave brand for shampoos & conditioners. I simply love the trademark Dove fragrance which is very feminine according to me. A week before Diwali I recieved an awesome gift from Indiblogger, it was the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Range packed in a plastic pouch with small golden thermocol balls thrown it to resemble the Vita Oil droplets. I was happy to recieve this and immediately started using it as my previous shampoo had nearly finished off.

The packaging is basic nothing special, a sturdy white plastic bottle which is tall and comes with a dull golden flip top lid. The lid clicks shut tightly but at first I was a little skeptical if it is safe for travelling as I am a frequent traveller. The consistency is like lotion not very thick but not watery as well. The shampoo is offwhite loaded with golden shimmer like particles which makes it extremely appealing to the eyes. Coming to the fragrance it has this typical Dove fragrance which I have mentioned earlier.

I have oily scalp which turns normal in the harsh winters with dry ends which are dry round the year. So I thought this shampoo would turn my scalp more oily and do justice to my dry ends, but I was wrong. I always dilute my shampoo with a little water and use it on my wet hair. I used this shampoo alone also to check if its drying but the outcome was good enough and hence I started using it regularly and sometimes daily too. This shampoo did not make my scalp oilier but took good care of my dry ends. Its really very nourishing and the goodness of Vita Oils can be seen on my hair with regular use. Its a mild shampoo appropriate for damaged hair also, it neither irritates my scalp nor does it make it itchy. Its gentle on my scalp and hair and also it cleans my hair very well.

My hair has now become somewhat softer after around 2 months regular use and I still have some shampoo left for a few more uses. This proves that a little goes a long way as this shampoo lathers well. My hair is shiny and softer and less frizzy, also this has made my hair a little manageable than before. The downside of this shampoo is silicon which is said to build up residue with longer periods of expos. And another thing I am not comfortable is the flip top packaging as I have a hunch it might ruin your clothes while travelling so I make it a point to carry it separately inside a small plastic pouch :P See what not I do to keep it by my side as I am loving it.

Pros:-
* Cleans my scalp/hair well
* Make my hair soft, manageable & less frizzy
* Sweet feminine fragrance
* Its gentle on my hair/scalp
* Doesn't irritate or make my scalp itchy
* Affordable and easily available

Cons:-
* Contains SLES, Carbomer & Silicon but most shampoos do as well
* I am a little apprensive about the flip top packaging

I rate this Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo 4.25 out of 5. Right now I am loving this shampoo quite a lot. And I will keep coming back to it. Though I plan not to use it continuously. Its a must try shampoo for all babes with dry & rough hair. Thank you all for reading this post and please do leave behind your lovely comments. Have a great day :)
