Available in 5 Shades:

* Porcelain
* Fair Nude
* Olive Beige
* Natural Beige
* Tanned beige

My Opinion :- The last foundation I tried was Oriflame Everlasting Foundation, then I got lost in the crowd of BB Creams and man let me tell you I have them all. But today I have another foundation from Oriflame and that too in two different shades- Fair Nude & Olive Beige. Luckily for me both shades suited my skin tone pretty well. Oriflame has a vast range of foundations and I have not tried much from them, the first one I think is the Everlasting one which I loved a lot for its long staying power. Since these are the second ones, I was very excited about them as well. To know my experience with these foundations read on girlies.....

                        Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Foundation tube comes boxed in a black cardboard box which carries all the necessary information like the ingredient list, product details, manufacturing and expiry dates respectively. The actual foundation comes in a translucent plastic tube which corresponds to the shade of foundation inside the tube, with black fonts and a black screw-on cap. This tube packaging is classy, hygienic as well as travel-friendly. The neck of the tube (nozzle) is blunt like medicated ointments and gets messy, so once in a while I need to clean off the nozzle and the cap with a tissue.

SWATCH- OLIVE BEIGE

SWATCH- FAIR NUDE

                               Now let's come to the shades but before that I shall tell you a little about my skin tone and type. I have fair to medium skin tone with yellow undertones and my skin is generally oily but as the days are getting colder, my skin has become more of a combination type. The shade Olive Beige suits me very well as it comes with yellow undertones but surprisingly the shade Fair Nude is for fair but suits me too as it has neutral undertones. Both the shades look a little whiter when applied and gradually they adapt to the skin tone, that happens within a few minutes. Both these shades as you can see from the swatch pics don't differ much from each other, they are a tad bit different. These foundations do not leave behind the much hated whitish cast inspite of containing SPF 15 and surprisingly photographs well.

SWATCH SPREAD- OLIVE BEIGE (L) FAIR NUDE (R)

                            The texture of these foundations is runny but not watery though they are buttery soft to the touch and looks creamy. The fragrance is very mild and negligible, nothing overpowering or medicinal like the Everlasting Foundation. Only a pea-sized amount is required to cover the entire face and neck. I don't apply a moisturiser underneath this foundation as it is moisturizing enough in itself but if you have dry skin you would need to moisturize properly before slathering on the Studio Artist Foundations. The coverage however might not be liked by all, it's sheer to light and layer only causes a build-up of product.

                           It evens out the skin tone and gives the feeling of My Skin But Better (if there exist such a term...lol). These ones would definitely hide minor skin flaws, little bit of redness and slight skin discolorations but ladies with major blemishes,flaws, heavy under-eye circles and lot of redness would undoubtedly need the help of a concealer.These foundations give a dewy glow to the skin which we all love to flaunt during the cold days. But then sadly it makes my T-zone shiny within a couple of hours even in an air-conditioned environment. Nothing that a good translucent powder/compact powder can't fix.

                              The staying power is a little low considering the price, the foundation starts to fade off after 5 hours max after which it evaporates, I mean it totally disappears suddenly and you are left with a stark naked face. But a quality primer definitely increases its longevity, say upto 7 hours max after that it fades off evenly. Fortunately I am working for 6 hours these days and I am using one these two Studio Artist Foundations on a daily basis depending on my mood. I have tried applying the foundation with my two most beloved brushes- Real Techniques Buffing Brush & Sigma F80, both gave good results but I felt my fingertips worked the best for me with these foundations. These comes with SPF 15 but photographs well, which is great quality in foundations that comes with added sun protection. Another plus point I forgot to mention above is that these foundations do not oxidize on my skin.

