AVON NAILPOLISH HAUL

Hi girls, this is a small nailpolish haul. I had ordered 8 but got only 5 since the other 3 are out of stock. Right now Avon has an amazing offer going on. The price of Avon Nailwear Pro (Matte/Neon/Normal) range is Rs 135 each but this month they are selling 2 nailpolishes for Rs 159

Cement Grey is from the matte range. Its a true grey and looks like freshly mixed cement. Its very pigmented and a single coat is enough for full opacity.

Inky Blue is also from the matte range. It looks purplish and shimmery in the bottle but its much bluish on the nails and it comes with purple shimmer. A single coat is enough for full opacity.

Coral Beat is a bright orange. Its from the neon range and needs 3 coats for full opacity. It is very glossy though.

Sunshine is a bright yellow. It is also from the neon range and needs atleast 3 coats for full opacity. It is very glossy.

Electric Green is a leafy green color. It is glossy and needs 3 coats for full opacity. This too is from the neon range.

All colors dries very quickly and are long lasting. Looks freshly applied for about a week or more. Hope to get other 3 colors soon. Thanks :)

LAKME BLACK SATIN KAJAL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

1 stick for INR 150

Lakme Says:- Jet black kajal for the blackest black delivery in just one stroke. Draw a sharp, intense line or smudge for a smoky finish. The easy-to-use pencil glides on super soft and smooth, with a glossy finish only satin can provide! Create bold and beautiful eyes with this water resistant formula that keeps color and shine in place without spreading.

Ingredients:- Not Listed

My Opinion:- I am in love with kajals, therefore I keep on experimenting with various brands. This is one product I can't live without. On a regular basis I apply a tinted moisturiser, compact, kajal and tinted lip balm and I am good to go. Applying kajal is also a habit now. This time I will give my views on my long forgotten Lakme Satin Black Kajal, which claims to be waterproof, smudge proof.

The best part about Lakme Satin Black Kajal is its pretty packaging, I love the golden floral-vine-y design over the black background. The kajal is a very intense black which all kajal users can die for. It is very creamy as well and hence glides on very smoothly. It doesn't tug or pull the eyelid and gives a clean and controlled line on the upper lid as well as on the lower lid. I have sensitive eyes so I am a bit skeptical in using any new kajal on my waterline but when I tried this kajal on, I was happy with the results. But one problem I faced with this kajal was it smudged on my skin like any regular kajal. No matter how much effort I made to keep my eye area oil-free, it still smudged :(

Well some of my fellow bloggers were so happy that this kajal didn't smudged on them and stayed in place all day long. But this was not the case with me. My experience with its staying power was also not good enough as the kajal slid from my waterline to my lower lid in an hour or so. On the upper lid also it never stayed for not more than 2 hours with smudging. Also it got collected at the inner corners of my eyes, that's so embarrassing :( But of course it stayed a little longer on primed lids but not a vast difference in the staying power and smudging.

Pros:

* Affordable and Easily Affordable

* Very intense black

* Packaging is damn pretty, black & gold designs

* No camphor/any kind of strong smell

Cons:

* Smudges on me, maybe because I have oily skin/lids

* Staying power not satisfactory taking into consideration the big claims made by the company.

I rate Lakme Satin Black Kajal 3.75 out of 5. No I will never repurchase it, it has been sitting unattended since more than 6-7 months now. It's an average Lakme product, not so good but not bad either. This is my personal opinion, so please read other reviews before deciding on this Kajal.

LOTUS HERBALS- POMEGRANATE & PLUM ENERGIZING SKIN POLISHER- SWATCH, PICS & REVIEW

50 gms for INR 155

Company Says:- Gently removes dead cells and rejuvenates skin. Its deep detoxification re-energizes the skin and impart a clean-fresh look.

Active Ingredients:-
Pomegranate- moisturing and skin renewal properties; helps reduce fine lines & wrinkles, makes skin look younger & radiant
Plum- Rich in anti-oxidants, prevents skin damage & reduces the signs of aging

Ingredients:- D. M. Water, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Fumed Silica, Prunus Murne (Plum) Seeds, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seeds, Prunus Murne (Plum) Extracts, Punica Murne (Pomegranate) Extracts, Olive Oil PEG-7 Ester, Xanthan Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan Gum), Methylchloroisothiazolinone(and)methyl isothiazolinone, 2-Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Ponceau 3R CI No. 16155, Brilliant Blue FCF CI No. 42090, Fragrance.

