My Opinion: - There has been an overload of brush reviews in BDI, for a change here I am reviewing Avon's Fairness Exfoliation Face Wash. I use exfoliating face wash regularly specially in the summers and this time I chose this one from Avon. The packaging of the face wash is very pretty and girly. The plastic tube is a pin and white gradient with a navy blue screw-on cap. This tube is travel friendly as well as hygienic. Its a small tube and can be thrown into your purse for emergencies.

                    The fragrance of this exfoliating face was is sweet and fruity. I think it will be liked by most people even by the ones with sensitive noses. The testure is that of a clear gel, not thick but not even runny. The gel is infused with very tiny grains which are not visible to the naked eyes. But these grains are extremely mild and non-gritty. I take out a blob of this face wash on the back of my hand and gently massage it onto my wet face for a minute or two. I wash off by splashing water and it goes off easily. The grains are gentle on my skin but gives a good polishing and cleansing. It brightens and adds a glow to the skin temporarily.

                     I have been using it on and off  for sometimes now (2 months) and the tube is nearly over now. I think daily use will give 40+ days of product and since I have not been using it frequently, the tube still has a few uses of product left in it. Therefore its affordable at Rs 95 and you need a small blob for every use. This face wash lathers a little and beauties who love their face washes to foam a lot might not like this. It removes light makeup (moisturiser, compact powder) effortlessly. It gives a clean and fresh feel to my skin after using it making it soft and supple. For the past one week I have been using it daily just to finish it off and it has not irritated my skin or dried it. Perfect for daily use.

             I rate Avon Care Fairness Exfoliation Face Wash 4.5 out of 5 as it is very affordable and cleans my skin perfectly. With regular use, this tube of face was will take 40+ days to get over. It didn't irritate my oily acne prone skin and didn't dry out my skin with daily use. Avon claims this face wash is suitable for all skin types, but I have doubts very dry skin beauties might not like it as much as oily skin beauties would.

My Opinion: - I bought this brush long back with Oriflame Beauty Reveal Kit in a combo offer, so I got at a much cheaper price. This happens to be my first highlighting brush. A lot of different brushes are used for highlighting- a fan brush, small buffer, tapered brush to name a few. But here is this flat brush with tapered nylon bristles that I have been applying cream highlighters with. Coming to the appearance of this highlighter brush, it has a glossy black ferule and a matte black sleek wooden handle. Its not too long or too short, the length of the brush is perfect for handling and using it as needed. The nylon bristles were a little pokey at the beginning and were not very soft. But continuous washing has soften the bristles and now the pokey-ness is gone. The bristles are dense and tightly packed.

                  I wash my brushes at night and leave them to dry overnight, that way I don't keep checking on them and waste time and get annoyed. I have washed this brush in-numerous times but it has still retained its shape. This brush is easy to wash and dries fast. It doesn't comes with a brush guard but in a mere see through plastic pack which is not reusable. The bristles never shed on me. And over a period of time they softened considerably.

                     This brush came with the Beauty Reveal Kit which is a Define, Highlight & Sculpt kit. It works decently with it but other than that when I had used it with my Rouge Bunny Rouge highlighters, it refused to blend. This brush left ugly streaks on my face and I have to use fingertips or a buffer brush to blend everything in. So what's the functionality of this brush? It came in handy to apply highlighter on my brow bones and also to apply concealer under my eyes. But of late I have been using this brush with my Maybelline Color Tattoos, both to apply and to blend. And it works amazingly well. Another brush from Oriflame which is multi-tasking but sadly i haven't seen it in recent catalogs.

* Sturdy brush, the wooden handle and matte polish is still intact after in-numerous washes, it still looks new after 2 years

* Leaves streaks on the skin if not blended properly

* Difficult to use with liquids

                  I rate Oriflame Beauty Highlighter Brush 3.75 out of 5 as it works best with the kit it came with. Though I have found many other uses for this good looking brush, still I have to confess that it leaves behind streaks when working with liquids. But as of now i still use it after 2 years but for the Maybelline Tattoos :P

My Opinion: - Now I am reviewing the best brush of the lot, Oriflame Professional Double-ended Eye Shadow Brush. Coming to the appearance of this Double-ended eye shadow brush, it has a glossy black ferule and a matte black sleek wooden handle. Its not too long or too short, the length of the brush is perfect for handling and using it as needed. The pony hair bristles are very soft. The bristles are dense and perfect for packing on color on the lids. The sponge tip on the other other end is soft and spongy as it ought be, its not rough like some that comes with eye shadow. 