 Pros:

* Light-weight foundation
* Blends easily with fingertips

* Sheer to minimum coverage, good for everyday wear

* Evens out the skin tone

* Non-cakey

* SPF 15, but does not leave  behind a whitish cast

* Photographs wells

* Hides minor flaws

* Does not oxidize, stays color true

* 5 shades will cover all Indian Skin Tones I suppose

Cons:

* Oriflame consultants are difficult to come by

* Expensive for a minimum coverage foundation

* Staying power is not good

                  I rate Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Foundations 4 out of 5. I love the texture and feel of the foundation but the staying power is less. I don't mind wearing a sheer coverage foundation as I have no acne or any other skin problem right now. Highly recommended to girls who want to flaunt naturally healthy looking skin.

ORIFLAME EVER LASTING FOUNDATION- LIGHT IVORY- SWATCHES & REVIEW

Up To 10 Hours

With SkinRenew Complex

30 ml for INR 790

Oriflame Says: - Our Beauty Ever Lasting Foundation with patented technology provides medium to high coverage and gives your skin a velvety smooth and flawless finish. Developed after years of research at the renowned Oriflame Skin Research Institute, this foundation contains the exclusive Skin Renew Complex, which is proven to have a dual anti-ageing effect. It not only nourishes and smooths the surface of the skin but also penetrates the deeper layers to promote renewed skin with a fresh youthful feel.

Ingredients: - Aqua, Cyclopentasiloxane, Titanium Dioxide, Cyclohexasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Nylon-12, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Cetyl Peg/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Hexyl Laurate, BIS-PEG/PPG-14/14 Dimethicone, Polyethylene, Mica, Caprylyl Methicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methyl Paraben, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Parfum, Propyl Paraben, Trimethoxycaprylysilane, Disodium EDTA, Alumina, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Hydrolyzed Cranberry Fruit/Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499

My Opinion: - After a long hiatus I am back with the review of my present favorite foundation, Oriflame Ever Lasting Foundation and I had to choose the shade Light Ivory as the other shade available (Porcelain) has pink undertones and would never suit me. This shade has adequate yellow undertones to match my skin tone and I was more than happy the first time I applied it. Now coming to the packaging, this foundie comes in a cylindrical plastic see-through bottle with a deep red pump dispenser attached to its head. The lid is also made of see-through plastic which clicks shuts very well. It comes boxed in a pale yellow carton which actually looks like some medicated product. Overall the packaging is sturdy, convenient to use and carry around during travels.

The fragrance of this foundation is kind of medicinal which fades off upon application. It looks like a thick cream but texture is buttery and glides on the skin easily. On applying this foundie to the skin, it becomes liquidy and blends in easily. I use either fingertips or a stippling brush to apply this foundation, the former gives sheer to medium coverage whereas the later gives medium coverage with an airbrushed look. This is one of those foundations that you can apply and forget that you are wearing something on your face. Its very light weight and gives that no makeup, seamless look to your face.

This foundation gives medium coverage and is buildable, half a pump more will give you nearly-full coverage. When I use this foundation on my face, I don't need an extra concealer for my under-eye area and minor imperfections as they are covered to quite an extent. But it does not minimizes the pores around my nose instead settles into them as time passes on. And there arises the need to apply a primer which I don't mind as I have gotten into the habit of applying primer regularly since more than a year now. This foundation has anti-ageing ingredients in it with Skin Renew Complex but it comes without sun protection factor. Atleast it is not mentioned anywhere in the outer carton or on the bottle so I prefer to use my moisturiser+sunscreen religiously.

SINGLE PUMP

Even after layering moisturiser and primer underneath this foundation, it does not look cakey or heavy on the skin. It gives awesome wear time, I put it at 8 in the morning and it lasts till I am back home by 6 in the evening. It makes my T-zone a little shiny after 4 hours when I stay indoors with air-conditioner and I prefer to dust off the area with a translucent powder. But in a non air-conditioned environment, it makes my T-zone shiny after 2.5 hours. The foundation does not fade off or becomes blotchy throughout the day. It stays in place all day and looks fresh with 1 or 2 touch-ups till I am back home. The best part is that it never irritated my already irritated skin and also didn't break me out. Isn't is a great foundation girls???