Results:- Reduces fine lines & combats ageing to reveal luminous skin

Direction:- Gently apply Pomegranate & Plum Energizing Skin Polisher on moistened skin with brisk circular movements on the face and neck. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use daily for younger looking & luminous skin.

My Opinion:- I don't share a good relation with scrubs. Most scrubs irritate my skin and gives a red-abused look to my face. Since scrubbing is an important step to achieving a radiant and glowing skin, I always look around for products that can help me substitute a normal scrub but still give mild exfoliation to my face. This is where a skin polisher sounds too good to be true.

This Skin Polisher comes in tub form and the tub is made of transparent plastic. On opening the lid I found another thin plastic lid to avoid spillage/wastage. At first I was skeptical, a little worried you can say. But when I dipped my finger into the jelly-like skin polisher, I found out the granules in it are very fine. I wet my face and started massaging a small blob of the skin polisher all over my face, neck and nape. It was very gentle on my skin and there was no sign of any redness or irritation.

My first impression on opening the lid was wow looks and smells so yummy :P Very edible indeed :D I have been using this Skin Polisher for more than 15 days now, every single day but once. It is working well for my oily skin and I haven't broken out as yet. I cannot say a word about its anti-wrinkle properties as I don't have any wrinkles/fine lines. Also my skin looks radiant and my friends ask me about the glow. This is proof enough on how much its suiting me. I am using it daily and not experiencing any dryness. My is refreshed after a wash. Its a nice product for girls like me who are sensitive to scrubs.

Very Fine Granules
Pros:-
Gives an instant polished look to the skin
The smell & color is yummmm :D (no I didn't try eating it)
Good substitute of scrubs
Very mild exfoliating, gentle on my skin
Affordable

Cons:-
Leaves behind a red-ish stain on my fingertips, though it goes away after proper washing with soap
Comes in tub form so its not hygienic, tubes are much better

I rate this product 4.5 out of 5. Right now I am enjoying this skin polisher and I recommend it to all the girls who has problem with scrub and to the others also who needs an instant glow on their faces.

LAKME GLIDE ON EYE PENCILS- SWATCHES & REVIEW

LAKME GLIDE ON EYE PENCILS- SWATCHES & REVIEW
1 Pencil for INR 275 (maybe :P)

Company Says:- Crushed gemstones sprinkled with the brilliance of precious metals.
For eyes that reflect the stars.

Available in 7 shades:-
Aqua Green
Iridescent Blue
Metallic Black
Peacock Green
Plush Purple
Smoky Green
Warm Copper

My Opinion:- Eye pencils can give a pop to the eyes in no time. A dash of color can liven up tired eyes. I love experimenting with brands and colors and I have accumulated a lot of pencils since the last 2 years. Today I am going to put forward my views on Lakme Glide On Eye Pencils, and the 2 shades I have with me are Aqua Green which is a beautiful bejeweled shade of bright teal and Smoky Green/Henna Gold which is a dark shade of forest green with gold undertones. Aqua Green is very pigment but the Smoky Green/Henna Gold is comparatively less pigmented and doesn't show up on my skin properly without a base/primer.

Lakme Glide On Eyeliner Pencils are very creamy and hence the tip is susceptible to breakage if not properly capped. So it needs to be capped cautiously. But sharpening the pencils is very easy and the tip don't break inside the sharpener. Also the tip comes out pointed and so drawing a fine is no problem. Since these are very creamy pencils, they dont tug or pull the eyelid while lining.

I use the pencils to line my upper/lower lashlines and waterline without any irritation or itching or burning sensation. I have sensitive as well as watery eyes but I didn't face any problem with the quality of these pencils. I use Glide On pencil to line my eyes and also as shadow on my lids. And I have always been happy with the results.