                        I wash my brushes at night and leave them to dry overnight, that way I don't keep checking on them and waste time and get annoyed. I have washed this brush in-numerous times but it has still retained its shape. This brush is easy to wash and dries fast. It doesn't comes with a brush guard but in a mere see through plastic pack which is not reusable. The bristles didn't shed on me, not even once. Even I have washed the sponge tip applicator a few times and it is still intact. Of course an extra applicator is provided for future use.

                      First let me come to the flat shader head, it can give tough competition to high end shader brushes. It picks up required quantity of eyeshadow (loose/compact) and packs it on the lids very well. It helps in blending to quite an extent but ofcourse a blending blush is ideal for the job. But if you are in a hurry or travelling, this brush can help you apply shadow as well as blend it.


                 Now the sponge tip is softer than most other sponge tip applicators that comes with eye shadows. It doesn't wear off/give away upon washing, atleast I have washes it a few times before using the extra sponge tip provided. This applicator is superb for smudging and hence with this one brush you can create a smoke eye look. This sponge tip also helps in blending to some extent. But once both the sponge tips are gone, you are only left with the flat shader which is also an awesome brush. Its a must in my vanity.

* When I run out of both the sponge tip applicators, one end of the brush will become useless

                    I rate Oriflame Professional Double-Ended Eye Shadow Brush 4.5 out of 5 as it the softest, cheapest and one of the best eye shadow brush in my humble collection of eye shadow brushes. Although its dirt cheap at Rs 179 and the sponge tips will give away sooner or later, its one of the best brush which does its job perfectly. Highly recommended.

My Opinion: - So continuing the reviews on Oriflame Professional Brushes, the next brush I am reviewing here is Oriflame Professional Concealer/Lip Brush. Now coming to the appearance of this concealer/lip brush, it has a glossy black ferule and a matte black sleek wooden handle. Its not too long or too short, the length of the brush is perfect for handling and using it as needed. The nylon bristles on both ends of the brush are soft. Both sides are flat and dense as you can in the pictures.

CONCEALER  BRUSH HEAD

                       I wash my brushes at night and leave them to dry overnight, that way I don't keep checking on them and waste time and get annoyed. I have washed this brush in-numerous times but it has still retained its shape. This brush is easy to wash and dries fast. It doesn't comes with a brush guard but in a mere see through plastic pack which is not reusable. The bristles didn't shed on me, not even once.

                        Now coming to the functionality of this brush, I will first come to the lip brush end. It has a rounded tip and tapered sides which makes it perfect for filling in color on the lips. It picks up a decent amount of lip product and easily deposits it onto the lips. No streaks, flawless application. I used it with neutrals/nudes as well as brighter deeper shades and it worked well with both.

LIP BRUSH

                      Now coming to the concealer brush end, it disappointed me. The shape is tapered & pointed and perfect for reaching nooks and corners of the nose, eye and around the mouth. This brush does not blend the concealer well, it leaves ugly streaks all over the under-eyes which I need to go over with finger by patting. It does not absorbs the concealer whether liquid or creamy but it does not have the ability to give that flawless perfect blended look. An average brush and this can happily be skipped.

LIP BRUSH  HEAD

                    I rate Oriflame Professional Concealer/Lip Brush 3.5 out of 5 as the concealer brush end is a dud. You can happily skip this brush but at Rs 149 you could go ahead if you have a soft corner for Oriflame like I do. Lip brush on the contrary is much better and if you are inti the habit of using a brush to apply your lipstick, then this brush is a cheap option.

My Opinion: - After the Oriflame Professional Fan Powder Brush, today I am reviewing the Oriflame Professional Blending Brush. Now coming to the appearance of this blending brush, it has a glossy black aluminium ferule and a matte black sleek wooden handle. Its not too long or too short, the length of the brush is perfect for handling and using it as needed. The goat hair bristles are soft and rounded and a little bit longer compared to other blending brushes. This brush is fluffy but not dense enough.