SWATCH- BLENDED

Pros:-

* Lasts very long, rightly named Ever Lasting

* Didn't break me out or irritated my skin

* Gives medium coverage which is adequate for me

* Buildable to some extent

* Does not give that cakey or heavily made-up look

* Keeps fresh all throughout the day without fading

* Covers up minor flaws and under-eye circles

Cons: -

* Expensive (Wait till sales)

* Available only through Oriflame consultant

* Does not contain Sun Protection

* Seeps into the pores as time passes by, if used without a primer

            I rate Oriflame Ever Lasting Foundation in Light Ivory 4.5 out of 5. This foundation is my favorite nowadays. I just wish Oriflame threw in SPF 20 atleast. It gives sheer to medium coverage and can be built up, can be worn during the day as well as night with good results. Stays on whole day on the face without budging from place even it the hot weather. Out and out a good foundation from Oriflame.

MAYBELLINE DREAM LIQUID MOUSSE-CREAMY NATURAL- LIGHT 5- SWATCHES & REVIEW

30 ml for INR 575

Company Says: - The Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation is the first liquid foundation to provide a unique airbrush finish for a flawless complexion and Poreless skin. It has a revolutionary formula that combines a liquid with the air-soft feel of a mousse. The product delivers on three common problems many women encounter: texture correction, tone harmonizing, and luminosity. The new Dream texture provides a smoother, more even and luminous complexion. Dream Liquid Mousse brings skin the great coverage of a liquid foundation with the most comfortable lightweight feel of a mousse.

Available in 6 shades.

Ingredients: - Aqua/Water, Isododecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Cyclohexasiloxane, PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disteardimonium Hectorite, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Capryl Glycol, Disodium Stearol Glutamate, PEG-9, Aluminum Hydroxide
[+/- May Contain: CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide, CI 77499, CI 77492, CI 77491/Iron Oxides] FIL D32376/1

My Opinion: - I must be last beauty blogger to review this Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse. I have used it in many ways and since many many months now. The packaging of this foundation is a thick bottle with a beige plastic pump dispenser. The pump dispenser needs to be turned to the left to unlock and then only it would dispense the product. Hence its travel-friendly and hygienic as I don't have to dip my fingers to take out product. But the bottle is prone to breakage with falls, so needs to be handled with care.

                 It has no fragrance whatsoever and that it a big advantage for girls with sensitive skin/nose. It is thicker than most liquid foundations and very creamy as well. The texture right away hints on it being air-whipped. I use a sunscreen on my skin and then apply this foundation. It blends like a dream and easily spreads on my skin. I use my fingers to blend in it but foundation/stippling brushes just as fine. Sponges also work well with this foundation but I prefer fingers for the ease of blending.

THE HOLE GETS CLOGGED WITH FOUNDATION

                      This foundation gives a matte look to my skin upon application but becomes dewy after on hour or so and later on it becomes a little greasy. This foundation stays put on for atleast 5-6 hours in an air-conditioned environment without a compact/loose powder but in a non air-conditioned environment is needs to be touched up sooner, say around 3-4 hours. Otherwise it lasts on my skin for a long time, though summer calls for frequent touch ups in a non air-conditioned environment.

                          This liquid mousse gives medium coverage which can be built up if required to a high coverage. I don't need to use a concealer on my under circles (mine are light) and I can skip concealer totally if I use this foundie a little more on my blemishes/imperfections, not that I have a problematic skin with lots of spots/flaws/imperfections. It does not oxidise on my oily skin nor does it gives me a cakey look. Photographs well, no white cast since it does not comes with Sun Protection. You can never have everything at once :P

                             This foundie did not break me out or irritate my skin. It actually gives an airbrushed effect to my skin as claimed by the brand. Pores around my nose are gone, they are made invisible by this liquid mousse. It does not settles down into the pores and give that aweful look which we all hate. Does not give my skin a heavily made up look even after layering. My skin looks fresh and alive with tjis foundation on.