These pencils come with incredible lasting power. Once set they don't smudge, crease or budge from their place. Though they tend to fade slightly after 6-7 hours but they don't disappear completely. They don't melt with sweating or drenching as well. When used as shadow they don't crease and stays true till long hours. They stay put till I myself remove them with an eye makeup remover, face washes simply don't work on them.

I love the sleek packaging of the pencils and the transparent cap makes it easy to choose the wanted color. A very important thing about these pencils is that they set in very soon so you need to work fast on it to smudge it, can be a little tricky for slower girls. I have been using these for more than one and a half years now and I am totally in love with these pencils.

Pros:-
Very well pigmented
Creamy so doesn't tug or pull the eyelids
Needs sharpening, so its hygienic
After sharpening the tips comes out very pointed so its easy to draw a fine line
Affordable
Available in 7 stunning shades

Cons:-
Very creamy so tips break if not capped/uncapped with caution

I rate this product 4.75 out of 5. I will purchase the black and purple next, actually I am planning since long but don't know whats holding me :P

WELLA KOLESTINT COLOR CREME- AN UPDATE

Hi girls, sorry for delaying this update to Wella Kolestint Color Creme. If you remember I had colored my hair on the 16th of May with Wella Kolestint Color Creme in Medium Mahagony Brown. Since I had been on vacation around the last week of May and first week of June and also because I wanted to be very sure about the after effects so I delay this post. But now I can let you all know my experience till now with the color on.

Condition of my hair before the coloring:- My hair needs shampoo, conditioner and a detangler/serum to be in good condition. I didnt face hair fall or dandruff but my roots are dry and my scalp is oily :P

Post coloring condition:- I am happy to say that there no difference in the condition of my hair except that I don't need a detangler when I use the conditioner provided in the Wella Kolestint Color Creme pack. This conditioner is awesome and I love the fragrance. The color has not faded even though my hair gets direct exposure to the sun for long hours. This is a plus point :) I have not experienced any itching or dryness which I used to experience with other hair colors.

Since I haven't faced any problem since the past 1 month, I am very happy with Wella Kolestint Color Creme. And also my hair remains soft and silky like before, there is no sign of any roughness as well.

I rate this product 4.50 out of 5 (.50 deducted because of presence of ammonia). Right now I am enjoying my richly colored hair and yes I will surely purchase it to color my hair a rich hue for the winters :)

EVA- LIP DRENCH IN ORANGE- PIC, SWATCH & REVIEW

Eva Lip Drench in Orange- Swatch, Pics & Review

9 gms for INR 20

Company Says:- Keeps your lips smooth, supple and soft

Directions:- Squeeze the tube from bottom and glide the applicator directly on lips. Apply in sufficient quantity whenever required

Caution:- For external use only
Not to be used for children under 3 years of age
Best use before 24 months from pkd

My Opinion:- Lip balm is one of the most essential item in my purse/dresser. Cant live without one, I have loads of lip balm but that doesn't keep me from buying more. The minute I see a new lip balm, I buy it. May be I am getting addicted to lip balms ;) A couple of months back when I saw Eva Lip Drench at the chemists' I bought it immediately :D

As soon as I opened the tube omg I was in love with the fruity-orangey scent of this product. It was yum enough for me to try licking it off my lips :P but it was tasteless :( Its consistency is a little thinner than Vaseline lip balm or in that case most other lip balms. It is more like the Vaseline in the tub, spreads on my lips so well.

It makes my lips soft and supple, keeps them well moisturised for hours. I don't need to reapply every now and then as it stays on for long. It is perfect to use under drying lipsticks. But it has no sun protection and that's the only issue I have with this lip balm.

Pros:-
Sweet orange flavour
Pretty bright orange tube
Travel-friendly, can be tossed in the tinniest of purse
Moisturises my lips and keeps them soft and supple

Cons:-
Doesnt contain SPF :(

I rate this lip balm 4 out 5. I will buy other flavours if they are available (I didnt see other flavours except this one). Had it contained SPF, it would have been the best in my collection of lip balms :D

ORIFLAME MINI HAUL

Hi girls, today I am here with a small Oriflame haul. Most of the products were on sale, so I ordered a few favs :D

I will begin with my most used product. I use top and base coats all the time since I wear nail polish most of the time. So the Crystal Base & Top Coat is my nails best friend. The price is Rs 159, I got this one for Rs 119 :D

