My Opinion: - Ok I know the words "Suede Nail Enamel" might be confusing to many a ladies, it is basically a matte nail paint with fine shimmer in it which actually gives it the so called "Suede" look. Avon launched these Suede shades sometimes back and the one I bought was Blue Royale, you guys know how mad I am about Blue Polishes :P Coming back to the review, this suede nail enamel comes in the same old Avon Simply Pretty packaging, cute little elongated bottle with a pink cap, the packaging is sturdy I must say. Since the bottle is tiny, it houses only 5 ml of polish which is good in a way. Less product means we can finish it off soon and get some more.

                   This polish is thick, not exactly like the matte polishes. If you keep the brush exposed in air, the polish becomes gloppy  Otherwise its not that very hard to apply kind of polish but you need to work a little faster than you do with your regular polishes. The brush is a good one taking in consideration its price of Rs 85. Does not give a streaky finish. Well the amazing thing is that only a single coat is enough for full opacity but I opted for 2 coats without any special reason or special effect. Anyways this Suede effect gives a sultry, elegant and stunning look to my and I got a lot of compliments from my friends this evening.

               The shade is a very gorgeous taupe, brown mixed with grey and loaded with very finely milled silver shimmer. By looking at the bottle you would think that this is one of those shimmery silvery brownish shade but on application the story is completely different. Actually the silver shimmer gives it the so called "Suede" finish. The nail paint is very easy to remove and the shimmer is gone and does not sticks to the skin around the nails like it usually happens. Now coming to its staying power, its real bad as it chipped on the 3rd day morning itself. On my hands polish chips a little late than they usually do because I am not into household work. I could not apply a top coat as applying one would beat the very purpose of "Suede" nails and I also didn't have  matte top coat. In India as far as I know only Bourjois has a matte top coat (correct if I am wrong) and I am getting it asap.

Pros: -

* Affordable, especially during those sales

* All 5 shades in this Suede Range are awesome, but for me the topper is Touch of Taupe

* Elegant Suede finish, silver shimmer adds to the beauty

* Dries in a minute, good for those days when you can't sit for long for your nails to dry

* Not difficult to apply as in matte polish, but you need to be quick

* Brush is good quality

* Easy to take it off

* Single coat is enough for full opacity

Cons: -

* Chipped in 3 days

* Available only through Avon Representatives

* Polish becomes gloppy when it comes in contact with air

                     I rate Avon Simply Pretty Suede Nail Enamel 4 out of 5. Inspite of the cons I gave a 4 because of the stunning taupe shade and also because a single coat is enough for full opacity. Whether you use base coat or not, your manicure will see you through only 3 days or less. This particular shade will suit fair to medium skin tones and would be a great everyday/office/college wear. The present Avon Catalogue (No. 7) has these Suede Nail Enamels on discount. Go ahead and grab them if you liked the subtle and elegant finish.

STREET WEAR NAIL COLOR- MAUVE MAGIC 38- NOTD & REVIEW

9 ml for INR 95

Company Says: - Shake gently, apply 2 coats. Flammable. Keep away from heat or flame.

Ingredients: - Not Listed

My Opinion: - Street Wear nail paints are for some reason underated nails paints, I don't mean the small cute bottles that each one of us own. Here I am talking about the big square bottle with grey long caps....yes yes those. Being so much into nail colors, it was shocking that I had totally forgotten about these. So this time I took out a few of these nail polishes and today here I am reviewing street wear nail color in 38 Mauve Magic, a a pastel mauve shade with pink undertones and a slight touch of brown. It is a creme shade and this creamy-ness adds a polished look to my hands.

                          The smell is on the stronger side and stays on for an hour or so after application. I think these are loaded with chemicals and hence the strong awful smell. The Nail Paint is not thick nor thin but of the right consistency. Now coming to the brush it is quite thin and you would need many strokes to cover a nail which is not convenient. Also the brush gives streaky application which looks odd and dirty. The first coat gives good coverage and second coat gives full opacity but leaves a little streaky-ness, hence the third coat becomes necessary. But inspite of this nail paint being difficult to apply, it is very easy to remove.

