LOTUS HERBALS- POMEGRANATE & PLUM ENERGIZING SKIN POLISHER- SWATCH, PICS & REVIEW

Company Says:- Gently removes dead cells and rejuvenates skin. Its deep detoxification re-energizes the skin and impart a clean-fresh look.

Active Ingredients:-
Pomegranate- moisturing and skin renewal properties; helps reduce fine lines & wrinkles, makes skin look younger & radiant
Plum- Rich in anti-oxidants, prevents skin damage & reduces the signs of aging

Ingredients:- D. M. Water, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Fumed Silica, Prunus Murne (Plum) Seeds, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seeds, Prunus Murne (Plum) Extracts, Punica Murne (Pomegranate) Extracts, Olive Oil PEG-7 Ester, Xanthan Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan Gum), Methylchloroisothiazolinone(and)methyl isothiazolinone, 2-Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Ponceau 3R CI No. 16155, Brilliant Blue FCF CI No. 42090, Fragrance.

Results:- Reduces fine lines & combats ageing to reveal luminous skin

Direction:- Gently apply Pomegranate & Plum Energizing Skin Polisher on moistened skin with brisk circular movements on the face and neck. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use daily for younger looking & luminous skin.

My Opinion:- I don't share a good relation with scrubs. Most scrubs irritate my skin and gives a red-abused look to my face. Since scrubbing is an important step to achieving a radiant and glowing skin, I always look around for products that can help me substitute a normal scrub but still give mild exfoliation to my face. This is where a skin polisher sounds too good to be true.

This Skin Polisher comes in tub form and the tub is made of transparent plastic. On opening the lid I found another thin plastic lid to avoid spillage/wastage. At first I was skeptical, a little worried you can say. But when I dipped my finger into the jelly-like skin polisher, I found out the granules in it are very fine. I wet my face and started massaging a small blob of the skin polisher all over my face, neck and nape. It was very gentle on my skin and there was no sign of any redness or irritation.

My first impression on opening the lid was wow looks and smells so yummy :P Very edible indeed :D I have been using this Skin Polisher for more than 15 days now, every single day but once. It is working well for my oily skin and I haven't broken out as yet. I cannot say a word about its anti-wrinkle properties as I don't have any wrinkles/fine lines. Also my skin looks radiant and my friends ask me about the glow. This is proof enough on how much its suiting me. I am using it daily and not experiencing any dryness. My is refreshed after a wash. Its a nice product for girls like me who are sensitive to scrubs.

Very Fine Granules
Pros:-
Gives an instant polished look to the skin
The smell & color is yummmm :D (no I didn't try eating it)
Good substitute of scrubs
Very mild exfoliating, gentle on my skin
Affordable

Cons:-
Leaves behind a red-ish stain on my fingertips, though it goes away after proper washing with soap
Comes in tub form so its not hygienic, tubes are much better

I rate this product 4.5 out of 5. Right now I am enjoying this skin polisher and I recommend it to all the girls who has problem with scrub and to the others also who needs an instant glow on their faces.

VLCC SKIN DEFENSE ALMOND UNDER EYE CREAM- REVIEW

VLCC SKIN DEFENSE ALMOND UNDER EYE CREAM- REVIEW
*All Skin Types
*Removes Dark Circles n Puffiness
15 ml/0.51 fl. oz for INR 150

Company Says:- This unique light formulation with the goodness of Almond n Wheatgerm, nourishes n moisturises the under eye area, helps reduce dark circles and puffiness, firms n tones skin. The natural active ingredients in this cream help in reducing signs of fatigue n stress.

Key Ingredients:- Chamomile Extract, Wheatgerm Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Dimethicone, D-panthenol.

Method Of Use:- Apply appropriate quantity from the inside of the eye contour to the outside. Gently massage the eye contour area with your ring finger. Suits all skin types.

For Best Results:- Use twice a day after cleansing the face.

My Opinion:- Dark circles is a common problem for girls like me who sits in front of the computer whole day. There was too much work in office so I got ugly dark circles. That gave me some tension so about a month ago I bought this cream on the SAs suggestion. The VLCC Strawberry Lip Shield didn't work much for my dry chapped lips so I was skeptical about using this under-eye cream. Then I thought whats the harm in trying :D
The moment I opened the cute little jar I inhaled the fragrance and liked it. On first application I found that very less is needed because it spreads really well, just a tiny dot is sufficient for an eye. I think the product is going to stay with me for a long time. It is a thick white cream but gets absorbed by my skin very fast.
I tried blending a dry kind of concealer with the help of this cream on the dark circles and that ever so hard to use concealer worked for the first time. Then one night I was watching TV and I was so engrossed that by mistake I applied the eye cream on my lips. I always keep my lip balm on bed side table as I have very dry lips and in the middle of the night I might need a little lip balm if my lips feel dry. So that day when I woke up in the morning I felt my lip so soft and supple and saw the eye cream jar on the table I understood the reason for my great lips. I used it on my lips regularly for a week and they healed considerably.
Well, coming back to my dark circles I don't think they are completely gone but they have faded a lot. Many factors do affect our health and I believe dark circles are more of a health problem. Diet, sleep, lifestyle- all contribute to healthy skin/body/mind. A cream alone cannot do everything. Also this cream brightened the skin around my eyes, soothes tired eyes and also gives relieves in case of fatigue. My eyes are sensitive and this cream suited me like anything and never gave me watery eyes or any kind of burning sensation.

Pros:- Affordable, Reduced my dark circles considerably, soothes tired eyes, Less cream is required as it spreads easily

Cons:- Comes in a jar so its unhygienic, no sun protection.

