THE NATURE'S CO BEAUTYWISH BOX- NOVEMBER

                             Last month when most of the blogosphere raved about The Nature's Co Beautywish Box, I sat back and decided to order for November. I did and was sent a questionnaire to fill, I received my Beautywish Box for November yesterday morning. That's how a monthly beauty box should be sent out... a big thanks to TNC for sending out so early. This month's theme seems to be the upcoming/ongoing winters. Everything was laid out inside a pretty girly woolen cap in purple. The beautybox came with 7 products & 3 cards- a Tea Trunk discount card + a lemon green tea bag, TNC complimentary spa treatment card & finally a 35% discount card on all the items sent to me in this box. So let's see what I got in my first beauty box from TNC

All the 7 samples....

1. Vanilla Creamy Body Wash- 20 ml
2. Sweet Almond Foot & Toe Cream- 20 ml
3. Kiwi Hand & Nail Cream- 20 ml (I love this one, have the full size already)

1. Apple & Guava Hair Cleanser- 25 ml
2. White Peach Body Butter- 25 ml

1. Vanilla Vitamin E Face Cream- 10 ml (Using as night cream)
2. Vanilla Lip Butter- a tiny bit

I am already using few of the above products and liking it but has the box been customized is the big question. But then I am loving the skin care samples and would subscribe for next month as well and then decide whether to go for a long term subscription or not.

Hope you all enjoyed the post. Thank you very much and have a great evening girls :)

My Opinion: - Some days back I reviewed Nivea Repair & Beauty Lip Balm which I have been using at nights and reaping good results. So today I am here with my views regarding Maybelline Baby Lips Anti-Oxidant Berry Lip Balm which I have been using during the day. But let me tell you girls here itself that this is not the only lip balm I am using during the dayWithout wasting much time let me come to the packaging of this lip balm which is super cute retractable blue tube with pink cap and cuter pink font on the tube. This way it is very travel-friendly, can be applied on the go without a mirror.

                                  The fragrance is very mild and reminds me of fresh berries. Its a pleasant fragrance which most people including the ones with sensitive noses will love. The lip balm is baby pink in color and it is buttery soft and glides on the lips with ease. Just a couple of swipes is all you need to get baby soft lips for hours.  Actually the lip balm stays on for 4 hours at the max with light snacks and completely goes off after a full meal. It needs to be reapplied every few hours when worn alone but if used underneath a lipstick its effects stays on for much longer periods. This lip balm is non-tinted and hence I love to wear it under lipsticks. It comes with the added advantage of SPF 20 and that is the main reason I prefer to use it during day time.

                            Ok I tried using this lip balm twice at night and the results were simply awesome. My lips were baby soft and very well hydrated, I found my lips to be pink and very smooth & supple. This lip balm basically does whatever Maybelline claims but the effects are temporary, my lips are hydrated, moisturised and soft & supple only when the lip balm is on. As soon as the lip balm fades off, slowly the lips become a little dry so I have to keep reapplying it whenever required. My lips are well moisturised and protected from the sun and that's enough reason to say this lip balm from Maybelline is worth the hype and rave reviews from my blogger friends. I love it too, I am also using the Berry Crush one which is tinted and comes with SPF 16.

Pros:

* Affordable & Easily Available

* Contains SPF 20

* Mild berry fragrance <3

* Makes lips soft and supple as claimed

* Highly moisturising

* Colorless hence perfect for use underneath lipsticks

* Buttery texture helps it glide over lips easily

Cons:

* 8 hours moisture claim is false

               I rate Maybelline Baby Lips Anti-Oxidant Berry 4.25 out of 5. I am a self confessed lip balm addict and try my hands at all possible lip balms I come across. A very affordable lip balm in a very catchy packaging which gives you baby soft lips, then why not give it a try this winter and pamper your lips. And good news for all the men out there, this lip balm is non-tinted and you too can grab one for yourself. Next I plan to get the Mango Pie one. Recommended for all lip balm fanatics :D

Hope this review helped you in some way and do leave behind your sweet comments and also tell us which is your favorite Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm. Thank you and have a beautiful day everyone :)

VIVEL SKIN NOURISHING SOAPS- GREEN TEA & MIXED FRUIT+CREAM - REVIEW

100 g bar for INR 22

Vivel Says: - This new skin nourishing range with Vitamin E under the Vivel brand is a manifestation of the growing consciousness amongst women towards personal grooming and the compelling need for nourishment.

** Vivel with Green Tea and Vitamin E is a unique offering in the Indian Soap industry. Vivel with Green Tea deep nourishes skin and prevents accumulation of skin impurities. Vivel Aloe Vera with Vitamin E deep nourishes to give satin soft skin.