                           This Street Wear Nail Color lasted on my toes for more than a week but chipped on my tips on the 5th day. This nail color stayed glossy and fresh for only 2 days and then a top coat/gloss was required but I didn't use one just to check how long it stays on my nails without a gloss/top coat and it stayed for 5 days but the polish faded around the tips and gave a stale look to my nails after the 2nd day on-wards. One big advantage is that this nail paint didn't stain my nails. This Nail Paint takesw a little time to dry but not long hours, so you cannot apply it when you are in a hurry. At Rs 95-100 for 9 ml these are average nail paints but of late I haven't seen them in shops/counters. May be they are discontinued, if yes I wont miss these because I love the cute little bottles much more than these biggies.

Pros: -

* Affordable and Easily Available (I haven't seen these in a long time but I might be wrong)

* Very pretty creme finish Mauve-Pink shade with brown undertones

* The shade plus the creme finish gives a very polished, well cared for look to the hands

* Lasted for 5 days on my nails and stayed on till I removed on my toes

* Easy to remove

* Didn't stain my nails

* Available in many creme shades as well as pastel shades as far as I can remember

Cons: -

* Stayed fresh for only 2 days

* Faded around the tips and gave a dull/stale look after 2 days

* I haven't seen these nail paints around in a while

* Strong smell means lots of chemicals

* Difficult to apply due to thin brush

* Brush quality is below average

                     I rate Street Wear Nail Color in 38 Mauve Magic 3.75 out of 5 just because of the shade alone. Inspite of all the cons, the shade is so classy and gives a polished look to my hands and that's why I have given it a 3.75. These types of shades gives a clean and very well maintained look to your hands. If not this particular nail paint try a similar shade from a  different brand and see it for yourself.

Ingredients: - Not Listed

My Opinion: - I am a fan of creme polishes but I love other finishes also. Its just that I can't resist nail polishes with creme finish. Ok today I shall be reviewing Avon Nailwear Pro in Loving Lavender which is a pale (not dull) lavender with blue undertones. It is one shade which gives a well manicured and polished look to my hands.

                  The bottle is rectangle shaped with a black plastic cap/lid which is synonymous to most nail polishes. The smell is not too strong which I like. This shade Loving Lavender is great for everyday/office wear. It is a glossy shade but the glossy look stays on for 3 days max. After that I need to apply a top coat or better still a gloss.

                   This shade does not fade off or becomes dull. The brush is good enough and does cover the entire nail in 3 strokes. This shade Loving Lavender needs 2 coats for full opacity but a 3rd coat adds depth and density. First coat gives a sheer coverage but second coat is enough for full opacity.

               This shade stayed on my nails for 5 days without chipping or fading. I love this pretty shade and its apt for spring as well as summers. Its a light shade which gives my hands a polished look. Its easy to apply and easier to remove. This range of nail paints from Avon is mostly on sale so wait till one of those sales/discounts and grab your favorite shades at a much lesser price.

Pros: -

Very pretty pale (not dull) Lavender shade, rightly called 'Loving Lavender'

Perfect for everyday/office wear

Gives a well maintained and polished look to the nails

2 coats give full opacity

Smell is not very strong

Did not stain my nails or dry them out

Came out with a spring collection but apt for summers as well

Brush is good enough and does not give a streaky look

Cons: -

Availability, can be procured through Avon Representatives only

                        I rate Avon Nailwear Pro in Loving Lavender 4.25 out of 5. Pretty Lavender shade in creme finish, total love <3 <3 Highly recommended for girls who can carry pale shades. I adore Avon Nailwear Pro range very much and have most of the shades which I shall talk about later.

ELLE 18 NAIL POPS- SHADE 70- NOTD & REVIEW

5 ml for INR 50

Company Says:- Nothing as such

Ingredients:- Not listed

My Opinion: - I wear Nail Paints at all times and the only gap between 2 manicures is a day at the most, sometimes I just rest my nails overnight and that's it. Next morning I clean my nails with a brush and file them a little. Thereafter I apply a base coat and then apply a shade according to my mood. Today here I am reviewing a pretty red based coral from Elle 18 Nail Pops in the shade 70. I love the little round bottles, they look like ittar/perfume bottles. The glass bottle is sturdy and the black plastic lid is just around 2 inches. The packaging is cute.