I rate this product 4.5 out of 5 and I don't see this tub getting over in the near future :D

LOTUS HERBALS-APRISCRUB-FRESH APRICOT SCRUB--REVIEW

LOTUS HERBALS-APRISCRUB-FRESH APRICOT SCRUB REVIEW
All Skin Types
180 gms for INR 185

Company Says:- As your hair n nails grow, your skin grows. Upper skin cells become also dead n new cells are developed underneath. It is necessary to remove these dead cells to reveal the younger, radiant skin from underneath. Lotus Herbals Apriscrub is the perfect scrub to scrub away these dead cells gently without rupturing your skin. A young, radiant skin is what you get after using this scrub.

Directions:- Moisten face and neck. Apply Lotus Herbals Apricrub in dots all over and rub with wet fingers in clockwise n anti-clockwise direction massaging gently. Rinse well n pat dry. Apply Alphamoist oil free moisturiser or Safe Sunblock Lotion before stepping out.

My Opinion:- Since Lotus Herbals is a big name in the skincare arena, I was enthusiastic about using it on my face, neck and nape. First time I used it, I felt a little dry (I have oily skin). It was too thick and didn't suit me, I got redness on my face and nape though I was ultra gentle with my skin.

I didn't like its smell, it actually doesn't have much of a fragrance. Although my skin was very smooth after using this scrub, I had discomfort on my facial skin thereafter for a day or two. Later on I tried diluting the thick scrub with a liquid cleanser and used it on my face n neck again. But still it didn't work for me. My skin was red again and dry also.

So I have completely stopped using it on my face n neck. But I have since then started using it on my legs n arms, I need to replenish with a good quality body butter- that's only obvious.

Pros:- Affordable, travel-friendly

Cons:- Though the company says the scrub is for all skin types, I don't think it is wise enough to use it on dry-sensitive skin, too thick in consistency, the lid has become loose so each time I use it I have to seal it with a micro-pore tape.

I rate this product 2 out of 5 and I will never buy it again.

Lotus Herbals- Papaya Blem(Papaya N Saffron Anti Blemish Creme)- Review

LOTUS HERBALS- PAPAYA BLEM (Papaya N Saffron Anti Blemish Creme)- REVIEW
25 gms for INR 180 (approx)
2 Weeks Blemish Fade
All Skin Types

Ingredients:- Papaya Extract, Saffron, Lemon Peel Extract, Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Clove Oil.

Company says:-  The unique blend of papaya, saffron, almond and apricot not only clear blemishes, spots and scars from the face but also makes the complexion fair. Imparts a smooth and spotless glow to the face.

Direction Of Use:- Cleanse face with Lemonpure cleanser. Apply in dots.Gently massage in upward direction. Can be used at any time of the day. For best results, use before bed at night.

My Opinion:- I bought this product because I have 2 faint spots on my left cheek and hoped that it may get cleared up with the use of this product. But to my great disappointment the marks didnt even fade in 2 months time.
My skin is oily and its regular use didn't break me out, nor did it become oilier. One thing this cream did for my skin was that it brightened it to some extent. It also nourished my skin as I used it at nights only instead of mt regular night cream. But then it defeats its very purpose of fading spots.
This cream gives a slight tingling feeling to the skin because of the presence of clove oil. Gets absorbed into the skin pretty soon and spreads well.

Pros:- Can be used as a general day/night cream for the ones with dry skin. Mild saffron aroma is a plus point. Absorbs well into the skin and doesn't feel heavy.

Cons:- Cant be used under makeup so the ones like me can use only at night. Spots didnt even fade leave alone clearing up, even after 2 months of use. Not  good for very oily skin because its consistency is thick though the company says the cream is suitable for all skin types.

I rate this Papaya Blem cream 2/5 and I am sure that I will never repurchase it. Also I would all of you out there not to invest in it. This product puts the company's reputation at stake.

BIOTIQUE'S Morning Nectar Moisturising Lotion- Review

Hi Babes, I am finally foraying into the world of reviewing cosmetic products. Hope you bear with me :D
The first product that I am going to talk about is
BOITIQUE'S -- MORNING NECTAR
Moisturising Lotion For All Skin Types
Bio Lotion 120ml for 200 INR(approx)
Contents: Terminalia Belerica Ext (Behada Kwath)
               Honey (Madhu)
Triticum Vulgare (Germ) (Ankurit Gehun Satva)
               Carthamus Tinctorious Oil (Kushumbhi Tail)
Trigonella Foenum-Graecum Ext. (Meethi Beej Kwath)
               Acorus Calamus Ext. (Vach Kwath)
               Lotion base
Company says:- A light emulsion with the natural goodness of Honey, Wheatgerm and Sea weed. It nourishes skin with natural vitamins. Cures skin infections.
To Use:- After cleansing and freshening smooth over face and throat with upward strokes. Use alone or under makeup.
My opinion:- Since I have been using this product for quite sometimes now, I can well call it my fav moisturiser at all times except when the weather is too hot and humid. During peak summers it seems to make my face a little greasy so I totally avoid it during the very hot days. But for rest of the time its my darling ;)
It is of a light consistency and gets absorbed into the skin very quickly. It makes my skin feel light all day and gives a cool feeling when applied to. Its endowed with a mild sweet fragrance that freshens me up in the morning. It has honey in it which is considered as a powerful natural moisturiser which I like about this lotion.
Pros:- Affordable, Ayurvedic, light in texture so a little goes a long way, I don't break out .
Cons:- Feels greasy under makeup, taged for all skin types but not for oily skin specially in hot and humid summer.
I rate it 4/5 and will definitely buy it again until I find another good moisturising lotion.