** Vivel Mixed fruit + Cream with Vitamin E is a double delight for one’s skin. It is a unique 2-in-1 soap enriched with mixed fruit extracts of Pomegranate, Avocado and Papaya and Milk Cream. It not only nourishes but also gives skin a youthful, radiant glow. Vivel Refresh + Moisturize offers dual benefits of freshness and moisturization with Zesty Orange extracts and Milk Cream.

My Opinion: - Its been too long that I have stopped using soaps, seriously I don't remember the last time I used one. But yes it was Dove Cleansing Bar that I last used many many years ago. That's was one reason I was excited to see the soaps from Vivel with their other goodies. I first opened the Vivel soap with green tea plus anti-oxidants, it is a soothing milky green bar. The fragrance is a very refreshing green tea and after many days of use, the freshness still exists. Then I opened the Vivel soap with mixed fruit plus cream and it has a beautiful white & pink pattern, quite pleasing to the eyes. The fragrance of this soap is fresh fruity which I like. Both these soaps comes boxed like most soaps available in the market.

Both these soaps foam very well and are creamy. These did not melt and after many days use, the soaps still has their original shape intact. They did not dry out my skin after a bath and I have been washing my hands with these soaps instead of my regular Avon Red Rose & Peach Liquid Hand Soap and I must say I am really impressed with both of them. In normal skin care, Green Tea is used on Oily Skin and Cream & Vitamin E used on normal & dry skin but here I did not see any mention of any particular skin type recommendation on the cartons of these 2 soaps. But the bottom line is that soaps are made to clean your skin and this both the soaps did without a doubt. Recommended to all soap lovers.

               I rate Vivel Skin Nourishing Soaps (green tea & mixed fruit with cream) 4 out of 5. I recommended these soaps to all people who use soap on a daily basis. Both these soaps are affordable and easily available.

Thank you and have a wonderful time ahead :)

MAYBELLINE HYPER GLOSSY LIQUID LINER- BLACK- SWATCHES & REVIEW

3 g for INR 225

Maybelline Says: - * Glossy intense finish
                                * Smooth and precise application
                                * Waterproof, smudge-proof

Ingredients: - Aqua/Water, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer, Dipropylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Steareth-20, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil,Phenoxyethanol, Laureth-21, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, p-Anisic Acid, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Maltodextrin, Tocopherol [+/- May Contain: CI 77266/Black 2] (F.I.L. B52117/1)

My Opinion: - Liquid liners are a staple in my makeup kit, the basic Blacks & Browns are a must along with the Blues & Purples & what-nots. So today I have chosen my HG black eye liner, it is Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner in Black. This eye liner comes in a black tiny plastic tube, the applicator brush is much longer than the actual tube containing the liner. The tube is tiny, a little over 1 inch and the applicator is a little under 3 inches. The screw-on elongated brush makes the packaging mess-free and travel-friendly.

                   This liquid liner smells like commercial ink if you inhale directly from the tube but otherwise it is basically fragrance-free as you will not get the inky-smell upon application. The liner is intensely pigmented and I would call it Jet Black like most of my blogger friends have described it. The formula is liquidy but not runny or watery nor is it dry, it's more of a gel-like. A single swipe is more than enough to give definition to my eyes. I suggest you avoid multiples swipes as this makes it flake off after 4-5 hours. The liner dries in a jiffy and you don't have to close your eyes and keep waiting for it to dry, it takes a maximum of 20 seconds to dry up. I use it in the mornings when I am pressed for time.

                                   This eye liner is glossy and you can see this when light hits your eyes or out in day light. It stays glossy and looks just applied whole day, I love the fresh look it gives to my eyes all throughout the day. The glossiness does not fade or becomes matte which makes me love it. The liner does not smudge or budge from its place even on my oily lids until I choose to remove it. The brush applicator is very fine and gives control over the thickness or thinness of the line I choose to apply. The brush is perfect for wings, flicks and near about anything. The brush picks up enough product for each eye and is very similar to Lakme Absolute Shine Line brush but a tad bit thicker.

                                Finally coming to the waterproof claim, its totally false. This eye liner is water-resistant as you can see in the below pics where I have shown the swatch unmoved after splashing with water but if you disturb the liner after it comes in contact with water, it smudges and is gone in seconds. But even if the liner is not disturbed after coming in contact with water, it will stay put as it is and this property of this product is called water-resistant and not waterproof.This eye liner otherwise stays on till I remove it say 8+ hours. But I thing which bothers me is the quantity of product which is way too less, if used daily I guess it would finish off in about 45 days. All other claims made by the brand are correct to my knowledge and therefore it is a near HG Liquid Black Liner.