I wanted sponges to apply foundation since I got bored with the Vega ones :( These are very cheap at Rs 69 but I got them for Rs 59 :D

I was eyeing the Oriflame Beauty Absolute Concealer for eyes. I got these in both shades available- Pink & Gold. These are priced at Rs 198 each but I got these for Rs 129 each

Also I wanted a concealer so I bought the Oriflame Beauty Dual Skin Corrector. These are priced at Rs 239, I got my one for Rs 219

I got another concealer in pen/pencil form, Very Me Cover Up Concealer. Its priced at Rs 198, the cheapest concealer I have come across. I got discount on this one too, Rs 129 only :D

If you want me to review these products then please do let me know. Thanks :)

AVON HAUL

Avon always has some super duper sales going on. I like, no love Avon products and its become a monthly affair to haul some Avon products.

We all know the value of deos in the summers. So when I saw this Avon Senses Re-charge Deo Spray Citrus Fruity for only Rs 99 though its original price is Rs 139

I also bought the Daily Shine Dry Ends Serum because I am bored of using the Loreal Serum. So just for a change I got this one. Its pricey at Rs 429 but I got it for Rs 299

Another sunscreen to my collection is the Avon Sun SPF 15 PA++ Dailyblock Protective Body Lotion for Rs 169 instead of its regular price of Rs 215

I am into eye makeup in a big way these days, so I bought this Dual Ended Collection Eye Duo for Rs 229 instead of the regular Rs 299

Another eyeshadow I ordered for is a new launch by the company and I fell for it because of the cute packaging. This Onyx Lustre Tri Eyeshadow costs Rs 399 but due to the introductory offer I got it at discount, Rs 299

I am crazy about fairness products, so I ordered the newly introduced Avon Care Fairness Face Wash with Licorice which is only Rs 65 but I got it on offer for Rs 49

Now a very special and important product that should be used by all girls/ladies, Simply Delicate Gentle with delicate touch PH Balanced Feminine Wash. I got it for Rs 119 though its regular price is Rs 149

Last but not the least, the Avon rep. gave me a lip liner for free as I had complains regarding the lip liner she gave me before. Wow I love the berry shade :D

Thank you all and hope you enjoyed reading my haul :)

AVON GOLD SHINE EYELINER- SWATCHES, PICS & REVIEW

AVON GOLD SHINE EYELINER- SWATCHES, PICS & REVIEW
1.2 gms for INR 299

Company Says:- Smooth-glide formula applies golden sparkle color without tugging or dragging.

Ingredients:- Not Listed

Available in 2 shades:-
Golden Black
Golden Brown

My Opinion:- I love to use colored eye pencils to perk up my eyes. They make my eyes brighter and open them up. I keep on experimenting with eye pencils from different brands. This time it was Avon Gold Shine Eyeliner Pencil in Golden Brown. This pencil comes with a smudger attached at the other end and it is good enough, does it job pretty well. The shade is a beautiful brown with very fine golden shimmer which is not OTT and can be worn during the day as well as at night. I use it to line my eyes and also as eye shadow on my lids. It doesnt stay for long before beginning to smudge and smear. So I tried to use it over primered lids and I was the happiest girl on earth. It stayed put for more than 8-9 hours before fading a little and leaving behind a glittery trail. I love it for its staying power.
Smudger

Its a soft and creamy pencil but doesnt break while sharpening. It glides on easily with tugging or pulling my lids. Though it is not mentioned to be used on the waterline, I do use it on my waterline without any irritation or watery eyes. Another very important thing about this gold shine eyeliner pencil is that it doesnt gets washed off with sweat or even rain. Some days back I got drenched in the rain while wearing it but it didnt budge from its place though its not mentioned to be waterproof. It does not gets completely off with a face wsh, needs an eye makeup remover for complete removal. A total hit with me, considering to buy the golden black pencil as well.
Swatch

Pros:-
Sharpens easily without breaking
Lasts long
Hygienic
Pigmentation is good
Glides on super easy
Creamy & soft
Affordable

Cons:-
Needs a base for color to show up
Difficult to remove without eye makeup remover
Available in only 2 shades, hope Avon brings out more shades

After Smudging
I rate this product 4.75 out of 5. Its a total hit with me, I love it and have already placed an order for the golden black pencil.

