VLCC NATURAL SCIENCES DAILY PROTECT HONEY LIP BALM SPF 15- REVIEW

4 gm for INR 49

Company Says: - This moisture rich formula soothes and condition lips, keeping them soft and supple. SPF 15 protects from harmful effects of sun. Light, non-greasy formula, provides long-lasting moisture, leaving the lips supple and hydrated. Continued use makes lips soft and healthy.

Directions for use: Glide on lips for soft, moisturized lips. Use daily. Apply as often as desired.

Key Ingredients: - Honey, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Oxide, Dimethicone

My Opinion: - After the not so satisfying experience with Oriflame Lip Spa Therapy, today I will be reviewing a very cheap but good lip balm, VLCC Natural Sciences Daily Protect Lip Balm with Honey. The packaging is simple, twist up white plastic tube with a similar plastic cap. Fits into most purses, convenient to use and travel-friendly.

The texture is very very soft buttery and the consistency is thick waxy. The fragrance is nothing special, just mild candy scent which stays on for long. This lip balm is so soft that it melts in the purse and gets deformed. So a little bit of the stick should be twisted up for use and pressure should not be applied.

This lip balm is very moisturing and keeps my lips soft and supple. It is orange in the tube but non-tinted on the lips. Lipsticks slide off when applied over this lip balm so I use it during the night and it stays on it morning. Its a non-sticky but waxy lip balm which gives temporary relief to dry chapped lips. It is not glossy as claimed by the brand but it gives a nice sheen to the lips which I like.

Pros:-

* Very moisturising

* I apply at night and there is still some left on my lips in the morning

* Cheap, dirt cheap actually

* Gives relief to dry chapped lips but that's temporary

* Contains Sun Protection, SPF 15

Cons:-

* Lipsticks slide off when applied over this lip balm

* All effects are temporary

* Melts off and gets deformed

I rate VLCC Natural Sciences Daily Protect Lip Balm 4 out of 5. Its dirt cheap and gives required moisture to my lips at night and my lips are soft and smooth in the morning. A must try for all lip balm lovers.

Hope this review helped you in some way and do leave behind your sweet comments and also share with us your experience with Lip Balms. Thank you and have a great time ahead :)

My Opinion:-

Foot Cleanser
Pedicures are a luxury for most of us. I personally go for it once a month in the winters and twice a month in the summers. But I continue to pamper my feet every week with VLCC Pediglow Foot Care Kit. During the hot days we wear strappy sandals which gives maximum exposure to our feet from the sun and other pollutants. Also the rainy season can bring in some unwanted infection etc, so its gets very important to take extra care of our feet at this time.

This is where this Pediglow Foot Care Kit comes to my rescue, it fulfills my need of maintaining hygiene and pampering my feet at the same time. I follow the instructions religiously but I use 1 lid full of foot cleanser in half a bucket of water instead of the said amount of 4 tsp. The cleanser comes in a flip top plastic bottle and the smell is on the stronger side, smells of soapnut. After soaking for a good amount of time, I use the foot scrub which comes in tub form, its protected with a plastic cover/lid to avoid spillage. It smells very much like Lemongrass. I keep massaging the thick scrub on my feet and cuticles, use a foot file if necessary. This needs to be wiped off with a hot towel and you will already see your feet much cleaner. Then a good massage with the thick foot cream on my feet taking utmost care of my cuticles. Then a spritz of the refreshing foot spray completes my pedicure.

Foot Scrub
The foot cleanser is similar in consistency to most hair shampoos, its runny and foams well. It cleans off my feet making it soft but not dry. The foot scrub has granules that are just right for the feet, it removes rough spots and is not too abrasive. This scrub foams to some extent and is quite creamy in texture. Also the foot cream is watery and get absorbed fast into the thick skin of the feet. It softens the cuticles easily and a little goes a long since it spreads so easily. This cream gives the required moisturisation to my feet. Lastly, the foot spray which I have fallen in love with. It is like a perfume/toner in a spray bottle, it  comes with citrus fragrance which is very refreshing.

Foot Cream
These 4 products combined together gives a gives a good much needed DIY pedicure to relieve tired feet and keep them in tip top condition. Also these 4 products are sold separately and you can get them if 1 of the product gets finished up sooner than the others. I feel relaxed and this treatment at the comforts of my home re-energises me. My feet are clean and soft instantly. I religiously indulge my feet in this treatment and visit a salon once or twice a month. My feet are in pristine condition and I flaunt them with strappy sandals :)

Pros:-
* Its a handy kit and comes with all required info regarding 'how tos' of a DIY pedicure

* Packaging is very good, travel friendly

Foot Spray
* Affordable at Rs 400 per kit

* Improves the overall condition of the feet

* A little goes a long way as you need very little product for each pedicure

* Feet feels rejuvenated and looks well cared for

Cons:-
* Its a bit of a hassle doing the pedicure yourself but its worth giving a try. The not so obsessed ones like me can saves a lot of bucks by cutting off trips to parlors for pedicures.

I rate this product 5 out of 5 as it helps me keep my feet in great shape all the time. The feeling of having well groomed feet at all times is mentally satisfying for me :P This Pediglow pedicure kit is a must try for all the girls who want to care for their precious feet and make them beautiful. Right now I am on my 2nd kit :)

VLCC SKIN DEFENSE ALMOND UNDER EYE CREAM- REVIEW

VLCC SKIN DEFENSE ALMOND UNDER EYE CREAM- REVIEW
*All Skin Types
*Removes Dark Circles n Puffiness
15 ml/0.51 fl. oz for INR 150

Company Says:- This unique light formulation with the goodness of Almond n Wheatgerm, nourishes n moisturises the under eye area, helps reduce dark circles and puffiness, firms n tones skin. The natural active ingredients in this cream help in reducing signs of fatigue n stress.