                        I wash my brushes at night and leave them to dry overnight, that way I don't keep checking on them and waste time and get annoyed. I have washed this brush in-numerous times but it still retains its shape. This brush is easy to wash and dries fast. It doesn't comes with a brush guard but in a mere see through plastic pack which is not reusable. There has been no bleeding and sheding of the bristles. OK now, I wanted to say that there have been difference of opinion regarding the softness/roughness of the bristles of this brush. But I think its quality varies batch to batch. This type of inconsistency can not be expected from a brand like Oriflame.

                 This blending brush is multi-tasking, whereas it does the blending well, it can also act as a contouring brush, also I have used it to set concealer on my under-eye areas with a dash of loose powder and it can be used to highlight the face as well. I have used this brush for all the above mentioned jobs and it has proved its multi-functionality. But it is a blending brush and it is not tapered but rounded which makes it a liitle difficult to blend shadows in the crease. Either you have to apply minimum pressure i.e. use the brush with a soft hand or if you apply pressure the rounded head will spread and either the shadow will rub off or blending will look muddy.

                    I rate Oriflame Professional Blending Brush 4 out of 5 as the tip is rounded and it is a little tricky to make it work. Otherwise it is a good multi-tasker and sturdy brush. Also its cheap and still retains its shape after so many washes. Very affordable and good for practice. Actually at Rs 149 what could I expect more. I recommend to all beginners and Oriflame fans.

My Opinion: - Today I am reviewing Oriflame Professional Fan Powder Brush. Now coming to the appearance of this fan brush, it has a glossy black ferule and a matte black sleek  wooden handle. Its not too long or too short, the length of the brush is perfect for handling and using it as needed. The goat hair dual colored bristles are very soft and does not irritate the skin. The brush is flat and fluffy as a good fan brush ought to be. 

                        Now coming to the functionality of this brush, it works great to dust a dash of loose powder on the T-zone or the entire face to set makeup, its excellent to dust off excess powder off the face and finally to highlight the high part of the cheek-bones. But the versatility of the fan brush makes it great for applying very pigmented powder blushes as this brush picks up very less quantity of product and also using bronzer on the areas naturally hit by sunlight. I have a fan brush from Coastal Scents but that one is a very big one but its a nice one. And then when I saw this smaller fan brush, I bought it immediately. Now I love it so much.




                       I wash my brushes at night and leave them to dry overnight, that way I don't keep checking on them and waste time and get annoyed. I have washed this brush ample number of times and till today it has retain its shape and looks like its still new. It never sheds and bleeds on me. This brush does not come with a brush-guard but in a mere plastic see-through pack which is not reusable. But inspite of not having a brush-guard, it has not lost its shape. To me it looks like a Japenese Fan :P

I shall keep using this fan brush until I find a better one which has to be similar in size to this fan brush.

My Opinion: - After the foundation brush, I wanted to review the Oriflame Professional Powder Brush but it seems I have misplaced it as I have been using the Real Technique Brushes more often. So here I am with the review of Oriflame Professional Blush Brush which I didn't quite like. Now coming to the appearance of this blush brush, it has a glossy black aluminium ferule and a matte sleek wooden handle. Its not too long or too short, the length of the brush is perfect for handling and using it as needed. The goat bristles were soft when it was new and was non-scratchy too. 

                       This brush is not as dense as I would like my blush brush to be, but it is very fluffy as you can see in the pictures. It is too fluffy and this is the reason it it difficult to blend with this brush. It also does not picks up the required amount of product (blush) and this is the reason I have stopped using this brush altogether. But when this brush was new, the story was different, it was less fluffy and did a decent job. It picked up required amount of product and blended well but needed some extra effort. I am a clumsy girl and wash my brushes once a week. The good story of this brush changed with 6-7 washes, less than 2 months of use :(

                      I wash my brushes at night and leave them to dry overnight, that way I don't keep checking on them and waste time and get annoyed. This brush has been easy to clean and dried fast, no problems here. But it sheds with every wash, seriously 4-5 hairs shed every time. Initially I liked this brush taking into consideration its price of Rs 279, I had bought all of them when they were introduced with discounts.  But later on, as I kept on washing it, it lost its shape and became rough and scratchy to quite an extent. And one more thing I just remembered, its head was once rounded in shape but now it is more on the flatter side. End of its story :(

                 I rate Oriflame Professional Blush Brush 3.25 out of 5 as it has lost its shape over a period of time. The bristles have become scratchy and rough and irritates my skin. Just after 6-7 washes it has become useless. So girls save your money for better brushes. But the girls who have started learning to apply blush can give this a try for practicing.