Pros: -

* Easily Available & Affordable

* I need only 2 pumps for each application, little goes a long way

*Blends well with fingers but I do use a stippling brush at times

* Buildable, can be layered and built up to high coverage

* Gives medium coverage, girls/ladies with minor imperfection need not use a concealer

* Pores are minimized

* Gives my skin Airbrushed look

* Does not oxide on my oily skin

* Does not break me out or irritate my skin

BLENDED

Cons: -

* Transfers to cell phone screen, collars, necklines, tissues, etc etc

* Needs to be powdered a couple of times throughout the day , well thats ok with me

* The hole on the pump dispenser clogs with dried foundation if I donot use it for a couple of days

* No Sun Protection (I use a sunscreen underneath it)

             I rate Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse 4.75 out of 5 for the airbrushed look it gives my skin. Oilies like me will certainly need powdering couple of times but its totally worth it. Great for normal and dry skin types. A great foundation for my skin and luckily the shade sent by PR/Brand matched me perfectly. Thanks Maybelline for this Baby :D

Hope this review helped you in some way, do leave behind your lovely comments and also share with us your experiences with Maybelline Foundations. Thank you and have a rocking Saturday :)

LAKME FACE MAGIC DAILY WEAR SOUFFLE- NATURAL MARBLE- SWATCHES & REVIEW

30 ml for INR 99

Company Says: - Discover Lakme’s  Face Magic Daily Wear Soufflé. A lightweight water-based foundation that gently evens out your complexion. With the goodness of Sunscreen, Cucumber Extracts and Vitamin E, it provides UV protection in addition to soothing and moisturizing your skin, giving you a natural flawless glow.
For longlasting, flawless radiance, apply Face Magic Daily Wear Souffle before stepping out everyday!

Ingredients: - Not Listed

Available in 3 shades: -
Pearl
Marble
Shell

My Opinion: - Lakme Face Magic Daily Wear Souffle is my first ever foundation, I bought my first tub years back and since then I continued using it. The shade I am going to review is my summer shade, Marble, but in the winters I use the shade Pearl. This is a water based foundation (read tinted moisturizer), which is good for my oily skin. The packaging is so cute; it’s a heavy glass jar with a beige-pink plastic screw on lid. On opening the main lid, another plastic protective shield can be seen which saves the product from getting transferred to the main lid.

                             It smells weird, like some medicine. But the annoying smell is gone after 5-10 mins of application. The consistency is somewhere in between a cream and a lotion. It’s not very runny and not very thick either. This soufflé is very light weight and blends well into the skin. It’s a product that can be used on a daily basis and specially when in a hurry.

                                  This foundation never broke me out and inspite of using many other foundations, I always keep a jar of this soufflé with me. It gives no coverage and you have to hide flaws with a concealer if any. If not properly blended, it may give a streaky look to the face. One very annoying thing about this foundation is that it stains my collars and gets transferred to the cell phone screen. It is embarrassing to use a tissue in public if I have this soufflé on my face.

SWATCHED IN DAY LIGHT
                                      This soufflé oxidizes on oily skin and gives a orangey look, so be careful with this. The lasting power is horrible at 2 hours max (3 hours in an ac environment) during the summers but in winters it stays on for 3-4 hours and more in an air-conditioned environment. I like this foundation because it dries off to give a matte finish to my skin. And also its finish is more like liquid foundation- set-with-compact type.
BLENDED IN DAY LIGHT

Pros: -
Dirt cheap
Never broke me out till date
Water based, dries off to a matte finish
Light weight
Cute packaging

Cons: -
No coverage
Lasting power is not good
Only 3 shades available, the shade Marble is a little dark for me even after I get tanned
Oxidizes on oily skin
Ingredients not listed
SPF not mentioned

                            I rate this Lakme Magic Daily Wear Souffle 3.75 out of 5. Inspite of all the cons, I use it and will keep using it. It’s good for combination as well as oily skin but girls with dry skin stay out as this soufflé dries out once applied. Gives a streaky look on dry skin, my friend said this to me. This is my first foundation and I prefer calling it a tinted moisturiser.

                            Hope you enjoyed reading this review and benefitted too. Please do share your views about this product whether or not you have used it. Thank you and do have a good day.