Key Ingredients:- Chamomile Extract, Wheatgerm Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Dimethicone, D-panthenol.

Method Of Use:- Apply appropriate quantity from the inside of the eye contour to the outside. Gently massage the eye contour area with your ring finger. Suits all skin types.

For Best Results:- Use twice a day after cleansing the face.

My Opinion:- Dark circles is a common problem for girls like me who sits in front of the computer whole day. There was too much work in office so I got ugly dark circles. That gave me some tension so about a month ago I bought this cream on the SAs suggestion. The VLCC Strawberry Lip Shield didn't work much for my dry chapped lips so I was skeptical about using this under-eye cream. Then I thought whats the harm in trying :D
The moment I opened the cute little jar I inhaled the fragrance and liked it. On first application I found that very less is needed because it spreads really well, just a tiny dot is sufficient for an eye. I think the product is going to stay with me for a long time. It is a thick white cream but gets absorbed by my skin very fast.
I tried blending a dry kind of concealer with the help of this cream on the dark circles and that ever so hard to use concealer worked for the first time. Then one night I was watching TV and I was so engrossed that by mistake I applied the eye cream on my lips. I always keep my lip balm on bed side table as I have very dry lips and in the middle of the night I might need a little lip balm if my lips feel dry. So that day when I woke up in the morning I felt my lip so soft and supple and saw the eye cream jar on the table I understood the reason for my great lips. I used it on my lips regularly for a week and they healed considerably.
Well, coming back to my dark circles I don't think they are completely gone but they have faded a lot. Many factors do affect our health and I believe dark circles are more of a health problem. Diet, sleep, lifestyle- all contribute to healthy skin/body/mind. A cream alone cannot do everything. Also this cream brightened the skin around my eyes, soothes tired eyes and also gives relieves in case of fatigue. My eyes are sensitive and this cream suited me like anything and never gave me watery eyes or any kind of burning sensation.

Pros:- Affordable, Reduced my dark circles considerably, soothes tired eyes, Less cream is required as it spreads easily

Cons:- Comes in a jar so its unhygienic, no sun protection.

I rate this product 4.5 out of 5 and I don't see this tub getting over in the near future :D

Another Mini Haul

Hi Babes, I am back again with another random mini haul. I bought 3 things this time and again the total bill amount was around INR 520.

I heard a lot about VLCC's Pediglow and inquired about it. When the SA presented it to me, I simply said yes to it. It cost me about INR 400.

Next was a Lotus Herbals Nail polish in 972 Gold Mist for INR 95.

Last thing was a black bead necklace with colorful motifs, for INR 20 only :D

Next in the line will be a lotus haul, till then take care.

VLCC- Strawberry Lip Shield- SPF 10- REVIEW

VLCC- Strawberry Lip Shield- SPF 10
 10 ml/0.34 fl. oz for INR 85

Company Says:- This unique lip shield enriched with Strawberry, Vitamin E and Shea Butter, helps heal chapped lips, conditions and keeps them smooth, while protecting them from harmful effects of the sun (SPF-10)

Ingredients:- Ricinus Communis Oil, Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Shea Butter, Di-Methicone, Vitamin E.

My Opinion:- My lips get chapped and flaky as soon as it gets a little cold outside, literally they start peeling off- yes they do :P. My lips are not what you would call pink but they are not dark also. So all the time I have to wear a lip balm to protect and moisturise my lips.

When I bought this lip balm, I was happy with the company's claim and its lovely red color. My happiness continued when I first opened the lid of the tub and took in the aroma of the product. The delicious strawberry scent made me compare it to a jar of strawberry jam :D. It is not tinted.

I took a little on my fingertip and it was waxy not oily. On first application I found out how well it spreads on my chappped-peeling lips. After sometimes I felt my lips soften, the balm stayed on for about 2 hours before I had to reapply it. So i kept apply it every now and then, but if I didn't apply it for a longer period then my lips dried up again.
It didn't moisturise or condition my lips as claimed by the company. It was just like a coat of wax over my lips- as long as it stayed it worked but as soon as it was wiped out or I had food, the soft and smooth feel was gone.
But then if I use the balm under a non-SPF lipstick, it works well and keeps my lips moisturised. Maybe its going to work for me in the summers when my lips are normal.

Pros:- Easy to carry, contains SPF, deliciously scented, affordable.

Cons:- Available in tub form, so its not hygienic; have to sanitize my hand before using it; not suitable for chapped lips neither heals them- as claimed by the company.

I rate this product 3 out of 5 as of now. And I will have to try it out in the summers before saying anything about repurchasing it.

RANDOM MINI HAUL- MY FIRST HAUL POST

I was out with friends this evening and enjoying myself but something was missing. Then suddenly I figured out that I had not shopped for quite sometimes now due to my tight schedule.

I couldn't even think of any particular thing I needed right now. So aimlessly I headed towards a beauty store and ended up purchasing these products for INR 515.

Since I am crazy about fairness and stop removal these days so I bought this Pond's white beauty (special offer pack) for 185 INR

I am badly into lip balms and as soon as the SA suggested me to try out the Vlcc lip shield I agreed to her and bought it for some 85 INR.

I really needed an under eye cream so when I inquired about one, the SA presented me with a Vlcc under eye cream. I paid around 150 INR for it.

Nail polishes are a weakness :D so had to buy atleast one. After a lot of careful searching I fell for a Lotus nail polish, 94 Cozy Mulberry for INR 95.

And as I was searching for nude nail colors and couldn't find one, the manager was kind enough to gift me with a nude color from Streetwear, Barely nude for INR 45, I got it free though :D

So thats it and I will be back soon with the reviews. Wishing all my dear readers, followers and well wishers a very very happy and joyous Diwali and Dhanteras.