             The shade (70) is very bright and neon coral with red undertones. These kind of shades are great for the summers and look great on Indian skin tones. Elle 18 has a huge range of Nail Pops and they cost you only 50 bucks, that's super cheap. But I hate it when brands just number their products instead of naming them. They could have named it Neon Coral, as simple as that. Ok I know I am not creative either :P

                  The polish is quite thin and sheer and has a strong chemical smell which all of us dislike. Atleast 3 coats are required for evenness, the first coat gives a sheer and streak-y look, the second coat gives a semi sheer look and the third coat gives full opacity but for full intensity of the color to show through, a fourth coat is required which I detest and don't have the patience to go for. So I stopped at the 3rd coat and it was kind of ok.

                      The brush is not at all good, leaves behind streaks and gives uneven application. This nail paint stayed on for 5 days but faded and cracked a little but didn't chip a bit. This nail paint was glossy for 2 days after which I applied a glossy top coat and looked freshly applied till I removed it on the 5th day of application. At 50 bucks I couldn't ask for more. This is a fun shade but not wearable to the office/college, its perfect for parties and outings.

Pros:

* Dirt Cheap and easily available

* Very bright summery color- red based coral and that too creme finish <3 <3

* Stayed on for 5 days without chipping

* Would suit most Indian Skin Tones

Cons:

* Needs 4 coats for full intensity but I stopped at 3 coats

* The brush is not the best of quality, gives streaky & uneven application

* Faded on 3rd-4th day and it crinkled/cracked also

* Strong chemical smell puts me off

                  I rate Elle 18 Nail Pops in the shade 70 3.75 out of 5. Inspite of all the cons specially the brush being not so good, I rate it 3.75 just for the lovely bright summery color. Recommended for all girls who love the color Coral.

AVON SPEEDDRY+ NAIL ENAMEL- TWILIGHT BLUE- NOTD & REVIEW

8 ml for INR 165

Company Says: - High impact color that dries in less than 30 seconds.

Available in 12 stunning shades:

* Twilight Blue (The one reviewed today)

* Red Wine

* Boysen Berry

* Strawberry

* Red Red

* Bronzess

* Adoring Rose

* Rose Armour

* Vamp It Up

* Ballerina

* Mink

Ingredients: Not Listed

My Opinion: - These days I am reviewing all the nail paints that I am wearing, each and every one be it any brand any shade. So today I have Avon Speeddry+ Nail Enamel in the shade Twilight Blue which is a metallic navy blue. It can be best described as a deep metallic blue with black undertones but this shade is so subtle that I don't mind wearing it to office or any other formal occasion. It has bright blue finely milled shimmer which don't show up on the nails.

                      This nail paint smells strongly of chemical and is comparably thicker than most other Avon Nail Paints that I have used but its not gooey. Two coats are required for full opacity. The first coat gives a streaky look and medium coverage but the second coat gives full coverage. The brush of this particular nail paint is thinner than other Avon nail paint brushes I have come across but 3 strokes are enough for coverage a nail.

                     This nail paint lasted for 3 days on my nails and on the 4th day it chipped very badly and I had to take it off. It was on my nails for 3 days and in  these 3 days it didn't fade around the tips of the nails and also stayed glossy enough without a top coat. But with a top coat this nail paint would stay longer on my nails. This nail paint did stained my nails to some extent but the damage is minor.

                Now we all love  quick drying nail paints as they are easy to handle. Just apply it and wait for a minute or at the most 2 and you are good to go. This nail paint dries in 45 secs to 1 min but better not touch it for another minute. This nail paint is easy to apply and easy to take off. I have a couple more shades from this Speeddry range and I shall let you all know if those also chip on the 4th day of application.

Pros: -

* Gorgeous Metallic Blue

* Easy to apply and take off

* Dries very fast ( 1 min)

* Stayed glossy for 4 days until removed

* Didn't fade around the tips of my nails

Cons: -

* Stained my nails a bit (don't wear this/any dark shade without a base coat)

* Chipped off on the 4th day

* Available only through Avon Representatives

* This Speeddry+ range is seldom on discount, and Rs 165 I would get better nail paints than these

                    I rate Avon Speedry+ Nail Enamel in Twilight Blue 3.75 out of 5. It's a gorgeous metallic blue and highly recommended to all blue nail paints fanatics. Beauties with dark knuckles kindly avoid this particular shade.