THE NATURE'S CO- ATMOSPURE- SPEARMINT BODY WASH (FOR OILY SKIN)- SWATCH, PICS & REVIEW

THE NATURE'S CO- ATMOSPURE- SPEARMINT BODY

WASH (FOR OILY SKIN)- SWATCHES & REVIEW

250 ml for INR 485

The Nature's Co. Says:- Get tingly all over with refreshing Spearmint. It purifies, replenishes and revives your skin. This cleansing body wash lathers up in the bath or shower.

Ingredients:- Spearmint Extract, Pro-Vitamin B5, Vegetable Glycerin, W/S Base, Aroma, Natural Preservatives & Food Grade Colors (FD & C) Q.S.
* Products made using natural hill spring water.
* Some people may be sensitive to natural ingredients used in this product.

Shelf Life is 2 years and 5 months from the date of manufacturing.

The 5 symbols above the logo represents the 5 lines of products corresponding to the 5 elements of nature.

**Atmospure:- Inspired by pure air this range pays tribute to the soothing and calming feeling that comes from the purity found in the atmosphere.

**Starrize:- Inspired by the sun, the biggest star in our solar system. Like the sun, the products provide nourishment. But at the same time, they protect, especially against harmful radiation and its effects. Setting you up with the sparkle and energy to face the day.

**Foressence:- The enchanted forest and all it holds is captured in this range. Brimming with colourful, exotic ingredients, strong, captivating fragrances and the goodness and variety that only a natural forest can provide.

**Earthborne:- Of the earth and by the earth, this range is an embodiment of the earth and all the nurturing properties that are found in its soil, minerals and mud.

**Aquaspark:- The abundance of the oceans and rivers and all they hold find expression here. The rich aquatic & coastal ingredients in these products, like moss, red algae and seaweed hydrate and replenish while invigorating and refreshing your day.

My Opinion :- I have not used soap on my skin for a very long time be it my facial skin or body skin in general :P But I always use a face wash/cleanser for my face and a body wash for my body. I have normal skin on my body with oily back & chest and dry limbs. I know it sounds weird but that's the way my skin is. I get a couple of pimples on my back during the hot days from time to time. Its not that I don't clean myself well but its just that I get them.

The body wash comes in a sturdy plastic squarish transparent bottle and is travel friendly as the flip top/lid click shuts tightly. When I took out a blob of The Nature's Co Spearmint Body Wash body wash, it smelt like some medicated mouth wash with mint flavor :D After adding a little water it foamed so well that the small blob was enough to clean my whole body. I either use a loofah or my hands, both ways the cleaning is effective. This body wash is a dark forest green shade and its consistency is neither too thick nor too runny/watery.

I have been using it for more than 15 days now, daily once. Since its made for oily skin, I was a little worried. But this body wash didn't make my arms and legs dry, its not harsh on my skin. Apart from imparting a fresh cool feeling to my skin, it has effectively controlled the oiliness of my back and chest. Actually I had 5 pimples on my back when I first started to use this body wash. But after 5-6 days the pimples were gone/healed and there is no sign of any recurrence. It is 100% natural and consists of natural hill spring water which is very soothing and healing.

Pros:-

* 100% natural, product is cruelty free, vegan and eco-friendly

* Hasn't dried out my skin

* Has dried out/healed the pimples on my back

* Gives a fresh feeling

* A little product is needed for a single wash so 250 ml for INR 485 seems okayish

Cons:-

None except the smell of medicated minty mouth wash which is gone after rinsing the body with water

The Nature's Co products are not available easily but they are available online

I rate this product 4.75 out of 5, .25 I have deducted for the smell :/ Otherwise this is out and out a great product and I will purchase it when this bottle gets over, maybe it will take 3 months or more. Its a must try for the ones with oily backs, also suits normal skin. The Nature's Co. products are amazing.