SWATCH- NATURAL LIGHT

SWATCH- ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING

SWATCH AFTER SPLASHING WATER

Pros:

* Affordable & Easily Available

* Jet Black Glossy Liner

* Glossiness gives all day fresh look

* Dries fast, you don't need to wait

* Stays on for a long time

* Does not smudge or budge after it sets

* Applicator brush is very thin, perfect for very thin lines & wings

* Water-resistant

Cons:

* Flakes after 4-5 hours if you swipe multiple times

* Quantity (3g)  is too less, with regular use it would get over in about 45 days or so

* Not waterproof but its water-resistant

VERY FINE BRUSH APPLICATOR FOR PRECISION

                   I rate Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner in Black 4.5 out of 5 for its ease of application, glossiness and super fine brush applicator. If you love glossy eye liners and don't have the habit of messing up with your eyes, then yes this one could be your favorite liquid liner. But as for the waterproof claim, nope its water-resistant. Recommended and my near HG black liquid liner.

Hope this review helped you in some way and do leave behind your sweet comments and also tell us which is your favorite black Liquid Liners. Thank you and have a rocking weekend everyone :)

MAYBELLINE 24 HOUR COLOR TATTOO- BAD TO THE BRONZE- SWATCHES & REVIEW

4 gm for INR 350

Maybelline Says: - 24HR Intensity, Tattoo Tenacity.
                             * Dare to wear our longest-lasting shadow.
                             * Our ink technology creates super-saturated color.
                             * Cream gel smoothes on for vibrant color that does not fade.

Available in 8 stunning shades:

1. Bad To The Bronze
2. Bold Gold
3. Fierce And Tangy
4. Pomegranate Punk
5. Edgy Emerald
6. Tenacious Teal
7. Painted Purple
8. Audacious Ashpalt

My Opinion: - The first shade I bought from this range of Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo is Bad to the Bronze along with Bold Gold. The Bad To The Bronze one, I have already hit pan as I wore it every single day back then. And according to me its the prettiest of all the 8
shades available, its a bronzy-browny shade with cool taupe undertones. Its a unique shade and I do not have a similar shade in my entire eye shadow collection. It was love at first sight and I picked it up immediately. This cream shadow comes in a not-so-heavy glass jar with a black screw-on lid. The packaging is travel-friendly and apt for on the go use. This cream shadow has a bit of inky smell to it but it's not strong enough to put you off.

                    The texture is soft and buttery which makes it easy to apply on my lids without tugging which is a good point. Its a smooth & creamy gel based shadow which needs to worked fast with. I apply it on one after the other eye so that it might not dry up and blending is easy. It does not dry very fast but still need to work fast. It comes with a brush which is decent enough to apply the cream shadow but I prefer fingers to the brush as fingers makes it much easy to apply, spread as well as blend the shadow with ease. It looks quite shimmery on the pot and actually its loaded with very finely milled iridescent and gold shimmer, you can see that on very close inspection. Also I found a few random specks of silver shimmer in it but on application it gives more of a pearly finish rather than a shimmer look.

              The pigmentation is decent and a single swipe is enough to cover your lids but if you want more coverage, it can be built up for more opacity. Whenever I am rushing out which nearly always I am, I reach out for this color tattoo as I can apply & blend it with my finger. Then I need to apply just eye liner & mascara and I am good to go. This color tattoo can be used alone or topped with other shadows but I mostly prefer wearing it alone. This cream shadow once set, does not smudge or budge from its place. It did not crease or melt in the hot summer days, but my friend who has dry lids complained of a dry-wrinkly look after this shadow sets. It is waterproof and stays on my lids with a minimum (negligible) amount of fading for a good 7-8 hours. Removing this cream shadow is easy, you just need to wash off with face wash and water.

SWATCHED HEAVILY

Pros: -

* Affordable and Easily Available

* Texture is buttery & soft

* Glides on my eyelids without pulling or tugging

* Stunning shade of taupe-bronze which will suit/flatter most Indian skin tones

* Can be used alone or as a base

* Does not dry immediately, can be smudged & spread at ease

* Stays on for ever, till I remove it myself

* Easily washes off with face wash & water, no makeup remover required

* Lovely pearly finish makes it good for everyday wear

* Decently pigmented, can be built up for opacity

* Does not smudge & budge

* Waterproof

SWATCHED HEAVILY- AFTER PLACING UNDER WATER

Cons:

* Imparts a dry & wrinkly look to the lids if eye cream is not used underneath for girls with dry lids

LEFT- SINGLE SWIPE & RIGHT- DOUBLE SWIPES

                I rate Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze 4.5 out of 5. A neutral pearly-finish browny shade for everyday wear and will suit most Indian skin tones. It is my favorite go-to shadow whenever I need to rush. Although I have hit pan on this color tattoo, I still have much product left in it to repurchase. But I definitely will once it gets over which I don't think is anytime soon. Highly recommended for girls who adore neutral shades.

