LAKME EYECONIC KAJAL- SWATCHES & REVIEW

0.35 gms for INR 199

Company Says: - The new Eyeconic Kajal by Lakmé is literally iconic as all you need is one sweep of kajal and it lasts for 10 hours. The product is waterproof, it doesn’t smudge and it is even safe for the eyes since it is dermatologist tested.
10 hours     No Smudge      Waterproof        Dermatologically Tested

My Opinion: - For me kajal is a must, I have been applying kajal on my eyes since I was hardly 15. I still do till this day. Kajal adds definition and depth to the eyes. I apply kajal on my waterline as well as I line the upper lid with it. Today I am reviewing this newly launched Lakme Eyeconic Kajal as I have used it for more than 10 days and I am happy with its performance. The packaging is sleek and it looks like a black plastic pen with a similar cap which clicks shut tight. It can be thrown into the purse without worry. And since it’s very slim and trendy, I don’t mind carrying it around with me in my purse for touch ups.

              This kajal is not very creamy and intense black as well. A couple of swipes are required to build up the intensity. But it glides on my lids without pulling or tugging. The Eyeconic kajal is matte and has no glossy effect to it. I use it as suggested by the company and truly it does not smudge on my oily lids. I have to swipe atleast twice on my lids and 3-4 times on my waterline for an intense black line. In an air-conditioned environment, it stays put for about 5 hours on my waterline and 8 hours max on my lids after which it starts to fade off a little. But in non air-conditioned environment, it fades and smudges a little on my waterline after 3 hours and simply fades off on my lids after 6 ½-7 hours. The 10 hour claim is not true.

                    The company rightly says that this kajal is smudge proof and after it sets in (after 2 mins), it cannot be smudged. But touching the eyelids with fingers can ruin and smudge the line. I have not done any eye makeup look with this kajal and I have been using it on my naked lids (powdered) and I am quite happy with the results. Since Lakme says that this kajal has been dermatologically tested so it feels safe to use it daily and with lens too (yes I am a chashmish :D). one big drawback is that the ingredients are not listed on the pack. And I don’t know what’s this fuss is all about using the Bi-phased Makeup Remover. Plain almond oil works well to remove all the traces of this kajal from my eyes. But simply washing off with water won’t help as it is truly waterproof and face washes also don’t help much.

SWIPED ONCE

Pros: -

* Claims made by the company are true- its smudge proof, its waterproof and it’s dermatologically tested.

* Affordable at Rs 199

* Available at all Lakme counters and cosmetic shops

* Packaging is slim and it looks like a pen

* Should fit into most purses, though touch-ups are not necessary

* Thanks to Lakme for the easy instructions on the back of the pack

* Glides on my lids without tugging and pulling

* Stays on for long hours

Cons: -

*10 hours claim is not true

* Ingredient list is missing

* This kajal is not intense black and its matte too; some girls/ladies might not like this

           I rate this Lakme Eyeconic Kajal 4.5 out of 5. Girls/ladies I strongly recommend this Kajal to each one of you, it’s a must try product which is very affordable and also it works so well. Kajal lovers go ahead and grab this baby right now. Another good kajal from Lakme once again :D

Simply awesome. I always go for a smudge look for my lower eyelids so for any kajal I apply a thick layer and always had to worry about the layer getting disoriented but with EYECONIC KAJAL I sport my look with elan. No offense to Colosal Kajal butI did not find it as good as this.It stays intact for atleast 8 hours and thats quite a lot for me.
Just I feel irritated while returning from office, by the thought of having great task ahead...removing the kajal.......lol

My eyes water and I have a burning sensation....Does anybody else also have teh same problem...or its just that i have too sensitive waterline?? I bought the iconic Kajal..after reading a lot of good review....but I feel very drowsy and sleepy...because of burning sensation ....Any help or suggestion????

Seriously I felt maybelline colossal kajal is the best and worth for the money when compared to Lakme Eyeconic kajal. Maybelline colossal kajal stays longer and smudge free. Actually its a 6hrs kajal and stays longer than that. But Lakme Eyeconic kajal is a 10hrs kajal and doesn't even stay for half a day. In my experience its not even half a day. Not at all worth for the money. Maybelline colossal kajal is the BEST.

@Preeti Shobha- go ahead and without a doubt you will love it

@Agomoni- good to know that you love the Eyeconic Kajal so much. Use almond oil and q-tips for easy removal of the kajal. Thanks

@Samruddhi Kamble- sorry for the late response. I too have the same problem when using some kajals, if this one doesn't suit you, no problem. Try Shanaz Hussain kajal as it is herbal. Try it outand let me know. Ok.

@Anonymous- you will have to experiment with different kajals but my suggestion would be you visit some good eye specialist. Take care of your eyes, using eye drops also helps in my case. Hope this helps

@Anonymous- you are right, me too loves the colossal kajals but for me Eyeconic kajal works well for me as well. Thank you for the sweet comment :)