Hope you enjoyed my review, do leave behind your precious comments and share with us experiences with Body Washes. Thank you and have a great evening ahead :)

This product was sent to me by PR/Company for consideration but my review is honest as always

Using most scrubs gives my skin some redness and irritation :( A couple of months back when I was browsing through the shelves of a cosmetic counter, the SA suggested I give this scrub a try. I purchased it after going through the details on the tube.

When I opened the lid of the tube, the smell of shaving cream put me off. I took a small blob and added a little water, it foamed well. I applied it on my wet skin and gently massaged it into my face, neck and nape. Wow it was very mild on my skin and gave a cool sensation which I love very much. I kept massaging for 2-3 mins giving max attention to the corners of my nose (hope you understand what I mean), I got a few tiny blackheads over there.

After washing off I didn't see any redness and my skin was not irritated. Also my cheeks didn't feel dry and I had a nice glow on my face. In the beginning, I was skeptical to use it daily on my face but after using it for a week, I began using it daily but only once, in the morning/or at night, whenever I feel like. This scrub is gentle on my pimples also and it cleans off the oil from the surface of the skin with ease.

And yeah, about the anti-mark and anti-spot factor, I would say it did nothing of that sort for me even after using it for 2 months now. Another thing is that only a little blob is required every time so I can say that a little goes a long way. This tube is nearly over now, so I thought its the best time to share my experience with you all.

Pros:-
Makes my skin soft, smooth and glowing
Uproots blackheads from the corners of my nose
Gives a fresh feeling when used
Its very gentle on my skin
A little goes a long way
Affordable

Cons:-
Smells like shaving cream
I feel it wouldn't uproot stubborn blackheads (I don't have stubborn ones but its just a feeling :D)
Anti mark anti spot claim is totally false
Gives a slight stinging sensation to the area between my nose and upper lip, but nothing serious

I rate this product 3.75 out of 5. This daily scrub is working for my oily-acne prone skin right now but I would not purchase it again since I plan to try out a scrub from another brand. This product is not bad at all but I wouldn't rate it as very good also, just somewhere in between :P

REVLON SUPER LUSTROUS LIPSTICKS- MY FAVS

I dont need to introduce the Super Lustrous Lipsticks from Revlon. The one called Raisin Beam (Frost) from this line was my first lipstick some years back, my mom gave it to me. Though I am not much of a lipstick person I like 5 lipsticks I have from this line, they are my favorites. I do have a handful of nude lipsticks (I will post about those later) but these 5 lipsticks are normal colored lipsticks neither too dark nor too light. Ofcourse I dont use lipsticks I mean the 'colored' ones on a regular basis. But I do apply these pretty shades whenever I feel a little down or the weather is gloomy. Lipsticks are mood lifters I believe. So here are my 5 fav shades of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks (beware I am not so good with colors :P)

The first one is my first ever 'colored' lipstick, Raisin Beam (frost). Its a not too dark raisin color with lots of holographic shimmer in it. It has brown undertones and a single swipe gives me adequate color. This lippie is from the old packaging and not very moisturising like its newer counterparts. Wearable during both day and night, its buildable.

Pure Attraction
Next shade is Pure Attraction (Frost) which is pink with brown undertones. It is packed with silver shimmer which is very fine. Perfect for day time and office wear since the shimmer is not OTT. This shade is nearly a nude shade for my skin tone/lip color. I love this one and use it most amongst these 5 lippies.

Berry Desire
Berry Desire (frost) is lined up next and its a berry color with pink strokes and blue undertones. This one is the perfect berry for me and I just love it. This color brightens up my complexion and I dont need any other color on my face.

Now lets come to Mad About Mauve (Creme) which is kinda bubblegum pink with mauvish undertones. Another instant brightner for my face, when I am in a hurry I apply a single coat of this lippie, put some kajal and I am ready to go.

Chocolate Velvet
Last comes the Chocolate Velvet (Creme) which is a brown with orange undertones. I am not into browns except nudes but when I swatched this lippie, I went mad for it. This lippie is good for day/office wear and night outs as well.
Left to Right- Berry Desire, Pure Attraction, Mad About Mauve, Chocolate Velvet

So these are my 5 favorites from Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. Hope you enjoy reading the post and leave behind your sweet comments. Thanks :)