Hope this review helped you in some way and do leave behind your sweet comments and also tell us which is your favorite shade of Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo. Thank you and have a rocking Afternoon :)

ORIFLAME LIP IMPACT CRAYON- STRIKING ROSE- SWATCHES & REVIEW

3.9 gms for INR 329

Orifl
ame Says: - As a busy working woman you don't have much time to spend on your lips. So here is a lip crayon that will offer long lasting wear without drying your lips. The smooth texture glides on to lips giving truly intense color in only one stroke. Super comfortable, silky feel and moisturising formula to help prevent lips from drying. High coverage, medium shine. Long wear without color bleed. One smooth swipe and lips are saturated with intense color and plush moisturising lip goodness.

STRIKING ROSE (MIDDLE)

Ingredients: - Polyisobutene, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Cera Microcristallina, Olus Oil, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Mica, Myristyl Lactate, Myristyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Candelilla Cera, Parfum, Propylparaben, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate

Available in 6 Intense Shade:

1. Electric Red
2. Deep Berry
3. Intense Cherry
4. Striking Rose
5. Pink Impact
6. Vibrant Almond

My Opinion: - Lip crayons do look cute and most of us have gone crazy and grabbed as many as possible from all brands that launched these crayons. When I saw similar crayon in the Oriflame catalog I grabbed 3 of these- Vibrant Almond, Pink Impact & Striking Rose. Oriflame chose to call them Lip Impact Crayons and today I am going to put forward my views on the shade Striking Rose which is a pretty but vibrant pink with blue undertones, bright and vivid just right for the winters. The packaging is similar to all lip crayons but this one does not have the twist up/down mechanism and it needs to be sharpened. The crayon has a plastic body and its color corresponds to the shade of lipstick inside it. The lid shuts tight and is of deep blue-black color. This makes it easy to carry around in the purse.

STRIKING ROSE (MIDDLE)

                       The fragrance is that of chameli ka tail (Jasmine Oil) but thankfully it fades off after 15-20 mins of application. The texture of this lip crayon is extremely soft & buttery and the consistency is that of a thick liquid lipstick. It is very pigmented and a single coat is enough for full coverage. This lip crayon in Striking Rose is glossy so I prefer not to use a gloss on top of this lip color. This particular shade stays on for a long time but does not survive a full meal. It fades off after 3-4 hours and leaves behind a beautiful pink stain. This lip crayon is easy to apply and travel friendly. You wouldn't need to add gloss on top of this shade as it is glossy all by itself. Ok this particular shade is not an everyday wear shade of lip color as it is a bold pink and it is not wearable for office/college, atleast for me.

SWATCH- ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING

                         I could use this lip crayon only thrice before the tip went blunt. Since its too soft, sharpening it is a pain and also a lot of product goes waste. My favorite Lakme Sharpener doesn't help as the crayon is a little thinner for the jumbo hole and a little thicker than the normal hole. So I had to get myself a brand new Oriflame Sharpener but I haven't given a trail. This lip crayon moisturises my lips and doesn't give that dehydrated-stretchy feel to my lips. You may or may not wear a lip balm underneath as this lip crayon does not accentuate the flakiness and deep lines of the lips if you have any. As I said earlier, the tip of this lip crayon is very soft you need to be careful while applying, a little too much pressure will break the tip. Once I left the lip crayon in Vibrant Almond in the car for 2 day, and later when I checked it... eewww it melted and the shape of the tip was disfigured. Therefore I don't think it would be a good idea to carry it in your bag.

Pros:

* Affordable (grab them during discounts)

* Very soft & buttery, glides on lips with ease

* Highly pigmented

* Lasts for 4-5 hours and leaves behind a beautiful stain

* Easy to carry around & great for on-the-go touch-ups

* Moisturising and hydrating but does not bleeds

* Does not settles into the lines of lips

* Vibrant pink shade which will suit the festive mood

SWATCH- NATURAL LIGHTING

Cons:

* Sharpening this lip crayon is a pain as it is too soft

* I had to purchase Oriflame Sharpener as the crayon did not fit the standard jumbo or normal eye/lip pencil sharpener

* Melts like hell so think before carrying it in your purse

                  I rate Oriflame Lip Crayon in Striking Rose 4 out of 5. Its a bold but gorgeous shade of pink and should suit most Indian skin tones. If you purchase Oriflame Lip Crayons, make sure to ask for their sharpener as well. Recommended only to beauties who love to wear bold, bright and vibrant shades on their lips.

Hope this review helped you in some way and do leave behind your sweet comments and also tell us about your experience with Oriflame Lip Products. Thank you and have a beautiful day :)
